Go see Sergio- he is the epitome of Simon's! He was very helpful with a quick sense of humor to boot. Made our experience enjoyable.

Hello? Can I get some help here? Both times I walked by this place, I actually browsed for over twenty minutes. I have been planning a remodeling project on my bathroom for a couple weeks now. Luckily a friend recommended me to the Design Gallery on Lexington, or else I would have been waiting for someone to call me back or help me from this place. There were more than three staff members on the sales floor, I walked around at least three times. No one even acknowledged me or let me know that they would be helping me soon? read more

Why would anyone give this business their money? Most unprofessional service, rushing me though there was NO ONE else in the store! Taking private calls in front of my face. Would have easily dropped a few hundred bucks here today, will never come back. What a stinky store! Have no idea why they don't want to make $$$. Going to order everything online. And people wonder why brick and mortar goes out of business . . . read more

A great place to get inspired for your bathroom... The perfectionist in me took 6 months to find the perfect sink for my 1/2 bathroom a few years ago, but I found it at Simon's. (I still get compliments on it!) When I recently decided to renovate my full bathroom, Simon's was my first choice... but the lack of service turned me off. I walked in several times and asked several salespeople for help (who were just sitting at their desks) and they still wouldn't help me. When someone finally helped me, I was astonished to find out they charge $300 to deliver a basic $500 tub to which I promptly responded, "You're out of your mind!" Not sure if this salesperson gave me the correct info, but that sure wasn't a way to snag a sale. read more

So walking into Simon's can be overwhelming as their large and beautiful shop houses an extraordinary inventory of hardware. I was helped by Sergio who was patient and lovely and knowledgable about his products and he called manufactures for me. I will be placing an order with Simons soon and will review after this process is complete. read more

I rarely write bad reviews, but my recent experience at Simon's was one of my worst shopping experiences ever. Epic fail. I stopped into the store to buy a (pricey) towel rack. I already knew which one I wanted so it was an easy sale. The woman at the desk in back was busy so she told me to go seek help from the gentleman sitting at the desk in front. I showed him the exact towel rack I wanted. He wrote up the order and said I'd get it within a few days. I did, but it was the wrong model. I emailed him and he sent me a UPS return label. A couple of days later, the second towel rack arrived. WRONG ONE AGAIN. This time it was the correct model, but in the wrong finish. How hard is it to order the correct one? It's not rocket science! I emailed and called my salesperson for a few days with no response. Finally, I called his cellphone and he answered. I returned the SECOND wrong towel rack and tracking shows it was delivered to Simon's 10 days ago. Still no credit on my credit card. I will have to challenge the charge with my bank. I found the towel rack elsewhere, for a lower price, and I will NEVER shop at Simon's again. read more

Great selection of fixtures. Sergio was very helpful and helped me place my order ASAP.

Great store! Sergio took care of us and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will be coming back.

Great selection of in stock items and quick turn around time on most special order items. Doug is a great sales person and reflects that attitude with his customers. read more

I've spent a lot of money at this store and will go back. It's the place to go for bath fixtures and any kind of door hardware. It's not cheap but it's worth it. The bath department staff is friendly and helpful when they aren't overwhelmed but the hinge/pull department could use some attitude training. Their deliveries are a nightmare, which is why I'm only giving them 3 stars. It will never arrive on-time and it will be the wrong thing when it does. read more

the good part of the review is dealing with the owner "alison" a wonderful woman and helpful while i did two of my nyc bathrooms. i am only sorry for her, she was amazing. the fact that it got to her attention, an awful , awful , horrible place to shop! i spent close to 20,000 dollars there, and could not get sales help, most items came in wrong, no follow up when problems were handled .. i will never shop there again and advise anyone i know not to even try... the kicker is they had prices above the competition in every category until alison got involved! read more

Everyone writes reviews when things go wrong here I want to write a review when things went very very well. I ordered a toilet and toilet seat as well as other plumbing supplies from AF New York when doing my renovation. After my renovation my toilet seat cracked and so I had to order a replacement seat. true to form AF New York was completely unresponsive and unhelpful so I had to go directly to the manufacture of the toilet seat and they told me to reach out to several New York vendors to acquire a new one. I reached out to several and Simons was by far the best. Natalie assisted me over the course of several weeks and finding a new toilet seat and she corresponded with me promptly and in every instance I'm really happy with the product but moreso happy with the service. I'll certainly be coming back to them for all of my plumbing needs in the future. read more

