So nice and helpful!!!! The staff was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and fast. Great experience from start to finish!

Daniel was amazing! We went in to get a few items, and he helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We asked about the products, and he provided detailed information about the materials along with helpful suggestions. All of his tips were clear and made it easy for us to decide what to get. Once we had made our decision, he walked us through everything, and the process was incredibly smooth. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was also polite, efficient, helpful, and not pushy at all. Exceptional service--something that's rare in the city. He is definitely one of a kind! I hope he gets promoted soon! read more

Great service, excellent selection, and surprise, surprise.... Discounted prices. They have a huge selection that you can touch and feel, as well as others that they can show you online. read more

Pros- Nice staff and selection Cons - Will not help you solve anything if you have a problem I spent mid-5 figures on a renovation for my small bathroom. All my plumbing materials were purchased from Simons. The shower plumbing (diverter and temperature control) does not work properly. My shower temperature is scalding at its lowest temps and my water flow is weak at best. The manufacturer was difficult to work with to get any corrections. Simons served as an intermediary to communicate but refused to take any responsibility for selling an inferior product. They would not come to my home (4 blocks from the showroom) to assess the problems nor would they advocate for getting the manufacturer's rep to come to me. I was told by the sales person that based on my experience, they may stop selling this line. How does that solve my problem? At a minimum, I believe that Simons should have assessed the issue and offered to replace the defective parts with those of another manufacturer's parts with a credit. I got nothing but 'sorry' and excuses. read more

Simon's sold me a new kitchen faucet in 2023 but sent me home with a 2013 model. (an old model from 10 years earlier) I only found out after a year of malfunctions and leaks. To make matters worse, they tried to talk and weasel their way out of it. Most untrustworthy shop and management with a complete lack of integrity. Shop elsewhere. read more

Terrible return policy We spent thousands of dollars through our architect with this business. We located an excess unused piece of hardware (still in box, in shrink-wrap, pristine condition) and sought to return it. Simon's refused to accept it, whether for cash or credit. The value of this item was probably less than 1-2% of what we had spent in total, and it was in perfect re-sellable condition. I strongly recommend against using this business. read more

I went to this store twice in two days. Even if the store is empty they offer you NO assistance. If you ask a question they can't be bothered to get up and help you. For the quality of fixtures they sell the level of service is worse than Home Depot. You couldn't pay me to purchase one item from here. And I'm building an entire house in need of fixtures. Go elsewhere! read more

Great selection and Daniel was very helpful and knowledgeable. Good selection of bath, kitchen and hardware. A neighborhood institution.

Run away from this place and save yourself the pain of getting broken items and no replacement. The customer service manager Jeany is the worst I have ever dealt with. We ordered two toilets and one of them arrived broken. Their customer service manager Jeany decided that they would take absolutely no responsibility for that. Best of luck if you still decide to shop here. read more

Simon's Hardware & Bath - An expensive toilet arrived broken. - Hardware Stores Near Me - New York, New York

Great selection. Shiv has been very attentive to my multiple needs. I highly recommend them.

The showroom is excellent, however customer service on the backend wasn't great. I reached out to the associate who assisted me in the showroom to build a relationship, however that never developed. As a person who's in sales, interiors / architecture, this is basic 101. Would highly advise visiting this showroom, and perhaps ordering somewhere else or with another attentive associate. read more

I renovated my bathroom with the expert advice of Shiv Persaud. He's a wealth of knowledge! There are many tasteful options on display and I recommend everyone to check them out. read more

We did a major renovation (almost gut), bought everything from Simon's. If someone hasn't had a hiccup in a gut reno they're lying... Shiv at Simon's saw us through, we're at 90%... Highly recommend them. read more

Horrible customer service, avoid this place at all costs! We waited and waited and waited and waited and they completely ignored us, this lame ass establishment takes pride in dissing its customers stay away and go somewhere else, trust me! read more

Highly knowledgeable in the vast lines of products they carry. And they sure carry a huge selection.

Jason and Doug saved our kitchen! We have German Rationale brand kitchen installed 20 years ago. One of the drawer brackets broke and we have been looking for the part everywhere in the Us and we even wrote Germany to see where and how we can get the part. My husband went to Simon's Hardware. Jason and Doug took extra time and effort to find the precisely right parts to save our kitchen drawers. They even discovered the part number which we could not see before and drew upon Simon's network of stores to get us these very hard to find parts and overnighted them to our house. They are quite inexpensive parts so their going out of their way to accommodate us was very valuable. Anything we need going forward we will from them. read more

The selection is almost overwhelming its so large. If you dont find something you love then there's something wrong with you not them hah!

