A much better experience than before. The front desk was very helpful, polite and courteous. They have a sign on the front door for which exam you need and have another office upstairs for other exam, so please read the sign. They were fast and quick, unlike the anthem simonmed which is never on time. 180 degree difference and I would drive the 30 min extra to go here read more

And today I call to verify my appointment for the second test and the Appt is nowhere to be found. It was made over a week ago. So now there is a delay all around and I have to drive 50 minutes to an alternate facility to have it done before year end. Is this how they treat their patients with life threatening issues? Worst location. Poorly managed. Came 15 minutes early. Made myself and my daughter wait 30 minutes past our appointment to take other people that came after us. Explained because thier appointment would take a shorter time. PS you work here. You have to be here the whole time. Why am I being punished for being on time. Jade was nice, helpful and professional. She took care of everyone else's problems with grace. Other front desk=unprofessional. Two came over to ask for Jade to ask her to finish the jobs they weren't able to do on their own. They were talking about patients in front of me using patient full names personal medical info (totally a HIPPA violation). Now let's start with the fact that I waited 70 minutes online to make this appointment, was sent to the wrong location (twice) and when I did get here, I was told that my appointment was in the system, but scheduled incorrectly so that I could not actually be seen. They don't even do the medical test we need on this day!! We waited another 20 minutes (Total wait times in office today without being seen=45 minutes) and now we have to go to a location 30 minutes away in 2 days to do the test we need. I also want to say it is not a routine exam, this is an emergency diagnostic. The waiting room was INSANELY packed. People were so frustrated. The manager is a disaster it would appear. read more

Sadly, you can not give this location less than 1 star because they don't deserve even 1. They check you in and even with an appointment they do not have enough common courtesy to tell you they are running over an hour behind! The lobby is packed and lots of angry patients some told it's first come first serve for their test waiting 2+ hours. This is the 2nd time in a month I have had to come here. Several weeks ago, just as I was walking out my door, they called to cancel my appt and was rescheduled but I still have to wait over an hour for that test as well. This place is poorly managed. While I understand staffing shortages, they need to schedule less people and be transparent upon check-in. read more

My poor wife has had to deal with this BS. Worst imaging center I have ever seen, (If I could use explanative on how frustrating this ridiculous location is I would, but I think the public needs to know this), I wish there was a minus star button :(. Staff is horrible and rude, if they do not want to help you they leave you on hold, in hopes you would just hang up. I had a scheduled MRI and I needed to get an additional X-ray done that THEY missed on the doctors orders. They didn't put me on the list for the X-ray, and then added me on after the MRI, NO ONE HAS AN HOUR TO WASTE!!!! I had a disputed charge on my bill that needed to be removed, AND AGAIN!!! left on hold for a decade until someone answered, put me on hold AGAIN!!, 20 min. later someone else answered and told me they could not help and I had to call the location... BUT THEY ARE THE BILLING DEPT!!! REALLY!!!! IF YOU HAVE ANY WAY FOR ANOTHER OPTION THAN SIMONMED, I RECOMMEND YOU TAKE IT AND STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS ILLMANAGED COMPANY AS YOU CAN. read more

Horrible customer service. Arrived at 1:20 for x rays for my 4 year old after being sent over from a dr at urgent care. Then to be told they stop taking x rays at 1:30. I advised the front desk it was not 1:30 yet and she felt the need to go into detail how she received a text from the back how they are not taking anyone else because she had 3 patients already to image. That sounds very lazy & poor customer service. Turning away customers that need images cause you have 3 patients ahead and don't feel like taking anymore?? Then shrugged her shoulders and said oh well go to the hospital or come back Monday. You need to get better staffing in all areas. Horrible experience and never will go back to this place. read more

