TL;DR -- It's impossible to fathom a better realtor than Simon. He is a force of nature and I am not unconvinced that he has ESP. As someone who is laughably unqualified to use tired sports metaphors, I would say he knocked it over the fence, out of the park, every step of the way. 6/5 stars. 17/10 would recommend. Truly, look no further. After mentioning to a friend in passing that I was considering dipping a toe into the homebuying process, without a moment's hesitation, she told me, "You have to work with Simon. We're obsessed with him." (Obsessed? With your realtor? Mmmkay. Sure, I'll give him a call.). Approximately 23.5 hours after we met to tour the property I'd been eyeing and a slew of texts and phone calls later, the offer was in. 'Oh,' I thought. 'Oh, I get it now.' From our very first phone call, Simon met me exactly where I was and made me feel instantly heard and cared for. He strikes an ideal balance of professional, friendly, and approachable. He is supremely kind with unparalleled expertise; it's clear that he loves his work and deeply values his clients. He knows the market up to the minute, the stats, the comps, and the strategy, inside and out. He responds right away without adding an ounce of pressure and just as I was getting ready to send a new list of questions his way, the phone rings and he's calling to check in (See? ESP). There is no such thing as too minute a detail or a silly question. He outlines the full range of options and makes recommendations to consider without an agenda. No matter the project, he has an impressively extensive, well curated network of contractors and other resources/referrals to set you up for every service you could possibly need for your move. Most importantly, he's funny as %#$&. As many other reviewers have noted, Simon makes the process feel seamless and it's hard to think of a more fitting word. I just wanted to take a moment to let folks know how impressed I was by how Simon handled the sale of my daughter and son-in-law's house in Hyattsville.  They had their hands full and were overwhelmed with getting a house ready to sell while preparing to move to Baltimore, which included simultaneously searching for temporary and permanent housing, my daughter wrapping up one job, starting a new one, and my son-in-law working full time while also looking for a new job in Baltimore.  They had too much to manage and getting their house ready to sell felt like the breaking point for them. My husband and I have bought and sold quite a few homes over the last 40 years, but we never had an agent as engaged and invested like Simon. We could not dream of an agent better than Simon. Before we even started working together, he spent more than an hour on the phone explaining to me the DC housing market. In just that conversation, it was clear how much he loves the DMV and loves being an agent, and truly, how knowledgeable he is about both. Simon is so patient. The patience of a saint. After living in the south for a few years, our expectations weren't matching DC reality. You can trust Simon. From our first consultation to texting us to ask about our home and if we've met the neighbors (three months after we moved in!), Simon has clearly had our best interests at heart. He also makes an intimidating process so much fun. Three other key reason to work with Simon: 1. Simon is amazing, I cannot recommend him enough. I am a first-time homebuyer and found the process intimidating, and Simon really navigated me through it with a lot of knowledge and patience.
