Friendly and timely service; many scheduling times in to the evening. Very communicative during the scans on what to expect and timing.

This facility does not care about the patient experience at all. I completed the online check in and questionnaire the week before and when I arrived they did t have it and I had to complete a paper version all over again. They didn't notify me prior of any copay amount and when I arrived they said I had to pay the coinsurance immediately or they wouldn't provide service and I'd have to reschedule. The only way to submit the payment in that moment was a credit card and they required me to pay a 3% processing feel. As I'm writing this, my appointment was at 9am and it's 9:30am and I haven't been seen. Do not go to this facility! read more

I can't believe we tell patients to come to Simonmed I'll be changing that moving forward. I can't even be mad at people who just straight up abuse urgent care and resort to ER if to get what you need done takes weeks. I tried getting an xray and it's been impossible at now at two locations. You can't schedule an appointment for them, not to mention you show up as early as possible like they recommend and they don't even have a technician. Yet let's talking about the most stupid hours to offer walk in only 8:30-4:30 at most locations----as if people don't have a thing called jobs that they do in those hours. I'm honestly floored I knew our healthcare system was bad but I didn't realize it's absolute shit. I waited almost an hour for them to not even know if their xray tech was going to show up. Seriously go start filing reports with the state. I made a total of 10 calls trying to get through to this direct location with their garbage call center setup only to be hung up on, call dropped, and told they would fax my order. Incompetent to even hand you back the correct paper that had my order but I guess I'm the stupid one for not checking their work. They are not prepared for your appointment. Tried to charge me over 400 dollars when my whole deductible for the year was already met. Then tell me they cannot verify as the portal is down. This company is a disaster. This is the second time they have scheduled me for a CT scan at a site that has no CT scanner. Last time, it took 2 months to get a correct appointment. This time I just went to another company. And that was the second shock - Simonmed had done nothing to inform me of the needed preparation which, according to my new provider, is quite demanding. read more

If I could leave this place with no stars I would. I had to call to schedule my bilateral MRIs because the online scheduling service had too many bugs. I talked to an outsourced customer service center somewhere. After telling the scheduler that I was immobile and would need assistance and required that both MRIs HAD TO BE DONE CONCURRENTLY AT A CLOSE LOCATION the scheduler took the information and scheduled me for 9.30 on the day and location requested. I subsequently received text messages telling me that there were two different appointments at two different locations. So I called back and told the schedule they had screwed up and they said it was corrected. Now. I then again got a text message indicating a totally different location. So I called back a third time and was told that everything was okay now. We arrived at the MRI location which is 3201 West Peoria. 15 minutes ahead of time. Almost 90 minutes later they called us back. I was in leg immobilizer and unable to bend my leg and the location did not have a wheelchair that was outfitted for leg stability. So my wife had to end up holding my leg in the air while we were transferring into this inadequate chair and then she proceeded to back up holding my legs while she was bending over + MRI tech was pushing the wheelchair because the MRI tech did not have anyone to help her. My wife was not allowed to enter the room and the MRI tech could not lift my husband onto the table on her own and so my wife went and found another employee and sent the employee into the room to help the MRI tech. It would not have been possible without the assistance of the second employee and also would have been dangerous. Keep in mind that we told the scheduler multiple times that I am immobile.. It was a ridiculous carnival. We then found out that one of the MRI orders was incorrect and my wife was instructed to call the doctor and get that MRI request changed while I was getting my first MRI. The doctor's office sent new the revised MRI order almost immediately. What then ensued was literally a shouting match between the front office supervisor and my wife because the supervisor was saying that she didn't care that the order was changed. It wasn't going to happen because they were running behind. Literally this was a screaming match with the front office supervisor being irate with my wife. She then later apologized after my wife threatened a lawsuit over this whole affair. I have personally used this MRI location many times over the past 10 years but I will never use it again or ever use Simonmed. They should lose their license and I will be pursuing formal complaints. read more