I have had 3 tests at two locations of Simon meds. I need to stop coming here?,?!?! I just don't know what's wrong with me that I get consistently bad service, rude treatment at the front desk, and ridiculous wait times. I mean really what's the point of scheduling an appointment anyway. 1);let's start with the front desk. Poorly education on what they are actually doing and read from a script so they can't deviate if you ask an off script question. I won't even touch on the piss poor rude behavior. 2) requiring an appointment only to sit and wait in the queue. 3) demanding payment for incorrect amounts without actually processing a claim with my health plan... be prepared to grab your ankles because if you want your test done you have to pay. It's a joke. 4) HIPPA REQUIRED PRIVACY seriously let's just have everyone crowding around me to get to the desk first go through my wallet while they eavesdrop on my personal business why not just have everyone get naked and do their tests all together As someone who works in the health care field and knows what the minimum expectation of health care providers is... they should be glad I'm not a surveyor on a site visit because they just failed to meet the conditions of coverage. Spent over two and a half miserable hours here this afternoon. I arrived at 1:45 for an MRI and left at 4:25. The time was spent in a very dirty environment: dust covered floors, ripped upholstery on the chairs, no toilet paper or paper towels in the restroom, and a tech who complained she had been overbooked and didn't even bother to change the bed coverings from the last patient. There were two large trash bins in the waiting room filled with trash so I assume the place is to undergo redoing of some sort in the future. Still I think it is unacceptable to have such a dirty health care facility. read more

Your 5410 W Thunderbird Rd location in AZ is awful with scheduling. Today is the second time I came for my mri (after a reschedule). My appointment was at 9:30. They can't take me back until 11! This happened last time too! I had to wait 2 hours past my appointment to get it done then. I had to take Valium this time and I took it right before today's scheduled appointment and now it'll likely wear off before hand. They just told another lady that her scheduled appointment would be 1.5 hours too. She had to cancel the other appointment she was going to today. This isn't right. Why schedule appointments if you can't stick to them? It doesn't make sense. I will likely never come back to SimonMed. ***update*** Just after writing this review I was called to the front desk and the lady told me it would be one more extra hour of waiting. I would give SimonMed Imaging at Thunderbird zero stars if that was an option. I have been there before and the service used to be good. But not anymore! After a 2 .5 hour wait I left without service and very shoddy customer service. I went yesterday with a doctor's order for an X-ray which is usually a walk-in appointment. They checked me in and asked me to wait. After about 45 minutes I checked to see if they had called my name yet, and the person at the desk said I had not been. I waited another hour, and no call. Then about 45 minutes later, I asked what the status was and when could I expect to be seen. I was told that I would be in the next "batch". I asked what that meant for me, and how much more time it would take, and I was told that the next "batch" would be up in about 20 minutes! I wasted 2.5 hours waiting and then finally got fed up and left. Also, as an afterthought about an hour into my wait, they offered masks for everyone in the room that did not have any! Why were they not aware of the situation at the get-go. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Dont bother making an appointment with their online appointment scheduler. This is the 2nd time ive made an appointment online only to get to my appointment and have them tell me " oh, thats just a request"??!! If your system doesnt work then either fix it or remove it. Online scheduling for Sonora Quest works just fine, so i know it can be done. Bottom line, just call and wait on hold for 10 minutes to make your appointment instead of depending on their online appointment scheduler. Their radiological staff are great once you actually get to them. read more

I had a mammogram done a couple of weeks ago at 5410 W Thunderbird and it was a great experience. The front office people were very pleasant as well as Ann, the mammo technologist. SimonMed Imaging is the worst imaging place I've ever been to. I swore I would never go there again but I did. They haven't changed. I did not get my heart ultrasound. I waited 30 minutes went up to the check in and asked why I haven't been called for my ultrasound. They had no idea asked if I wanted to cancel the appointment and take my order. "Yes". Didn't bother to ask for my insurance information, when I told her I had insurance she said "you don't want to pay cash?" I said "no, that's why I pay and have insurance, so let me know when you're ready to take down my insurance information.", she then huffing and puffing (you can hear it her tone over the phone) "what's your insurance?" as I start giving her my information, she hung up.... Called back spoke to someone else, added my insurance information. When I went to my appointment and to be told they do not handle that kind of imaging and sends me to another location and again everyone is rude at the front desk, I was charged wrong amount. almost one month to get my appointment for an ultrasound . then crazy lady at desk changes the order to something that's not even requested by my doctor because she can't read the order. second test was ultrasound (R) LE soft tissue lumps she changes the order to check my circulation on my blood vessels then it gets changed to my wrist she even called my ankle an upper extremity because the lump is above my ankle and I have this order change because she even gave me back my order and handed me her new order I could not get them to listen or even try to understand what was going on this is on going with them never going to that office or any other simonmed anyone from simonmed wants to see paperwork let me know read more

