I am an anxious person. Especially when it comes to seeing a dentist. Dr Le and his staff made me feel comfortable, at ease but most importantly taken care of. From the moment I met Dr Le for our consultation he knew I was a complicated case. Don't wait until you are 40 to get your wisdom teeth removed!!!!!! Huge mistake. Dr Le had to remove both of my lower wisdom teeth and one molar in front of my wisdom tooth, he also had to do a bone graph because of the bone loss due to major infection. I was EXTREMELY scared but knew this needed to be done. I choose to be sedated which was the best thing!! I was conscious but extremely relaxed. Overall the surgery went very well and I'm now recovering. Very minimal pain and swelling. Dr Le knows his sh$t! Don't hesitate! He will get the job done and right the first time! !!BE AWARE!! (Horrible Experience) I went in to see Dr. Bach Le for a surgery. He went over my procedure and told me someone would be in shortly to go over cost and my insurance. A lady came in with normal paperwork to sign about the procedure and another piece of paper mixed in for a bill for a "autopsy" which they were claiming on the autopsy paperwork would not be able to be covered by insurance and was also 2X more than the cost of the actual procedure. When the lady handed me the paper work she did not go over anything with me other than I just needed to sign and initial where the lines were. As I went through the paperwork I noticed the "autopsy" bill and when she came back in to go over cost of the procedure I asked if I even needed this because my situation. She said she would ask the Dr. after 5 min she came back in and said that I didn't need to and that I don't have to pay the bill for the autopsy and that only needed to pay for the deductible for my surgery. So she took the paperwork away. I paid the deductible and the lady said to just wait a few minutes and they would take me back. A few minutes go by and the original nurse who brought me in the room came in with my original paperwork and said you just forgot to print your name at the top of the page which she pointed out and then went to the bottom left corner of the top page and bent it back slightly and said to just sign your signature here and then handed me the papers. When I looked at that back page that she said to "just sign your signature here" it was the exact same autopsy bill page! SUPER SHADY!!!!!! I was super upset because it felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me. I got upset and walked out and told them I want to leave and want my money back. Dr.Le was in the hallway and tried to tell me a bunch of BS and the lady started to backtrack and say she misunderstood the Dr. they knew exactly what they were doing and are super shady! Beware of their bait and switch tactic... I was a patient here and was given a total of 1,600 dollars. The showed me all the breakdowns of the totals. I was never told that this procedure would cost more, or that the1,600 dollars was an "estimate" according to them. So I signed the contract for 1,600 and I had to ask them to try my insurance to help with the 1,600 and they said they would do it's a "courtesy" mind you I had to run my credit to apply for care credit for the "1,600" as I was told. Weeks go by and I get a letter in the mail saying after they ran my insurance, I now owe almost 1,400 more on top of the 1,600?! Very shady bait and switch and I was never ever told that it was going to be more then 1,600 even after I signed the dotted line saying 1,600. What a horrible experience. Dr. Le and his staff are incompetent, rude, and Dr is a self-righteous jerk. I was looking forward to my wisdom teeth removal, as I had heard great things and was recommended by my dentist, whose judgment I used to respect. However, this was a trainwreck from start to finish. The staff do nothing to ease you into surgery. You are placed in a chair and get prodded as surgery begins without any forewarnings or anything to ease you in. Watch out for the "twilight anesthesia"! It is supposed to put you to sleep so that you can not feel the pain during the surgery. However, I was cognizant the whole time and felt all of the metal tools poking away in my mouth as the teeth were yanked aggressively and shots were injected into my mouth. If I knew that I would not feel this anesthesia, I would not have even paid for it. $700 down the drain for nothing! Looking for discharge instructions after your wisdom teeth removal? You're in luck - Dr. Le has none! The second the surgery is over, you are escorted to a waiting room where you sit until you are ready to get picked up. Want to speak with the Dr and his assistant who just did your surgery? Too bad - they've already collected your money and have moved on to the next patient to rip off. I was told that I would have a discussion with the Dr about pain medication that could potentially be prescribed after surgery. This never happened and I have been subject to the tylenol/advil regimen. This is not working whatsoever and I am in loads of massive pain constantly. If only there was something that could help me out with this.... You are handed a piece of paper with discharge instructions that are entirely contradictory to their actual website, and its discharge instructions. When questioning the discharge instructions (for clarity to ensure a proper healing process), you will be belittled and talked down to by the Dr himself! God forbid I want to make sure I have the proper post-operation instructions after paying over $2,000 for this surgery. Do not go here unless you want to piss your money away and feed the bank accounts of a bunch of narcissistic egotists. read more

