    BookLink - Christmas themed ornament/candle

I stopped by Booklink to grab a book for my flights, I ended up buying Christmas decorations. Yes,…read moreI know I was surprised too! Booklink is a pricey bookstore/gift shop located at Boston-Logan Airport. Although, it is pricey, it has a good book selection and a surprisingly well stocked gift shop with lots of great items. During my recent shop there, I saw large christmas table ornaments, that was really a candle. Neat! I also found some beautiful Christmas themed hand towels. One hand towel has a picture of a cardinal on it, the other a blue jay. This was perfect as one of my themes in my Christmas decor is birds and the two just happen to be cardinals and blue jays. I ended up getting one of those ornaments and the hand towels, pricey but definitely worth it! Check out Book Link, if you find yourself inside Boston-Logan airport!

This is a gem of a bookstore in Boston Logan International Airport. I was seriously impressed with…read morethe selection and had to restrain myself from grabbing a bunch of books that I had on my to-read list on Goodreads. The store is small but the choices are vast, considering where you find this bookstore. If you are fiending for something good to read while waiting at the gate or during your flight, you will have an awesome chance of finding it at BookLink. I was impressed by the number of classic books that were in stock, as well as the bestsellers and contemporary fiction that I found on the shelves. I was looking for some stuff from Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, and some non-fiction economic development books (the wanna-be economist in me won't die yet) and found most of them. I won't go 5 stars on this place, because while it is impressive for an airport bookstore, there are some absolutely breathtaking bookstores out there in the world that are more deserving. Plus, you can only imagine what the prices were. You pay list price for most of the books, which I guess is better than getting gouged for subpar food at $$$ prices. The catch is that while you won't get any discounts, you may find that book you've been dying to read and the entertainment and literary value most likely exceed the savings you could have enjoyed had you purchased from B&N or Amazon. For non-bookworms, you will find other airport necessities here, such as newspapers, magazines, candy, gum, bottled drinks, and probably Advil and the like. Basically, all the things I'd need to camp out should I ever get stuck in the airport. The books would be the best part for me.

When at the airport, it's great to have convenient shops to purchase items needed for the flight or…read morejust something to bring back a loved one. Maybe this particular employee was having a difficult day, but from my observation it seemed just being a little lazy. This location lacked customer service. The girl in front of me was purchasing an item and worked at the airport. I witnessed the worker not give a discount cause her " register was closed". I think whether or not the discount is small the employee is entitled to get it. For me, I asked a simple question if they had an item in stock ( coconut water) The employee said no, and I found it myself. It's just disappointing to see someone represent the store that doesn't care.

My daughter was harassed by the man who works here while traveling from Massachusetts back home to…read moreCalifornia. He caused her extreme anxiety and made her very uncomfortable. She went in and asked about a charger which had no price on it. His response to her was "how much do you want it to be?" She found a half off rack, again with no marked price. She asked again how much this charger was, and he responded she did not want that because it was broken. He continued with personal questions, "are you alone?" "Who are you visiting?" He asked her how old she was and when she responded 17, she thought he would back off. He kept on with nosy and inappropriate questions in addition to creepily staring her up and down. He continued to try to play a game of cat and mouse with her in regards to the charger and finally she just grabbed one and went to pay at the self-checkout. The man walked over, took the charger out of her hand and proceeded to scan it himself... (An attempt to be closer to her.) She hurriedly paid and she left. She immediately called her father and while she was telling him what happened she turned around to see that he was right behind her and had closed the store by pulling the gate down. Her dad and I instructed her to go straight to an employee in the airport and let them know. By this time she was terrified. They got the police involved and we were told that the man would be spoken to, but he had left when he heard My daughter talking to her dad. On top of all of this the $40 charger that she bought did not work. She saved the receipt and the box along with the charger and I have written to corporate bringing their attention to the type of people they have employed and requesting a refund. I have yet to get a response to two emails that I have sent already. I don't care how convenient the store is, whoever they have working there seems to be dangerous. I'm sure that this is not the first or the last time this will happen. Just a warning for any single women or younger people traveling. The one star is only because there is no option for zero stars. Disgusting behavior not to mention selling broken items.