My wife had an appointment last night. This was a reschedule as the prior appointment at another location fell through. We drove 45 minutes to get there and, on arrival, we're told that they are running 60 late. No apologies, no phone call to advise us. Then, my wife was lectured by the MRI tech because we were upset at the way we were being treated. We are respectful of their time, we arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the appointment. Why is it so hard for these people to show some respect toward us? I will refuse a referral to Simon Imaging on the future and advise others to do the same. read more

I realize that Covid is affecting businesses, but there are still things you can do to ensure you are giving good customer service/patient care. I made an appt. Fir my MRI at a location an hour away from my home to accommodate my work schedule. I was also told at the time of scheduling that this location had Xrays. I tried calling on my way to confirm if they could do my Xray as they only do walk-in appts and was on hold and hung up on 3x. I ended up arriving before anybody answered. When I arrived I was surprised to find the place with only one patient and 3 people sitting behind the desks. Do you mean to tell me no one could answer the phones?? If they had, I would have found out that no Xrays are being done today at this location. Had I known, I could have planned better around my work schedule. Then I am told that the MRI tech is running about 30 - 45 minutes late. Again, had I been able to get through on the phone and given this information, I could have made different arrangements so that I could make it to work on time. This is not the girls behind the desk's fault. However, I do think that a little effort in the way you handle your customers/patients would go a long way. read more

Went on line and got an "appointment" for 9 AM. Got there about 8:45 and the very nice receptionist said, "X-rays are done on a walk-in basis it will be about an hour wait." I asked why they let you "schedule on line" and she stated she doesn't know.by the time I walked out (over an hour later, waits were being quoted at 3 hours! What is wrong with them that they let you schedule a non existent appointment? The website should be far more honest and user friendly. There were people there before me who had ALREADY waited several hours. I was there for a annual check up, no presenting issue but some folks there were sick and IN PAIN. They seem to have a monopoly on imaging but I am calling my physician on Monday and urging them to NEVER send another patient ($$$) there again. read more

My wife had an appt for an MRI here. Her appt was scheduled for 1 pm. She was brought back to prep for the MRI at 4 pm, then left in the hallway in just a gown until nearly 5 pm. The lobby was packed and unorganized. Staff were not trained properly to handle the patient flow. If you are referred here, I would recommend asking your physician for a different imaging location. I work in the medical field, specifically diagnostics and I would be embarrassed to manage a facility that operates this poorly. read more

My mother had an appointment for an MRI last night and the technician refused to allow her to wear her mask. He argued with her and told her she wouldn't need it. It would get too hot. It wasn't necessary. How unprofessional. It's absolutely necessary. Someone needs to retrain him on the proper protocol. In the middle of a pandemic to tell someone they weren't allowed to wear a mask. He didn't clean anything and told her "it was fine" when she asked if anything was cleaned before she arrived not to mention he wasn't even wearing his mask properly it was below his nose. Arrived 8:15 for an 8:30 appointment. Seven people in line in front of me to check in so we had to wait in the hallway. Then I waited until 10:00 until I went to the desk to ask how much longer. I gave up my seat for a lady on crutches. Seats were only 3 ft apart in the waiting area. Many people without masks, sneezing and coughing. No temps being taken. People standing in the hallway. Just what we need at a time when AZ covid is up 93%. Finally finished up at 10:30. I hope I don't get sick. I'd feel safer at a crowded bar downtown. read more