I can't believe the experience I just had. I walked in on a Sunday, as my schedule is very back to back. Removed permanent jewelry, rescheduled my family's entire day to have this appointment. In the lobby they were playing a program on the Christian faith, heavy on the Jesus stuff. Every accompanying commercial was about Christian faith, and the glory in their god. Then, up next, a program on how fun it is to be an obedient house wife, and how glorious that is. What is going on? After sitting there for 45 minutes I had to leave. I'm here for medical care, not to feel triggered by religious messages and devaluing women. I couldn't believe it. So I lost time, money, and then I as expected to lose respect for the progress we've made as a society in valuing our women. Get it together. read more

They told me to come back first thing in the morning. I asked specifically what time. She couldn't provide one. I came back in the morning and was turned away AGAIN. They tried sending me to yet another location and when I explained my experience and asked if they could call to confirm I could actually get in, she said her manager had just called and she declined. After two hours of driving around to SimonMed locations, I called my doctor and asked for an order with SMIL instead. I will not ever give my money to SimonMed. read more

So after 7 months of service here, they send me a bill for $1880 for a service was done 7 months ago I called my insurance before doing the tests and insurance paid for everything because i have reached my deductible so i was told i have to pay zero out of pocket. DO NOT GO HERE! THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE! On March 27, 2025 at 12:15 began the worst experience I've ever had with a medical facility. I was there for a diagnostic ultra sound and mammogram so I was already feeling anxious. I was "greeted" at the front desk by the most incredibly rude receptionist possible, Karolie (possibly Carolie). She had long, greasy red hair, dark mascara circles under her eye and lipstick on her teeth, dirty appearance and completely unprofessional, with a sour expression on her face. This girl very clearly hated her job. In the 2.5 hours I was there, not a single time did I see her smile or offer the slightly bit of empathy or understanding to any of the other people packed in the front this location like a cattle car. Instead, she snapped when I didn't have my order (with SimonMed doesn't tell you to bring), didn't offer to help even though I'd waited two weeks for my appointment and rudely said "too bad, you'll have to reschedule" then went back to typing. I watched her say this exact thing to an elderly woman as well with zero remorse as venomously as possible. What's really great about this chick is she left me sitting there for an extra 25 minutes even though three minutes later, my doctor's office fax over the order. What's really fun is that during this time, they also said they couldn't find my information online, even though it showed I'd already filled out. On top of being filthy, this place is unorganized so exactly who you want to trust your life with, right? When I finally got in the back, I then had to pay before having my appointment and had to wait another twenty for this chick to come to come back to her desk after loudly gossiping in the back. I had to ask two employees for help grab her. When she finally decided to do her job, I watched as she literally couldn't find my health insurance, didn't even ask me for more information or call the number on the card, and instead lied saying they "weren't within network" when this soft jawed, blond guy by the name of Adam came from the back and told her what sounded like I wouldn't know the difference anyway. Adam, is also a piece of work. Equally as rude, condescending and thinks wearing faded black scrubs makes him important. Fun fact: I'm a nationally licensed Health Insurance and know exactly how my health insurance works so that garbage treatment doesn't work on me. What's extra fun is now they're asking for $410 before I can even have my appointment (which is twice what I was quoted) and since they REFUSE to provide an itemized bill united you call, I didn't find out until later my total bill was actually $725! From there, my doctor/nurses in the back, Inggris and Alexis, were great. I explained to both of them my situation and seemed genuinely understanding as well as professional when performing my mammogram and ultrasound; even going as far as to get my results the same day so I wouldn't have to come out. It's genuinely a shame they work in a facility that also employees such terrible, uncaring humans. It all wrapped up "nicely" with the Dr David Ryder finally coming in and bluntly telling me I needed a biopsy; big stupid, insensitive smile on his face with zero reassurance or once again, sensitivity. Like seriously, who these people and do they not realize they work in the health field, supposedly to HELP women?! Honesty, at the now almost three-hour mark, I let him have it; chewed him out over his employees that other people have complained about and told him I was NEVER, under any circumstances having further services there. When he tried to protest that I had to, I put my hand up to correct him that I know how to get my records and will go elsewhere then firmly told him he could leave and we were done. After the door closed, I instantly broke into tears over the anxiety and frustration of it all, that it unnecessarily didn't need to be like that while already being scared for my health to while Alexis tried to comfort me with a box of tissues and kind words. If you have read all of this, DO NOT go to ANY SimonMed Imaging facilities!!! There is a reason they have those negative reviews. There is a reason they have so many complaints. My appointment was scheduled and confirmed a week ago, so I requested a time off from my employer. I arrived 40 min earlier to fill out paperwork. The office receptionist, a young lady, happily announced that my appointment must be rescheduled because of they ( SimonMed imaging) are waiting more information from a doctor. She definitely demonstrates prejudice towards me as I have a heavy accent. She didn't provide any additional help and I caused me a lot of efforts to figured out was going on. I should never want to see this receptionist again. The problem was not in a doctor' office information, but my insurance request for additional reason. So I paid from my pocket $125. So I got my appointment confirmed, even earlier for same day, instead 8:15, at 8:10. But I still waiting sitting in the waiting room area. Many people who were coming later than me were taken to exams, but not me. I feel she is putting me in the end of the line just to make it is more difficult for me. I feel it is not care from a person who represents medical facility, who must demonstrate more humanity and emphaty than any other person. read more