I went to the store wanting to buy 2 closet door knobs. What I thought would be a very simple process turned out to be a disaster. When I walked into the store there were around 5 employees either on their computers or on their headset phones. After waiting for around 5 minutes I asked if someone could help me. A gentlemen, very pretentious I must say, said yes he would assist me and asked which knobs I was interested in. When I showed him he said all the knobs on the panel that I was looking at were not in stock. When I asked how did I know what was in stock he pointed to some and said he would need to check the computer. In addition, there were no prices listed as is required by NYC law. I left this store in disgust. I wound up purchasing knobs on Amazon. read more

I looked all over town for cabinet door knobs before I finally found them here! Phil at the service counter was very helpful and the price was fair for a high quality product. This place is definitely worth checking out for kitchen & bathroom hardware and accessories. read more

I've had such a great experience at Simon's and bummed that I purchased my first lot of hardware from another vendor. Allison, Jose and Sergio have been so helpful and really know hardware. What a great team and always willing to go above and beyond! Wish I met them sooner as I would have saved myself countless hours of searching for the wrong products! A++ read more

Thanks to the focused, professional help I received from Olivia and Sergio I was able to get exactly what I needed on time. They went out of their way to work with me. Their interest in the Simon's merchandise and customer service is over the top. read more

I stopped in here today to try and get a small custom piece of stone cut/ordered for our bar in our home. It wasn't something they typically do, but Bella was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me. She helped me try to match the exact stone one of her vendor's sites, then contacted them directly to see if they had any remnants stone pieces available and put me in touch directly with one of her vendors nearby in Manhattan. Thanks again for all of your help Bella! I would recommend Simon's Hardware & Bath to anyone looking for custom hardware & bath. read more

The most frustrating order I have ever placed over $6,000. Amateur hour. Imagine placing an order for locksets and handles and spending months to sort it out after repeated phone calls and on site consultations. Incomplete sets, malfunctioning or ill-fitting. Disorganized. Lots and lots of promises and apologies. But very little execution in competence. I will never EVER spend money there again. read more

I am a designer & despite the fact they have lots to choose from I refuse to ever shop there again. On 4 different occasions, I have gone to them to get hardware. They do not acknowledge you when you come in, are reluctant to get out of their seats to help, & do not respond to emails and phone calls. After getting blown off the 4th time by a jerk named Ishmael I wrote him this "What happened? This level of customer service is ridiculous. I have been waiting nearly a month for you to get me anything, pricing, samples etc.. Nothing. Thanks" to which he didn't respond AGAIN. So Ishmael, now what? Go there, write down the brand & item number & google it for better prices or deal directly with the manufacturer. Not only do they have horrible service, but they are expensive too. There are MANY better, designer showrooms who actually care about making customers happy & making a profit w/o behaving like divas! read more

I dealt with Sergio. I had no idea what I needed. He was honest and helpful. Easy to talk to and had a great overall attitude. He told me he would call me back with answers and called me back within 5 minutes. In a world where customer service is what sets most companies apart, Sergio propelled his company to the top with his service. I will go to pick up my order next week and if it's as easy as it was ordering it, Simon's Hardware and Bath will have a customer for life. THANKS SERGIO!!! read more

Every style of knob, pull, decor-related hardware you could imagine. Great for interior designers, wannabe decorators or just for inspiration. The sfatt is very helpful and knowledgable. I'll bet you never dreamed your drawers could be this well dressed! read more

My wife and I went here to pick out new knobs for our kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity. They had a great selection (including some high end ones well outside of our price range, as well as some more affordable options). They also had helpful staff. The place was pretty crowded on weekends but we were always able to work with someone. Pricing was very competitive - they were willing to negotiate on price and matched online stores. read more

I decided to pay a visit to family-run Simon's after having frustrating experiences at Manhattan's other bath showrooms. I'm certainly glad I did! From design to delivery, I had a fantastic experience, with Erica M. at the center of it all. Erica was extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive to all of my questions. She has a great sense of design and was able to balance my mid-range budget with my high-range design sensibility. I highly recommend Erica if you want quality and service. read more

The sales people are terrible. Dealt with Ishmael and Derek -- both useless. Screwed up order, they never bothered to return phone calls. Was in that store 3 separate times. 2 month saga with these people -- and in the end not 1 single apology. read more

