The Biltmore office read an X-ray 6 weeks ago of my hand and said there was no break. My hand kept hurting so I went to a hand surgeon last week and he took X-rays. The X-ray showed my hand was broken. My surgeon asked me to get the original X-ray from Simon Med. My surgeon (and his receptionist) read the original X-ray and both saw the break. They don't know how Simon Med missed it. When I asked the Simon Med receptionist for my X-ray cd because they (Simon Med) made a mistake, she said she wasn't surprised. read more

I unfortunately need a frequent CAT scan on my lungs. My Pulmonologist ordered a low intensity scan..... their technician can't read electronic script instructions and did a high intensity. This company obviously doesn't give a hoot about your health. read more

I'm not giving them a 1 star due to medical service but SMI coded my bill wrong and it ended up in collections . When I called them about it, the woman was so rude to me and made it seem like it was MY fault that their biller coded it wrong. So my credit took a hit and they refused to accept responsibility and contact the credit companies on my behalf. Unacceptable! Horrible billing and customer service. WORST experience ever! Do not go to any Simon Med, save yourself the headache and pay more to go some where else. Tried three different offices, three different appointments only to prove a waste of time and now my increased tolerance of truly incompetent people. First appointment for MRI set at 7pm, told upon arrive they were running behind. Waited until 8:20 pm to be told the machine was down and it would take 30-40 minutes to try and get it back up. Person rescheduled us for another appointment for 5:30pm, received a call day of appointment at 10 am person indicated they had a cancellation for a 3pm appointment and wanted to know if we could switch, I explained no that we had to take off work already. At 5 pm a representative called and stated that the tech noticed the MRI was with and w/o contrast and they did not have the correct staff to do this procedure. Rescheduled again. Next appointment set for 3:30pm at 4:25pm my husband was brought back to speak with the tech and be questioned on a saline implant. Tech stated that he needed to have the doctor call and give specifics, or have an implant card. Obviously, first day for this person, but a testicle saline implants do not warrant an implant card. Yet again, another appointment had to be made. Fourth appointment was successful due to omitting information. In the meantime called the so called Compliance Number to make a complaint. Called 602-688-6116, which the rep from the location of the third appointment gave me. I called this number three days in a row and left messages each day with out response. It may not be a big deal if the reason for your appointment is not critical, however a brain MRI to determine if a tumor is back seems rather critical and regardless of the reason, they should be able to do their jobs effectively. Once again, proving that is too high of an expectation. Beware, get your bag of patience on for the lack of training, common sense and utter incompetence! read more

Had a 7 am appointment and was asked to arrive at 6:30. When I got there it was locked and no one arrived until 6:50. No apologies. Then they didn't have the order. Luckily my doctor gave me a copy but I had left it at work. Was told that I needed to go and get it. Left and drove to my office and back again. Still no apologies. The exam itself was great and the tech couldn't have been nicer but I received nothing in the way of empathy from the front desk. You may want to try a different location. read more

Walk in only for xrays. Very inconvenient. I waited like 40 minutes. Their website allows you to make an appointment for xrays which is misleading. Xray tech was nice. Got me a disc to take with. Waiting room was playing crackle, Seinfeld was on. read more

I had to go in for a MRI, I must have wrote down the wrong time because my appointment was at 9 and I was there at 8. I had way enough time to fill out their paperwork. Only thing is it is simple so took like 2 minutes. Well I have a lot of time to kill now. Maybe I can watch some Netflix or Hulu Plus. I didn't get the opportunity to do that though. They pull me back like 45 minutes before my appointment. I was so thankful that they were able to do that. They tech was very friendly and he explained what is going to go on. He gave me some ear plugs since the machine is loud. Well I worked all night so I ended dozing off, lol. Before I knew it I was done. I was out of there before my original appointment even started. Went in for MRI. Tech was abrupt/rude ti me when I said I did not want to leave my ID up front unattended. (Have been an ID theft victim in the past.) Would have been a 4 star without... would have been a 1 but the tech did eventually apologize. Not my usual experience, but felt disrespected and disregarded... a little more time and consideration, 10 secs more and an acknowledgement of my concerns would have made all the difference. read more

I went in Thursday around 10am for an xray. The office is clean with ample seating and a television. I was greeted promptly by the staff and asked to fill out a short form. About 5 minutes after completing the form I made my co-payment. Then in another 10 minutes I was called back for the xray and all went smoothly. Dawn was an amazing mammo & dexa tech! She was efficient, friendly and knowledgable. Without missing a beat she explained & answered my questions. 3D has been so bad in the past that I had considered skipping this year. Dawn made the entire experience so quick, almost painless and fun that I will return without hesitation next year. Their front desk person was great, too, and patiently spent much time explaining to a patient while helping others. The staff at this Deer Valley location is superb. read more