This store deserves 10 stars, simply because of the knowledge and customer service from Wayne Straz. He has stuck with me through numerous kitchen plan changes, patient and willing to go from start to finish on my project. He is kind and patient and had information and options about things I was not informed of elsewhere. In the end his prices were fair and competitive, and he was ethical across the board. I do believe he will stand behind his products in case of a future issue, and will be there to help if you have any questions. I couldn't recommend more highly! read more

While the salesperson at Simons 3rd Ave found me the company and photos of two styles, I was unable to see samples of the finishes. ONLY when I thought to call back, did someone else direct to me Simons Soho after calling and checking that what I was looking for was on display. BUT after the trip there, they, in fact, did NOT have anything for me on display. The person in Soho did eventually call a store on Bond Street newly acquired by the Simons company and off across town I went. (It was the place I originally wanted to go to but I thought they'd closed since the phone was not in service.) Yes! I could see different finishes. The salesman, Daniel, was wonderful and I might do more with him as my guide (;tho he'll be at the Soho store). read more

As a contractor here in NYC, I rely on Simon's for all our plumbing fixture and hardware needs. Our salesperson, Nadine, consistently goes above and beyond. Love working with this vendor. read more

Great. Loved the store, loved the people who were most helpful indeed. Turns out I hadn't ordered enough of what we wanted, called them up and it was all sorted out within minutes. I love this store and all they have to offer, never been in a place with so much choice before, and really appreciated their fine work. read more

Worst customer service ever. Show the most expensive stuff first, you have to ask to see middle price items. Never mention the restocking fee. Sent me a chipped and scuffed up toilet tank. Will take days to to replace. Don't recommend. read more

Stopped in as I was looking for high quality switchplates. Nothing better than Home Depot here. However, they did carry the level of service you get from Home Depot, with an addition of condescension. Grew up two blocks away- I wrongly thought this was a family store. read more

I have never been treated so poorly. I ordered several Emtek items through the Hamptons store. There were items that were ordered incorrectly. For over 3 weeks, I have tried calling the store to speak to my salesperson or anyone for that matter. No one picks up the phone, I have left voicemail and emails and nobody calls me back. I called the NY store to see if they could Help. They promise to reach the Hamptons store and call me back and then I never hear from anyone. I am So upset and don't know what to do at this point. The Hamptons store is very far away from my house - I really can't drive there. read more

Lost a sale to Amazon. Was in the store for over thirty minutes and could not get a single sales associate's attention. Not even a "we will be with you in a moment." Find time for your customers. read more

The selection is great. For a so called high end shop The employees need an etiquette class. I didn't even get a hello. Weren't busy at all. Rude obnoxious and pretty immature I'd say. As I walked away I over heard the lady sitting in the middle of the bath showroom bad mouthing a client. They just lost a good 60, 000 + sale. I don't think they understand the concept of white glove customer service. Shame on you. read more

The employees are rude, unhelpful and lack knowledge. One star because they have nice selection. Overpriced. Go there to get ideas and then buy it online. It will be cheaper and a better experience. read more

Over all, very challenging & time consuming to shop here. The selection is nice but then when it comes to finding the price and ordering it requires a lot of patience. I feel that if I need help or have a question I am annoying the sales person. I received dismissive answers like "I don't know," "not sure where that it is," "we don't have that one" (then I found it a minute later). read more

Its amazing how they fit all types and styles of any worldwide selection of residential or commercial Locks. Simon's has an excellent selection of bath and hardware products. I went in to find furniture feet for a piece I purchased with ugly feet that I wanted to replace. I worked with Jose who was extremely helpful in suggesting products and aiding me in figuring out whether the products would really work with my furniture piece. I think Simon's really deserves five stars after watching how they handled the process when my order came in incorrectly. I was sent round feet instead of square feet. I called around 8 PM, after they had closed, and left a message reporting the mistake. I received a call back early the next morning with an apology for the mistake and a promise to order me the right product with expedited shipping. The whole matter was sorted by noon that day. Things go wrong and the mark of a good service business is handling them in the right way. Jose and the team at Simon's did a great job and they will certainly be getting my business in the future. read more

An incredible selection of mortise locks and hardware, Simon's is the kind of place that make me wish I could buy a dozen fixer-uppers. The employees were efficient and courteous, something I appreciate after having visited too many big-box hardware stores. read more

