We did have a small issue being booked at the wrong location with the wrong size MRI machine, but the woman at the front desk was so nice and she showed us the size that they have versus the bigger size in the medical Center and she worked online and got us scheduled immediately the next day at the Rice University location. read more

This is by far the most frustrating experience I've had getting a properly read mammogram. This is my first year without great medical insurance so I tried this process of self-pay. I wound up going to SimonMed Imaging Katy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They initially refused to accept prior years images in spite of me receiving emails telling me to bring prior images to my appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] According to the office manager there, they only accepted prior imaging if it was a diagnostic test and not a regular mammogram. I was proactive in bringing prior images because there had been concerns after taking the Covid vaccine with readings. Suffice it to say, I got a concerning result so they decided to accept prior imaging. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One CD was unfortunately cracked, so I completed a medical release and stayed to ensure it was faxed to the prior facility in another state, and then followed up by calling that facility to ensure it was received.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The out of state facility sent the images electronically the same day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Six days later I had no response so I drove back to SimonMed and was told they didn't have the images.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I patiently called the out-of-state facility and confirmed that they sent them six days prior and they agreed to resend them. The office manager at Simon med then called their records department and was apparently told it takes them 4 to 6 weeks to upload images received. What!? So first I'm told the images weren't received and then I'm told the images were PROBABLY received but they wouldn't know for 4 to 6 weeks when the records department decides to upload them. Then she added that they did receive a report from 2025. I pointed out you don't get a report without getting images along with it since you didn't have either of them until the request was made for them to be sent. I have lost all faith with Simonmed and Radiology Assist due to this horrible process. Heaven help me if I actually have a serious issue that needs to be addressed because I apparently have to wait 4 to 6 weeks just to find that out. read more

I drove from Austin to Katy to have a DEXA scan at this imaging center because they have the extra TBS software, which tells you more about your bone than just the density. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was greeted very nicely with a very professional young woman when I checked in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, when I was taken back to have the scan done the young man that was the technician had absolutely no communication skills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was not offered a locker and had to change into a gown and was told I couldn't leave my things in the room so I carried them into this tiny little room, and it was quite embarrassing because I had my undergarments with me and the whole thing seemed Very unprofessional. I was especially disappointed in the fact that they do not put your knees on a block while doing the scan because it is a proven fact that if you do not have your knees on a block, then your spine is arched because your back is arched and the reading is not correct . [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ask about that and the young man said they don't do that. He had no personal skills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're going to be working in a center that is doing scans on people (with a high percentage of those people having scans done checking for something that's quite serious) your company needs to train you in how to communicate and be sensitive and to talk through what you're doing with your patient. I probably wasted a trip because it was done incorrectly and just the unprofessionalism of the experience makes me super upset with myself for not reading the reviews before I went. Owners of Simon that you need to do some training so that your technicians are sensitive and caring people that offer a locker for peoples belongings and our professional and informative. read more

When I got there they told me the order and scheduling was wrong and they realized in the morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But they were not smart or considerate enough to call about that detail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk lady was nice, however the person next to her was totally rude, and did not care or bother to find a solution.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Horrible place. Absolutely an awful imaging center. Scheduled my mammogram and ultrasound that was ordered by my doctor because of a potential breast cancer concern. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I scheduled my appointment 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE! Just to be called less than 24 hours before my appointment to be left a voicemail saying there wasn't a tech scheduled for the day of my appointment so they canceled it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a despicable thing to do, it is INCREDIBLY nerve racking and upsetting having to schedule a mammogram before 30 years old because of a risk of breast cancer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The days leading up are filled with anxiety and nerves and to be left a voicemail stating they don't have a tech is ABSURD.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will NEVER EVER use this place I'd rather pay out of pocket for the testing than use a place that has NO empathy and care for their patients. read more