Dexa Scan ordered. Spent 90 minutes on line scheduling appointment and completing paperwork. Even had to provide a copy of the Dexa Scan Order and Insurance Card and ID. (How do folks without good computer knowledge and access schedule?) Everything ready and appointment scheduled and confirmed. Text reminders of appointment day before, and morning of. Arrived as directed 15 minutes prior to appointment. No one at reception desk when arrived. 7 minutes later pleasant receptionist arrived and did check in. Sat in unkept and dirty lobby for 45 minutes. Questioned when test would begin. Informed that the Radiology Tech was not even in the office, but was DOING X-RAYS SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE BUILDING and they didn't know when DEXA scan would be done. Receptionist offered to attempt to contact Tech but would not be able to find out when tech would be back in office or when Dexa scan would be done. TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY. Unfortunately I wish I didn't have to join the others giving this place a bad review but here I am. While the front staff and all the staff I interacted were nice and professional, what was supposed to be an hour Appt turned into me being there for 2 1/2 hours. Why? Because the scheduling department didn't have me scheduled for my breast ultrasound although I was supposed to have one. The tech doing the ultrasound had to fit me into her schedule so I had to wait over an hour. Not sure about anyone else but I don't have time to just sit around on my day off, after having scheduled this weeks ago, show up on time and do my part just to sit around because someone couldn't get their ish together. Hopefully you don't have something seriously wrong. I went in for a mammogram and was sent home because they said they had the wrong type of order from my doctor. This was after I waited and checked in using the text/email link sent to me. I was never checked in and the front office staff said their online system doesn't work. Order was fixed from my doctor and scheduled the appointment. I received several texts stating the order was pending. I called 3 times to confirm my appointment was good and then received another text asking me to schedule my already scheduled appointment. So I called and was told it was not scheduled properly. I would use any other diagnostic lab but this one. If your health is at stake, do not trust this company to get it right. read more

What a place. The people coming in need so much guidance. The answers are not direct and the process is unusually odd. I came prepared with order, ID, and insurance card; most seem not to be prepared. If you speak Spanish you are in luck. I will skip this spot next time even if I have I have to wait longer. Not a fan of this spot. On the positive side the technician Tara was absolutely wonderful. She explained well and was very thorough. If you have a choice, go elsewhere for imaging, not SimonMed. We try to avoid SimonMed, as their quality of care, scheduling, etc has really deteriorated over the last several years. Report quality sucks, you spend way too much time in the waiting room because they over schedule and don't have sufficient (or qualified) staff. But this week we were stuck with them - and again they reinforced why we hate SimonMed. BAD service, excessive wait, etc. We haven't found one location that is any different. It may be related to the fact they were acquired by a private equity firm a couple of years ago. This is a money-making machine - not patient care. read more

Was told to be there at 6:30 am for pet scan for breast cancer. This is a business and no one showed up at front desk till 7:30 and when young girl came in said traffic was bad. Wow ! Kevin was X-ray tech came out and opened doors finally 4 other people were there.Finally a PET tech came out at 7:45. Nice enough gave me tried 3 times to give me iv push With shaky hands... no one else around. No radiologist or anyone else. This place is old looks the same way it did 10 years ago and yet I have a friend who says their north locations are very clean and nice and modern. And they have lots of people. Do I trust my Pet Scan no not really... not very professional at this location for sure! I will probably have to get another for Peace of mind... read more

