I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth removed for about 7 years. Anxiety and my overthinking self would always get the best of me but my wisdom teeth decided otherwise. I had gone in for an emergency appointment, I told the doctor/nurses how I was feeling about it everything and they were all very accommodating and compassionate. Once I got in the room, everything went so fast, they definitely didn't give me a chance to think about what was going to be happening and before I knew it I was fast asleep. The procedure went by so quick! I did feel a little out of it after but there was absolutely no pain or discomfort. I will be doing a follow up in 2 weeks to ensure my recovery is going well and the wounds are healing properly. Highly recommend Dr. Choyee for your oral surgery needs! My wisdom teeth had been causing pain for a few weeks, so I was looking to get them extracted as soon as possible. I had a consultation with a different dentist, but I felt a a bit uneasy about the treatment plan they suggested, so I wanted to get a second opinion from an oral surgeon. I came across Dr. Choyee's practice while searching for oral surgeons that accepted Delta Dental PPO and found positive reviews. Upon calling his office, I was grateful that they had availability later that week for a consultation & same day extraction. Even starting from the phone call, I already felt more at ease. The receptionists were all very knowledgeable and helped explain how my insurance would be applied and other things to expect. The day of the extraction, I was at the office for an hour in total (consultation + extraction). After taking a quick panoramic x-ray, I decided to go with local anesthesia and only felt mild pressure during the procedure. No stitches were needed and I was sent home with gauze & instructions to pickup a mouthwash from my local pharmacy. I just had an upper molar extracted by Dr Choyee and plan to have an implant placed once the area heals. AMAZING! I could not recommend him enough if you need oral surgery. I went in for the removal of 2 wisdom teeth. The process was smooth and fast! I did not have pain after; however, he only prescribed me ibuprofen and not a narco med. Once the pain returned, I need something stronger and a quick phone call to the office did it. They quickly prescribed me a narco and that helped a lot. The Dr. is very caring and calls you after the surgery to see how you are doing. Great experience and I would definitely recommend to others. read more

Dr. Choyee is an amazing Oral Surgeon. I was recommended by Dr. Charles Kim from Blooming Dentistry to have my Wisdom Teeth removed. Overall, I had a smooth process: * I called and had a consultation appointment set up the same week. * Consultation was straight to the point and Dr. Choyee pretty much gave a thorough run-down of what the procedure was going to be like and answered any questions I had. * Went over what would be covered by insurance. * Scheduled an appointment for the procedure (they had appointments as soon as the following week. * Went to the procedure (was put under IV General Anesthesia & IV Antibiotics, the procedure lasted approximately an hour). * Woke up pain-free until an hour later, due to the Therapeutic non-narcotic injection given during the procedure. * My insurance didn't cover the Sustained Release Therapeutic injection that's recommended post-op to help with the pain for the following days, but I'd assume you'd be in less pain if your insurance covers it. * I was given prescriptions for Ibuprofen, another pain medication, and a special mouthwash. * They give you a red bag with gauze, an ice pack, and instructions post-op. * Dr. Choyee was kind and followed up via phone call the very next day to see how I was doing. * Mariah at reception was extremely nice and kind. Overall, I give Dr. Choyee and his team 5 stars and highly recommend him to anyone who needs to get their wisdom teeth or other Oral Surgery! Thank You! P.S. The staff will inform you ahead of time before scheduling your procedure that you need a driver to pick you up by the time the procedure is over. I first assumed this meant as long as you're not driving. I made the mistake of arriving and saying that an Uber was going to pick me up. But, you're not allowed to be picked up via Uber/Lyft due to liability/safety concerns of course. Thankfully, I was able to find a friend who was available last minute to pick me up. This was my first dental procedure under sedation, so I wasn't aware that I couldn't have an Uber/Lyft pre-scheduled to pick me up right after I finished. But I respectfully believe that in today's day and age where especially for young adults, whose family/friends are more than likely either at school or working M-F combined with the fact that Uber/Lyft is prevalent, it should be stated explicitly beforehand that Uber/Lyft is not allowed to be your driver, and it has to be a family/friend/someone you know, that way no confusion/misunderstanding occurs on the day of the procedure and gives the patient enough time to ask someone what day and time they'd be available to do us a favour of picking us up. read more

Had such a great experience at Dr.Choyee's office! Everything from the initial phone call scheduling the appointment to post op care for my wisdom teeth extraction everything went so smooth! I initially called in first thing in the morning when they opened because I had a previous failed wisdom tooth extraction a couple of days prior and was in extreme pain and discomfort. To my surprise Dr.Choyee and his amazing staff were able to squeeze me in last minute. They were able to do a consult and procedure to take off all 4 wisdom teeth that same day. At most I'd say I was in the office for about 1hr and 45 mins to 2 hrs not bad at all considering paper work and after care of course. All in all the great admin that explained everything and Dr.Choyee was extremely great with the patient education which definitely comforted. and reassured me knowing I'm in great hands! read more

We came here as a last stop for the remaining of my daughters teeth that needed to be pulled out. She's gone through two phases of braces and Dr. Simon was referred by our ortho Dr. Perry Do to help us achieve her perfect smile. Found this oral surgeon on Google, he's right across the street from the dentist I go to and from the beginning they were excellent! You are in and out during your consultation and surgery! Had my Wisdom teeth pulled on 1/17 and I checked in at 9:15 and was out teeth pulled and done in an hour. I was home right after and just healing. I do recommend coming here if you don't know an oral surgeon near you. His team is funny, polite and make sure you are safe!
