I tried one thing here, so this review is based on that! Pekara was a charming and unassuming bakery. It felt very Eastern European and when we arrived around 10am, a lot of things were sold out. This is definitely more of a takeout spot, but you are able to sit there if you'd like. The person behind the cashier was really kind and patient. We tried the blueberry puff. And for what it's worth, this was the group's top pastry of the day. I love that they toasted it up for us. The pastry itself was buttery perfection and the custard inside was really nice. One of us bought sourdough bread to-go that seemed really delicious. I'd come back to this bakery to try more.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel easy and relaxed. We ordered the Salmon BLT and the deviled eggs topped with lump crabmeat, along with (1) coffee, (2) mimosas and (1) white sangria- which was my favorite. I really liked the crab dip! It was creamy and flavorful. After placing some salad orders, the food came out, but we were not brought utensils to eat. The meat was not cooked how we asked for it to be, and one of the plates had to be sent back to be cooked more. After around 20 minutes, we were finally given forks to start eating. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and despite my fish being a bit underdone, it was pretty good. I wish there was more dressing on the salad though because it was a bit bland and dry. It also seemed like our waiter was super stressed as he was genuinely running through the restaurant at times.

I don't know if it's being overly fried or if it's the brand of chicken they are now using. I noticed that they don't sell individual pieces any longer which is not an issue if it's good. It's a cute little, but spacious place located next to an airport building. It's on the corner and has a nice little outside seating area with about 5 tables. Inside is bigger than it looks and has a nice amount of seating as well. Since my time was limited, I didn't really get to explore the menu like I wanted, so I ordered a hazelnut latte and a ham & cheese croissant. Their croissants looked so good, I wanted one of each. They also had several toasts on their menu. I'll have to go back for sure! Th service was regular, you order, they tell you how much you owe and you pay. I got in my car and couldn't wait. The ambiance of Vent is pretty interesting as one side of its warehouse inside is a cafe with bar, table and bench seating and the other is the roastery. I love to order my drink and then watch the roasters do their magic. Vent has a lot of merch, bags of coffee, canned cold brews, etc for sale in their small shop.