NEVER USE SimonMed. Upon arrival for my PET Scan in August, i was asked to pay $1000 more than what i was told I would be responsible by my insurance company. They obviously did not verify with my insurance prior to my arrival and would not accept anything less from me. I was told I would be refunded for the difference once they received an EOB from my insurance. It is December. My EOB was sent in September and I still have no refund. They are continuing to hold my $1000. They have no concern or consideration for a prompt refund. 5 Stars to the technician who performed my scan. Zero Stars for front office who did not listen to my concerns and did not verify with my insurance prior to arrival. And ZERO Stars for Simon Med and their slow and incompetent billing department. read more

My appointment was for 8:30. I checked in and did all the things online and arrived at 8:15 as they requested. It's almost 9:30 and I'm still waiting. Told 30 mins ago they needed to warm up the machine. Told 15 minutes ago the tech was with another patient. This is ridiculous. Go elsewhere if you have a choice. read more

If I could give SimonMed zero starts I would. They are so difficult to deal with. I scheduled with them twice to get a CT Scan. The first time they missed up the paperwork to Cigna, which I then spent time correcting. The second time I made certain to receive Cigna approval first, called and scheduled the appointment with SimonMed and reconfirmed everything with both Cigna and SimonMed. I received a text this morning that I cancelled my appointment - I did not. When I called them they said Cigna denied the approval - they did not. I had 2 appts, and after 10 min waiting, they canceled my first appointment because the tech was behind, but said it was because I was late and she left. Nope, she was behind. Front desk LIES! I had a service done on 12/6/22. I was charged the full amount for the imaging service when it should have just been the deductible. I was in quite a bit of discomfort and was told that I had to pay if I wanted the service. Upon further review Simon Med said they "approved" the reimbursement of the service as it should have just been a deductible. I have been in contact with their customer service in India since March, stating I would be receiving a refund. I went to the actual imaging facility and they gave me a number that was disconnected. It is now end of May, over 6 months of this. I have contacted multiple people on the 1-888 number and it is the same transfer, transfer, we are expediting this, thanks for your patience. Just be aware that when you get to SimonMed it might be overbooked their technicians might not have showed up to work or that particular machine you wanted is not working and you might even be sent to another office where they have the same problem. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would. Do not use this provider. Our ins confirmed they covered a speciality petscan and this is a network provider. The scheduling insists it is not covered and we either have to have the dr change the petscan type or pay cash (over $5,000) up front. Called my ins again and they said they cannot do that they are contracted and this is a covered petscan, called them again and the scheduler was rude and insisted ins will not pay for it you have to pay cash. I have found another provider that has stated they will work with insurance, we do not have to pay cash up front, as they are a contracted provider with the insurance. Unless you are financially able to pay cash for your services stay away... read more

I would give them a zero if that was an option. I have been going to SimonMed for years following a cancer diagnosis 10 years ago. At one point, while I was there for my appointment they demanded a copay of over $300 for an exam that was fully covered by my insurance and held the exam hostage unless I paid it. Although I pursued reimbursement but never received it or a response to multiple emails sent to them. I continued using SimonMed after that (with my insurance benefits in hand each time) mostly because they held all of my exams and history. Also, their techs and other staff are kind and compassionate. However, as of today I am done with them for good. I have had an order for a PET CT since January 3, 2025. Although they have been calling me to schedule the appointment off and on daily, sometimes more than daily when it gets to scheduling the appointment they tell me my physician didn't use the right code and they will contact them. Two weeks ago, I decided to get involved and called my doctor and told them what I was being told. They assured me that the information had been sent. The next time I called SimonMed to schedule the appointment they told me they were still waiting for the code but when I told them what my Dr. said they said oh yes, they responded but it was still the wrong code sent in. I asked how I could help and would they give me the code they need or help me understand the issue. I was told no. My exam lost in the middle of someone's failure to communicate. The person today did not offer to help in any way but told me she understood my frustration..... Really???? - I doubt that she understands the anxiety involved in needing to schedule a PET CT. I called my Dr. again today and we decided to go to another provider. In less than 3 hours I now have an appointment with the new provider on Monday. The only silver lining is that I will take my health problems, my families health problems and anyone who will listen to another provider. read more
