She always gave me exactly what I had asked for and envisioned in my head. She recently moved and referred me to Midori who is also amazing and just does exactly what I am looking for. The salon itself is super clean and all of the staff are very friendly. Drinks are offered to you as soon as you walk in and everyone says hi. Basically, when I have friends who complain about where they're getting their hair cut I always tell them to check out Wicked.

I was…read morevery specific during the consultation: keep the top and crown longer, work with my natural texture and cowlick, do not expose more of my scalp, and do not go too short. I also explained that I style my hair with my fingers and powder rather than a round brush. Erica appeared to understand and agreed with what I was asking for. Despite that conversation, she repeatedly cut around my head until most of it was approximately the same short length. I had to tell her to stop when she began another pass. The crown I had spent five months growing out was cut off, while my bangs and front were barely touched. The result looked square and blunt rather than textured, balanced, or tailored to what we had discussed. During the blow-dry, a metal or wire-style brush was used even after I had explained that this was not how I style my hair, and my scalp was red afterward. I also left with loose hair and clumps of cut hair down my back. Once I got home and saw the full result, I was devastated and cried for a couple of hours. We contacted the salon manager the following day hoping to discuss the experience and a refund, but the response felt dismissive and showed no meaningful flexibility or empathy. A bad haircut is upsetting; having clear instructions ignored and then having the concern brushed aside made the experience much worse. I cannot recommend this salon.

I called the salon/spa as soon as we hung up with his sister. The person that answered the phone said it was no issue and she was very kind. Unfortunately, later that evening we received an email stating we were no-shows and we were then charged $300 on our credit card. I called to speak to the owner on Monday. Instead of being, compassionate and kind she lectured me on how many visits I had to cancel in the past year. She agreed to the refund but inferred that I am not welcome back and also would not let-up on the cancellation history. We've been frequent guests at BVI over the years and even held our daughter's wedding shower there in 2024. It's disappointing that an experience at Luxe has now colored how I feel about the property as a whole, given how loyal we've been. Of the appointments I did need cancel for medical reasons (13 over the course of a year), my shortest notice was 9 days and longest was 108, averaging about 7 weeks. That's real time to fill those slots, not someone trying to hurt the business. Their cancellation policy states no less than 24 hours notice is required. I did well over that each time. I typically would book months in advance because securing the people I want and the dates/times I want is not easy if I wait too close to the dates/times I need. This causes me to have to adjust the appointments at times due to medical issues I was having at that time. I explained this to the owner, but she still was very aggressive and heartless.

It really didn't even look that great. I had to pay another $175 for that. I just did not want to pay another $350 for my wedding day and not be completely happy.

With everyone I have worked with - facials, haircuts, massages, etc., I have always felt comfortable (I've been a client for 8 years). If I have had an issue, which happened one time early on, Jen, the owner, made sure they did the right thing. Jessica Martin, the massage therapist I see, is absolutely amazing! She cares about her clients, she takes the time to find out what you need and puts her "all" into her work. She is easy to reach and to book services with. She offers cupping, hot stone, deep tissue or you can get just relaxation massage. Definitely worth the visit! And, their prices are very reasonable.