Helpful staff. Sometimes slow on ordering special order items which is understandable. Always helpful lock department. Large selection. Thank you! read more

I agree with many of the other reviews--the service here is abysmal. The guys sit there pretending to be doing something on their computers and don't even acknowledge your presence. No "Can I help you?" or "I'll be with you in a minute"...NOTHING. I stood right next to one of these guys for about 5 minutes and he didn't even have the decency to acknowledge me or ask if I needed help. It was obvious that I was waiting for someone to help me. How can this store stay in business? Hands-down some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

The employees at this place drive me crazy with their bad customer service. Blueman and Everready are better. Or just find their crap on the net and buy it cheaper. read more

I had a wonderful shopping experience with death was both knowledgeable and helpful the nice gentleman who greeted me even charge my phone

Yes, they have a lot of lovely hardware. But I have never been treated so rudely by a sales person. Bored, condescending, and unhelpful. I went in for a few replacement handles, but I need nearly 50 more for my kitchen renovation. I sure won't be buying them at Simon's. read more

I've purchased from Simon's in the past, and while their prices are not great, a professional discount, selection and service made it worth while. A recent experience has nudged me to look for a new "go to" vendor. I ordered a unique replacement glass shelf for a Duravit cabinet for a client. After waiting over three months I left a message asking where my item was. No response, but "miraculously" I got a notice saying the item was in a few days laterlater. I arrive to collect my item and am handed a flat glass shelf that I could picked up at a glass store for $20, (which is what I suspect they did since it did not come in any kind of Duravit packaging.) While I trust I will be refunded in the end, and I know it can be difficult dealing with european vendors like Duravit, unreturned calls and emails, and general foot dragging is unacceptable. read more

Truly atrocious service. My wife and I live in the neighborhood and stopped in twice yesterday hoping to buy fixtures for our house. First time we were ignored for 15 minutes by all sales personnel. We figured that might be an anomaly. Wrong! Second time -- I actually asked for help and was curtly rebuffed. Astounding level of incompetence and incomprehension. Despite the vast selection we decided we'd buy elsewhere. Per an earlier review, will try Blueman hardware on the Bowery. How do these jerks stay in business? read more

The most helpful hardware/bathroom supply store I've found in NYC. After searching NYC and Brooklyn for a broken european medicine cabinet hinge for a couple months and at least 8 hardware stores later, someone at Home Depot suggested we try Simon's. We went in to Simon's and asked the first representative we saw for help. One minute later after showing him my broken hinge, he typed a bunch of information into his database and found the replacement in the system. He printed off my receipt (super cheap i must add) and then a second later the hinges magically appeared in some dumbwaiter that he called up from the basement. They were super friendly and if I had just gone to them in the first place, I could have saved myself hours of searching. Don't be intimidated by the nice decor and expensive toilets in the entrance, they actually have individual hinges, knobs, and everything you might need for your bathroom. read more

Somehow in the process of negotiating with our contractor it became our responsibility to buy all the door hardware. I found the showroom to be a bit overwhelming, but sales person listened to my wants and needs and narrowed things down nicely. I was very satisfied with my experience. When there was a hiccup in the order said salesperson was not as helpful, however, management stepped in and made the whole thing right. In the end, I received the service I would expect from a company like this. Yes, I could have gotten the same product online but not the personalized attention not someone standing behind the order. read more

Take your business elsewhere. After about six weeks, four of them due to Simon's employees dropping the ball, the part I had custom ordered turned out to be *kinda* like the one I needed (and sent them a picture of). Totally unacceptable! read more

I needed some decorative tile for my bathroom renovation. Simon's has a nice selection of tile. If you need tile i highly recommend her! read more

Great selection. More expensive than internet prices but worth it if you want a knowledgable sales person to help with your selections. I purchased two vanities, shower trim, medicine cabinets, mirrors, and shower glass doors. Yes, the sales people are busy and can be hard to reach but for me, I still preferred working with one dedicated salesperson rather than a general 1-800 phone number. One of our sinks arrived broken and the delivery guy took it back with him. After a frustrating few weeks my issue was finally escalated and Jamie, the store manager, was extremely helpful and made sure my money was immediately refunded. read more

After searching on line and in quite a few stores for 'bathroom accessories' for my bathroom renovation (towel bars, hooks, etc) a neighbor told me about Simon's. Excellent selection and Jenna was a huge help in assisting me in making decisions. The few items that were not in stock were special ordered and arrived quickly. Great store! read more
