Taking a chance, I called the Chestnut Hill location and talked to Joe, who was filling in at the location. Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. I believe this is the new location of Vibram after the Newbury location closed. They have a wall of…read moresoles and many different five finger shoes, boots and sneakers with the Vibram sole. They have events such as at 6pm on Tuesday they have a run then drinks after, and Thursday they have a speaker come in. You can just your shoes "re-soled" by adding a new Vibram sole with a machine they have. The staff there was friendly and they immediately greeted me. I didn't ask for prices but was an awesome place I would recommend checking out if you're in the BU west location. I will make another update once I try their events and update upon their prices. You can easily get to here via the green line to Boston College and get off at the BU West stop then it's a two minute walk.

The fakest custom tailor of all time…read more These guys take your measurements then send them to china. What you get back is a suit cut like a burlap sack and WAY off on every measurement. They then start to hack away at that to try and make it fit you. The single worst suit purchase I've ever made and it was unfortunately for my wedding day. Suit is awful quality material and threads constantly coming out of it. The local laundromat commented that no matter what they do it just bleeds threads and seems to be very cheap fabric. Basically you will spend thousands for the equivalent of a poor fitting indochino suit.

But, it was also important to him that we were making suits that were custom to our individual tastes and personalities. He helped us figure out which colors would work together while still fitting our budget. Alex and his coworkers were genuinely excited each time we came in for a fitting. You can tell they take pride in their work and that they strive to make something that is special and perfect for you. Fair enough, except that they should get their dates correct or else take responsibility! Also, they have accepted items from me and then inexplicably tossed them, without telling me. They charge $5 per month for their consignor access website, and it is very hard to opt out (I had to opt out every time I consigned and sometimes press them to reverse the charge after it had been applied anyway). Also, I noticed that the payout amount is often less than what was on their label. I don't think they want you to see the labels but I went in the store to take a look and it was higher than what they marked on my printout. Not recommended for consigning.
