We recently finished renovating our entire house with Simple Choice Construction, and looking back, choosing them was one of the best decisions we made. A project this big comes with a lot of decisions and unexpected challenges, but they handled everything really well. What stood out to us was how much they cared about getting things right, even the smaller details we probably wouldn't have noticed ourselves. Our house feels completely different now, and we genuinely love the result. Big thanks to everyone involved! read more

I contacted Simple Choice Construction after seeing their Instagram advertising. I already had a complete set of plans that were essentially ready to issue--over 1,600 pages including architectural, structural, engineering, and all construction details. Instead of reviewing the plans and providing a proposal, they repeatedly pushed to schedule phone calls and an on-site visit. In my situation, I felt those requests were unnecessary because all of the information needed to prepare an estimate had already been provided. Based on my experience, the communication was inefficient and did not give me confidence that the company was prepared to review a complete construction package professionally. I decided not to move forward and would not recommend them if you're looking for a contractor who can efficiently evaluate a fully developed set of plans. read more

**Update:** In hindsight, the whole experience felt extremely unprofessional. Communication with the coordinator was consistently all over the place, and we were uncomfortable with the way the workers were treated and spoken to. We later hired some of those same workers directly for our next remodel, without Simple Choice involved, and the experience was completely different--straightforward, professional, and trouble-free. In hindsight, the quality of the work was never really the issue. The problems we experienced came down to coordination, communication, and management. read more

We hired Simple Choice Construction for a full home remodel, and having Guy and Hanan manage the project made all the difference. They were incredibly organized, attentive, and always one step ahead. From the first walkthrough, both of them took the time to understand our vision and helped us shape it into a clear, realistic plan. Their communication throughout the remodel was steady and reassuring -- we always knew what was happening, what was coming next, and why certain steps were important. The remodel covered everything: new flooring, updated lighting, bathroom upgrades, layout changes, fresh finishes, and a full refresh of the living areas. The workmanship is exceptional. Every room feels cohesive and thoughtfully designed, and the quality is visible in every detail -- from the clean lines of the trim work to the way the new layout flows naturally from space to space. What stood out most was how smoothly the entire process ran. Renovations can easily become overwhelming, but Guy and Hanan kept everything on schedule, coordinated all the crews perfectly, and made sure the site stayed clean and organized. Their attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality result is exactly why Simple Choice Construction is considered the best construction company in Los Angeles. The house feels brand new, and we're genuinely thrilled with the outcome. read more

Simple Choice Construction is truly the best construction company in Los Angeles. We hired them for a full bathroom remodel, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team came prepared with thoughtful design ideas that made the space look bigger, brighter, and much more modern. They worked clean, stayed organized, and communicated clearly throughout the entire project. The craftsmanship is incredible -- the tile lines are perfect, the shower glass fits seamlessly, and the finishes look luxurious without the luxurious price tag. I have recommended him to so many family members and friends, I couldn't recommend him more!! I contacted simple choice construction a few months ago to get an estimate to redo My kitchen, the floor and to paint the first floor. The previous contractors that I contacted were a bit cheaper but what impressed me the most and why I ended up going with simple choice was the amount of knowledge and customer service that they provide. They asked all the right questions. They had plenty of examples for all the finished material and they really listened to my needs. I had a tile floor which was hideous and the whole kitchen was very outdated and kind of depressing. They helped me to think of a new layout that would complement the space and would fit my needs. The new floor that I got was for the whole house and it looks amazing. The paint was done quickly with no major mess around the house. I want to point out Guy and Peter that did everything in their power so this will be done quickly at the highest level. If you're looking for someone that is professional and that will actually listen to you and answer your needs, I would recommend giving them a chance. I have attached photos of my kitchen before and after so you can see for yourself. read more

NOT FAST! NOT CHEAP! NOT GOOD! A TRIPLE THREAT. What a disaster. Nearly 2 years after demolishing the entire kitchen and most of both bathrooms, . Paying rent somewhere else for weeks to leave the house available as requested but no worker shows up, Having to beg to get objectively unusable construction corrected and fending off the most inane excuses why I have to accept shoddy work, and forego minimal basic function because of made up "building codes", I finally refused to pay the final two installments until they finish the job, plug up the destructive leaks, make the installed appliances function as promised and install the finishing drywall and paint etc. . Instead they abandoned the job half finished , and put a lien on my house for the full amount . Lawsuit is imminent. You have been warned. read more

Simple Choice construction transformed our outdated kitchen into a beautiful and functional space! Hanan was highly skilled, communicative, and attentive to every detail. I contacted Simple Choice about a month ago to do some flooring in my house. They came with many samples and gave me some ideas and a few opinions. They were really professional and they sent me the estimate that same night. After shopping around with a few contractors I decided to go ahead with them because their estimate was the most specific one and had all the details in it. I LOVE my new floor!! Thanks Peter for such a great project. read more