I absolutely loved my experience here. I think some people need to realize that a lot of issues such as payment are out of their hands. My MRI payment ended up being much higher than expected, and in my shock they were so comforting and gave me options on how to pay and plan of action. Not only were they helpful, the front desk lady and the man who took me back for my MRI were so understanding and fantastic. They even stood up for me when a woman came in late and tried to "jump" me in line for my MRI. They helped make a the process happy and enjoyable for me and I am so grateful those two were working today! I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I scheduled on phone told appt for MRI was at 4:00 check in at 3:45. Now it it 5:00. All alone in waiting room. Had to see if I was forgotten. No but was informed my appt was now at 4:30. AZ DEER VALLEY LOCATION - Technical issues on every front! I would give a ZERO STAR REVIEW if I could. Including the INCONVENIENT "courtesty call" the DAY BEFORE our scheduled appointment, letting us know my dad's MRI appointment has NOT BEEN "APPROVED". In addition, their patient portal and phone schedulers are terrible. My dad is an existing patient & was prompted to fill out...actually TYPE out descriptions/answers to almost every question on the 10 PAGES of online paperwork, only to reach an "error code" every time I got to page 4 and was sent back to the beginning of the paperwork.. When trying to log back in, in a NEW browser, I was prompted with a message saying my information was "compromised". I waited a week before attempting anything again and it required me to KNOW THE OLD PASSWORD in order to reset it my password to get in to the portal to fill out ALL THEIR PAPERWORK. SimonMed is a COMPLETE DISASTER. Not only is there no one competent to help by phone but when I did get ahold of a rep, I got transferred to the Deer Valley "front office" to request a PDF/printable set of paperwork so we could have it filled out manually before the appointment. Much to my surprise, AN ACTUAL WORKING DOCTOR/PHYSICIAN picked up the phone!!! I apologized after he told me that I reached the wrong area and introduced himself as the working physician. He was unsure as to why calls keep being forwarded to him as well while he's with patients. SimonMed might be the largest imaging business in AZ but they need to be held accountable for their extreme lack of professionalism, patient services and ultimately wasting our time! read more

I refuse to use SimonMed Imaging. I was sent there for an ultrasound. I was told at the time of my appointment that I had to pay in advance even though my insurance pays 100%. I made the 1st of 3 payments. As soon as the insurance processed the claim, I called them and said "do not process anymore payments because my insurance has paid the bill in full. They processed the second payment even though I called them and provided them the check number my insurance had sent to them. It took me 2 months to get my money back. I use Valley Radiology now, they don't require payment up front, they will bill you. read more

1. Like all the other reviews, I waited way past my appointment time. 2. The tech did not introduce themselves nor talk to me at all to make me feel comfortable. 3. They did not once explain what the procedure was or what they were about to do. 4. Unlike ALL doctor's offices, the tech did not leave the room when I changed. Simply said, "Don't worry, I'll turn around." 5. There was NO explanation of my results, just a one-word answer. 6. They just wanted me to get out. I was treated like a product and not a person. I came in early this morning and didn't wait longer than 15 minutes! The imaging tech was very friendly and made conversation to make me comfortable while taking the x-ray. They also sent the images very quickly to my doctor's office making the diagnosis easier. The waits can be an annoyance if you go in the afternoon or evening but they do warn you that it is walk in only on their website and posted on signs throughout the office. read more

I was scheduled for an ultrasound today. Everything went smoothly. I checked in and paid and was taken back promptly. My problem was with the technician. Her bedside manner left a lot to be desired and she was very condescending. She clearly did not want to do the exam, so it seemed like she was trying to talk me out of doing it. She was trying to make decisions that a doctor should make. After upsetting me, she attempted to back track, but the damage was done. I have never experienced this at ANY other diagnostic facility. I had a CT scan in August 2015 done at SimMed. Here we are, March 2016 when i get a letter from a collection agency that I owe them $20 and change. When i had the CT scan they clearly stated that the amount is ALL i have to pay and no other charges should follow. During all this month i did not receive a letter, a statement or a phone call. Just yesterday, the collection's agency letter. I called the billing dept (SimonMed) where i spoke with an extremely rude and unprofessional female. If we would be face to face you would most likely see her rolling her eyes while I was talking. I tried t clarify with her where the $20 are coming from...all i've got was her repeating 4 times: call the collection agency!!!! They just lost 3 patients (me and 2 members of my family) which have tests done there several times an year!!!! read more

I had an appointment at the Arrowhead branch at 11:00. I didn't have my procedure done until 12:15. My doctor wanted copies of the ultrasound on film, so I was asked to wait in the waiting room until they came out. I was told that they were out of film, so now I have to back and pick them up. Won't be going there again. read more

Very poor. When I went for a bone density & mammogram, I was never sent the results AND my doctor also was not sent the results. It took them over a month to give me the results! My daughter went for an MRI and completed the paperwork for them to send her the results directly, and they didn't!! When my daughter called them 3 weeks later, they said they didn't have the authorization form and she was told to complete the form again. I don't recommend Simon Med on 20414 N 27th Ave, will never go there again and will not recommend to family/friends. What good is having tests/scans done, if the results are not given to the doctors and patients?! read more