Unlike other reviewers, I came at time when the store wasn't crowded and was able to talk with two sales agents. I wish I'd never met either of them. Besides being condescending, unhelpful, and generally uninterested, one sales guy came just short of yelling at me for asking a question about finding a lock under $500. Not only that, but he gave me the wrong information about a product, assuring me (with his 15 years of "experience") that it didn't come in the size I needed. He showed me the catalog to prove his point, but the catalog didn't have any info on sizing, so he snarled that I could call the company if I didn't trust him... best idea he had. I called the company after I left and, sure enough, they DO care the size I need. Won't be back to Simon's anytime soon. And I recommend anyone reading this to look elsewhere. read more

There is a reason this store has so many consistently negative reviews stretching back a decade... It is a hot mess! The customer service equivalent of a dumpster fire. Go to Simon's if you want to waste a good hour of your life wandering aimlessly around a showroom while being ignored by ditzy sales people who blab endlessly on their cell phone about their personal business instead of tending to customers. The place doesn't keep product stock on the sales floor (just display models) so you cannot self-shop and must rely on a sales person's help. However, you'll die of old age before any employee even looks in your direction or offers assistance. Yes, the place has a large selection, and yes, it's pretty. So what? At the end of day it's a hardware store full of overpriced door knobs. You know where else has great selection? Amazon.com. The man that helped (and I use that term loosely) me today was texting on his phone while I was asking him questions. He also talked negatively with his female coworker about a customer that was on the phone. Meanwhile two other associates sat behind their computers, never budged, and one was singing loudly to himself. It was the tackiest, most delusional group of unprofessional BMCC dropouts I have ever seen working in a retail store. Oh, and I also love how someone named Henry J. selectively responds to some of these Yelp reviews, but clearly NOTHING has changed at that place. Spare yourself the reply to this one Henry. I'm on my way to Home Depot and will not be back. If you want my advice, fire your entire staff and start fresh. They are an utter embarrassment to your business. After spending an hour in Simon's I was ready to call my psychiatrist and double by dosage of anti depressants. It also took all the strength I had not to b**** slap my company's GC for recommending I go there in the first place. Lesson learned. read more

My partner and I ordered Custom Made Furniture for our bedroom from Furniture Design by Knossos and they highly recommended the hardware for all the drawers and door cabinet pulls from Simon's. It was there we were introduced to Olivia Lombardi, Decorative Hardware Specialist who made the most excellent recommendations to use lucite and black handles of various sizes to give our bedroom furniture a more custom and spectacular look. She made our selection easy and was patient with our questions and feedback. She placed our order and all arrived promptly and in perfect condition. When we returned to order additional drawer pulls, Olivia continued to give us superior customer service . She also wanted to hear feedback from us regarding our experience. We don't usually give reviews but Olivia and Simon's were both 5 Star review worthy. read more

Quite simply the store is well stocked and reasonably priced. The level of service in my experience (I'm a designer) is excellent. Whoever compared it to Home Depot in terms of merchandise is an idiot. And the service they've maintained during Covid is very impressive. We will be poorer when stores like this are beaten to death by crappy Lowes, Walmart and Amazon competition. read more

I went to Simon's bright and early to purchase cabinet hardware-- plans were in hand, ideas were in mind, checkbook was ready. I was directed to Daniel who was on the telephone (clearly with a friend), chatting about his seasonal allergies and waited a good fifteen minutes as he went on and on, ignoring me. He eventually told me to look around (he seemed annoyed!) and see what I liked--then said he was going out for breakfast and would be back soon. So I walked a few blocks to Hafele on 26 St. Their selection is even better, the sales people are pleasant and helpful and I'll never return to Simon's again. read more

Simon's is a great resource and has a lot to offer. Getting service is difficult and I believe they engage in too much multi tasking resulting in error. Be sure to do all of your own follow through. As a customer, I resent a salesperson taking phone calls and servicing the phone call while I am trying to get my purchase completed. I knew exactly what I wanted, found my previous order was never finalized as the email with the cc authorization was never seen. I endured at least 6-8 phone calls while rectifying that situation and placing another order. read more

Go see Sergio- he is the epitome of Simon's! He was very helpful with a quick sense of humor to boot. Made our experience enjoyable.

Went to Simons to order a grill for a built in that covers my air/radiator....they wanted to charge me $750 per grill with a lead time of 4-6 weeks! I went home, got online and found the same exact grill for $125 and got it delivered in 3 days direct to my door. Simon's is overpriced and are really taking advantage of people. read more