My entryway was looking old fashioned and the gable needed a facelift. Peter and his team did it all, they issued the permits, helped me pick a door (that was not back ordered 4 months ahead!!) and finished the project in no time. They were quiet, tidy and professional. I already booked the next project with them and secured a $1,000 discount because it's my second project. Thanks. A simple choice it was. read more

We had a great experience with Simple Choice. From the start, Peter was very easy to work with. He came to give a consultation and provided us with the best options based on how we wanted the projects to go. The first project was to redo the front yard, removing all the existing bushes and adding 4 new citrus trees and 2 beautiful olive trees. Simple Choice proposed deigns and sourced gorgeous plants and trees that have held up very well over the past 2 very wet winters. We were very impressed with the first project so we contacted Peter to replace all the flooring in our house, including the staircase, and a full interior paint job. We also contracted them to build a screened-in porch for us. The flooring process was shockingly easy for us. Peter found us a great flooring option at a price lower than we could find it ourselves. The team did a great job with attention to detail and quicker than we could have imagined (3 weeks overall for the floors, paint, and staircase to be fully complete, but mostly done within 2 weeks despite bad weather). The screened-in porch is everything we wanted and more. Peter made the great suggestion to add a rolling screen panel that can open the porch to the outside when we want to make a transitional space between the porch and the yard. He listened to what I wanted in all the projects and was very respectful. Anything we had issues with (minor things here and there) would be addressed and fixed immediately. I would highly recommend working with Simple Choice! read more

I sent my plans over to see how much they wanted to charge $135000 for just labor to built adu I will not do business with them and I don't recommend them. They just waste your time on the phone and give you a very very high price read more

This was truly a Simple Choice! My wife and I wanted to remodel our guest bathroom and got quotes from several companies. Peter came by and provided a quote, and after talking to Peter and comparing what he was offering, we knew we found the company we wanted to work with. Anna dropped by periodically to check on progress of the project and to answer any questions we had. They started and ended the project on time, within budget, and to our liking. We LOVE our new bathroom - Simple Choice executed and completed the design we had in mind. Thank you, Peter and Anna! read more

We were forced to do a kitchen remodel because of a slab leak of a kitchen water pipe. So when getting estimates from various general contractors, the plumbing costs for a hot water cancel and a new hot water line were not included, but Simple Choice provided one-stop general contracting, for not only the hot water line cancel, new hot water line, but doing another cancel and new line for the main that also ran through the kitchen, to mitigate tearing the remodel down in case the main leaked. So now the kitchen remodel should be good despite any future slab leaks elsewhere. Simple Choice even did more than slab leak repair and repipe. They also removed an original home builder install of a custom sized sliding patio door that was so tall it was difficult to find parts. They replaced it was standard-sized patio doors and they replaced my faulty main garage door opener. Indeed, one-stop service, especially considering I got separate quotes from plumbers to do the pipe cancels, repipe, and drywall and stucco repair and those quotes were very comparable to the additional costs from Simple Choice. Yes, they also did what you expect for a kitchen remodel! New cabinets to the ceiling, quartz countertops, extending countertops, patch and paint, and even some new tile underneath the island. There is great value here!! The only thing is that you should be comfortable with costs that change from the initial estimate as Simple Choice does work fast, but is honest and fair in keeping costs competitive. All this work took just over 3 weeks, from demo to final walkthrough! read more

I live in Florida but I have an out-dated property in Los Angeles that I needed to renovate ASAP so I culd rent it tout!! Simple Choice LA helped design my kitchen from start to finish. Peter took charge of my project and killed it! I absolutely love the remodel and couldn't thank Peter enough for making this process so easy. I am so happy that I chose the right company for this specific project. He came equipped with his iPad and showed me different samples, colors and pictures from other jobs he had done. He also gave me a detailed explanation of how the process would go including prices and an average of how long it will take so that I can accommodate my needs and expectations. We had a complete kitchen remodel. We changed the flooring, the backsplash, all the countertops and cabinets. I couldn't be happier with the results and the before-and-after pictures were incredible. Peter was great! He very easy going to work with he was always available supervising and in charge of the workers. The installation process felt like as if they weren't in my house at all. All the workers were respectful trustworthy and on time! Overall it took them about two weeks to finish everything! So far I've been getting so many great compliments on the remodel! I would highly recommend this company. read more

I was looking for someone to help me with my back yard deck which was in awful shape. I had a few quotes with different prices and simple choice wasn't the cheapest BUT it was the most detailed one so I knew exactly what I'm getting without any surprises so it ended up having a lot more than the other quotes. I chose to go a head with them because they were decent enough to tell me that some of my ideas weren't realistic and that it would be a waste of my money.. I really appreciated that ! so after having a 3D design for my project we started with demolition and building the whole structure and I have to say that the team was there everyday always answering questions and helping out the workers so it was completed really fast. Thank you Peter and Anna for your deduction read more