I have no idea what has happened to this facility but I used to brag about how wonderful the service and people were. Not any longer. The techs are always different. I had an ultrasound today and she got the gel all over my clothes and then didn't know how to make a cd for the doctor. She took me to the front desk where she asked that girl to make one for her. They told me it would be five minutes. At that time I told them I was also supposed to have a KUB, which they claimed, "oh yes" and the front girl told me my CD would be ready when I finished. The tech took me to the back and left my orders on the door and said someone would be with me shortly. The tech came out and did the KUB and I asked him if he could make the CD which he did right away. I then went back up to the front desk to get the other CD. Another girl was there helping and the girl that was supposed to make the CD was on the phone. When she got off the phone, she claimed she was waiting for the KUB to be done. I told her I already had that CD. I stood out front by the desk as the waiting room was full waiting for her to make the CD. Another woman came into the front office, I assume it may have been the front office manager and asked what I wanted. I told her and she said it would take 10 minutes or longer and I told her I had to leave. The first girl told me that it would be done in a couple of minutes. While I was waiting another woman was called to have an x-ray done by a young man with a Mohawk haircut. She was definitely having a problem walking and had to stop quite a few times crossing the waiting room. He never looked but just kept standing there holding the door. Where in the world is the customer service gone in this business? I have worked in the medical field for many, many years and this is totally unacceptable in my eyes. He could have left the door and come out to help her instead of standing there gazing into space. The other woman, who was busy telling me that it would take 10 minutes for the CD could have come out to help her too. I am so disappointed in this facility. It is convenient but if the service is getting as bad at this facility as it is in the other ones I have gone to, I will be looking for somewhere else to go. read more

I went for another MRI of my back yesterday 8/8/17 & Brad was my Tech. He was so nice & when I said about how bad that hard table hurt my back he put some padding under me that made it so comfortable I couldn't believe it. I went to the SimonMed at Goodyear Palm Valley on 02/26/14. I will NEVER go there again. I kid you not..3HOURS waiting for an exray. The floors were dirty, torn up magazines strewn about. The furniture was filthy. People where hacking and coughing and sneezing...babies screaming, people on cell phones talking loud, and some STUPID Billy Crystal movie precursor playing over and over and over. The tech seemed like he would rather be elsewhere and the receptionist just rolled her eyes up when I asked if this was a normal wait period. I asked if I could make an appt. for my next visit and they told me "first come first serve. It was like a Ghetto Clinic. Forget it! Hopefully the one in Scottsdale next to my surgeons office will be better suited because this one is to be avoided! read more

Have used this facility, also known as SIMON15, on several occasions for MRI and CT. Both require an appointment, which was very easy to schedule - they call you once they have the orders from your doctor, and if you miss their call, they leave a name and direct phone number for you to call them back. Facility was packed when I went for the MRI - however - they were running on time and I was called back a few minutes BEFORE my appointment time. When I went for a CT, about a third full, and was called back BEFORE my appointment time. All technicians I have dealt with gave very clear information about what the procedures involved, and what I needed to do, and appeared to be very experienced and patient focused. On one occasion I was provided with a CD to take to my doctor per his instructions, on another, the doctor had instructed that it be couriered to his office the following business day, which was done as scheduled. Personally, despite some of the other comments in other reviews, I don't believe there is anything to complain about this location of SimonMed. Perhaps those reviewers confused this location? read more

I arrived early for my appointment and found out that there was a miscommunication about my appointment time. In addition the MRI unit was currently undergoing service. After about an hour long wait the office Manager Ericka, asked to see me and personally apologized for the wait time and explained everything that was happening. She was personable and genuinely cared about my experience as a patient there, this was very refreshing. Thank you Ericka! The Technician was helpful and friendly and informed me about the procedure and process for receiving the results of the MRI. After the procedure I was led to the check out desk and they made a copy of the scan on a CD for me and let me know I could get a copy of the report as well within a few days. Got there, had all paperwork from the internet filled out, filled out one of their sheets not available on internet, went to restroom, got back and they called me in. The girls at the desk were so friendly and nice. I don't know what the other people are talking about, but feel I received excellent professional service. This is my 2nd visit to Simon Med. What a great experience! I took my 11 yr old son to SimonMed for a MRI. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. We were given a couple of forms to fill out but before I could even finish them we were already called back to begin the MRI. Talk about fast! Not only was it fast but we were greeted by a truly remarkable man by the name of Brad. He came out with a genuine smile and immediately noticed that my son was scared. He had such a calming way about him that starting relaxing my son's fears. He took the time to explain every little thing he was going to do before he did it and made sure my son understood AND was ok with it. This is something that all to many doctors, nurses, or tech's forget to do. He is the only reason my son was able to get through the test without having a panic attack. As if it was not enough to be such a truly caring and friendly professional, being that we finished our appointment early, he took lots of time after the test to make sure all of our questions were answered. Brad really knows what he is doing. So so so happy to have trusted them with my son's MRI. Thank you Brad and SimonMed!!! Highly recommend this location! read more