I was looking desperately for someone to give me a quote to do a fence, a gate and a driveway, I just wasn't feeling safe in my neighborhood with all the current events. Peter and Anna came and were extremely professional, they took measurements and gave me the best quote of all the other contractors I met. First they did the concrete work and then they installed the metal itself. I also asked for the sides to be covered so we did that with an awesome material called Trex that looks like real wood but is more durable. I would recommend to anyone living in the Los Angeles area to start saving up some funds and get a fence and a gate! read more

The pictures of the "FULL BACK YARD REMODELING" with the black and white theme is my yard! Hopefully they will remove these photos asap, since I told them not to post any pictures of my backyard. Plus, we (my husband and I) ended up pulling out most of their work. We were extremely unhappy with the quality and we didn't feel safe in our own backyard. We hired them to do our backyard renovation April-Oct 2022. First of all, we learned that we couldn't believe a word anyone from Simple Choice or their subcontractors said. It was so bad that for the last few weeks of the contract, I would only feel comfortable communicating to them in writing. Also, during the remodeling, the project manager asked me for the deed to my house and for two blank checks written to the City of LA. It gets worse. I believe they had unlicensed people working on my gas and electricity. During the project, there were three gas leaks on the pipes they touched or added. We found electrical work not to code, that I believe was done after the electrical inspection. (See notes below for details and pictures.) The pavers they installed, well we felt like we were hiking on uneven ground. Some of the pavers I saw were graded to drain into my pool/spa, had what looked like cement stains to me, were laid slightly misaligned with or without uneven cuts, and had pools of sand at the corners. Also, the paver drains were installed at different depths. The pool pebble plaster, how they installed it, didn't match the glass/stone density per square inch that I selected. The picture they posted of my pool was not taken in full sun. In full sun, it looks a little greenish (not the looking I was going for). The new pool autofill's water overflow feature was not connected to anything. They tiled over my pool's existing overflow opening, buried under dirt and pavers some working backyard drains without capping shut or "duct taping off" the openings (yes there was duct tape), paved over one of my house's clean-out drains, and installed pool coping that could be removed by hand. When we looked at the finishings, we saw amateurish and sloppy work. For example, they stucco'ed my sprinkler controller timer into the wall, built a circular fire pit that was still irregularly shaped (they tried to fix it) with a small drainage hole (no vent) for rain water to ooze out, stucco'ed a wall somewhat flat (some areas were slightly concave), left goop on my new fence post, etc. For almost six months we felt like we lived in a pigsty. Notes- Electrical The electrician's review found, 1. A "double tapped" breaker where they connected the pool's electrical box to my house's main electrical box with the wrong lower gauge wire. There was space for a new breaker. The electrician said this can be hazardous, 2. Destroyed waterproofing in wet rated electrical outlet boxes by drilling holes in them (per the electrician this is illegal). No permanent waterproofing was discovered around the drilled holes, 3. An electrical outlet (we didn't ask for) was still too close to the bottom of a built-in BBQ, even after they moved it down per my request, 4. An outlet box with a hole in the back (this destroys the box's fire containment purpose) 5. Unglued underground electrical conduit to the pergola they built and wired for us. Water had already seeped into one of the conduits. Pavers When we removed the pavers they installed, we saw 1. The paver's crushed stone base layer was only 1/2" deep in many places. My new paver installation and the one done at my previous house both had 4" stone base layer. 2. There was no reinforcement on the free-standing paver edges, and 3. They used lots and lots of non-bedding sand for the bedding sand layer. We sprayed down some of their pavers to check how the water drains and the paver sand pooled up from between and maybe also beneath the pavers. We saw lots of sand easily washed away. Firepit We removed the firepit they built and found a rusted pipe connector in its center. We didn't trust anything connected to a gas line they laid from scratch. Other 1. At the beginning of my project, I had a sink in my outside kitchen with piped water, at the end no piped water. 2. When they added power to a stand-a-lone pergola they installed, my sprinkler controller lost power 3. They installed the pool coping twice and it was still not flushed when looking at it from standing in the pool. 4. They did things like seal the access to the outside kitchen sink's plumbing, only to open it up again. 5. They ripped out my sprinkler's low voltage wiring at the beginning of the project and it took several months during the hot summer for them to almost fix it to the project starting point. 6. Their workers would routinely toss their lunch trash all over our property. 7. Construction debris was not quickly removed and was left for months. etc. Our property felt like a pig's sty for almost 6 months. read more

I really liked working with Simple Choice LA contractors because they gave me a lot of options for my bathroom remodeling. I got their number from another friend of mine who lives in Florida but has a home in California and that was the best decision ever! They were open-minded and always thought out of the box on how to make a double sink in a small space without damaging the beauty and esthetics. If one of the options they gave me didn't work out or we didn't like they would think of another way to handle the project. As I'm sure you can imagine, whenever you are dealing with a huge remodeling project there are many decisions to make. I really liked the way they handled themselves and the service they gave us. Sometimes on a big remodeling project like this the decisions become overwhelming so I'm glad we had bright individuals who were able to help us through our remodeling project.. Anna and Peter you rock! Thank you for being able to be patient with us and our crazy ideas.. we will value your business forever and will recommend you to anyone we know! read more