After a not so great orthodontic journey and oral surgery mishap which led me to almost losing teeth, I visited Dr. Le at the recommendation of my dentist, and It was the best decision I ever could have made. I visited Dr. Le's office as a referral a few months ago and he was very polite and thorough in his consultation for my son. Unfortunately, I never went back due to the cost of the treatment and I was not able to afford it a the time of his staff quoting me. However, a few months after my consultation, I received a call from his staff named Stephanie asking me to call back regarding my insurance. I called and was told I am being billed for additional costs not covered by my insurance and have been sent numerous invoices. I was not quoted this during my initial consultation and also told her that I do currently have issues with my mail carrier as I not getting my mail and asked if she could please email me the invoice and I would pay it but I wanted to review the invoice first. She sounded very bothered but took my email and said would email it. This was on Thursday 6/20/19. I never received it so I called again Monday and again spoke to Stephanie who, again with her rude tone said she'd email it again. I have checked my email consistently and also my spam or junk and still have not gotten anything from Dr. Le's office. While Dr. Le was very nice, I will not be rescheduling my son's treatment with his office based on how rude and unprofessional his staff is. read more

I've been to Dr. Le's office for two procedures, years apart. The first experience was terrible, but I blamed myself for not going completely under for an extraction. The second time was recent and it was even worse than the first time. I paid to be put under for an extraction and implant. He was done within 15 minutes, and I was completely awake for it! Everything was done before I could say STOP! I moaned in pain and he didn't care and just mumbled almost done. My daughter picked me up and asked if I was okay and I started crying because I felt violated. I called the office when I got home and questioned the procedure, and the lack of anesthesia. All that was said to me is they would note my file and let Dr. Le know. I wouldn't recommend this office to my worse enemy. The staff are rude, they don't greet you in the morning, just swing the door open. The office is decent, but the surgery room itself could be cleaner. I've had implants done in another office and this procedure is done in two parts, extraction and bone graphing then placing the implant after 3 months of healing. This place is a wham-bam, not even a thank you ma'am! A one and done procedure. I went for my follow up appt and apparently owed $20, nothing was said to me when I checked in. They called me after I left, and had the nerve to say, I left without paying. Final thoughts, the cost of an implant is significantly cheaper here but not worth it. read more

Took my daughter for a wisdom teeth removal estimate. We have insurance so I expected some cost for the estimate, but not what they were asking for at the end. They do procedures before giving the estimate which is deceptive practices. If they were up front before the procedures, I would at least be prepared for payment and decide if this is expense is convenient at this time. At the end of the exam, we were asked to pay over $360 for x-rays, exam, and something called a "cone beam CT" which I discovered later is never covered by insurance. The CT scan was $250 alone and I was told it was required before any teeth can be removed. When I checked with my insurance, I was told the estimate was higher than the contracted rate. When I told the office rep that we would pay our costs after the procedure, they stated that they wouldn't do the work without "payment up front" and they would reimburse me later. This was done in December and I'm still waiting for my reimbursement that is due back. I had to resort to filing a dispute with my credit card company to get reimbursed. I have also filed a grievance with my dental insurance regarding their deceptive practices. My daughter also contracted strep throat 2 days after her procedure. When I called to inquire about this, they stated "there's something going around" and insinuating she must have caught it somewhere else. They also said one of their employees was out sick the next day and when I asked if it's possible that her employee got my daughter sick, she went silent and then said no. In retrospect, we also noticed several staff members were not wearing masks. NOT RECOMMENDED! UPDATE: Finally received refund check in the mail (3 months after procedure). read more

I was referred to Dr. Lee by my dentist for oral surgery. Prior to my visit with Dr Lee I saw a root canal specialist that poked around my tooth to find out it was a total loss, that process was painful. I needed to have my tooth removed as it fractured and also had an infection. My appointment was on Tuesday with Dr. Lee 3/7/17 in the morning I did my consultation and right after was put under general anesthesia and tooth removed. I woke up a little unbalanced from the anesthesia but was coherent enough to understand the after surgery care. The nurses were great very nurturing and informative. Dr Lee must have called to check up on me while I was in Lala land from the pain medication taken after surgery. Today is Thursday and I am following up with him as I'm still having aches this might be the norm but I wanted to double check. Missed a day from work, super bummed but I have to take care of myself just don't like being in bed when I can be at work. Someone asked me about pricing and yes it's pretty pricey but would you expect to anything less when it comes to your mouth/teeth, I want the best and I feel that Dr. Lee service was worth it, now back to recovering. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee's and have several implants. I have always been impressed with his technical ability and his clinical judgement. Recently, one of the implants failed and I got a small infection. I called his office and they gave me an appointment the next morning at 8am, when they opened! After his assessment, Dr. Lee replaced the implant right then and there! His office followed up with an aftercare phone call and I was even able to speak to him directly about a few questions I had. As a Doctor myself, and professional, I advise you to be careful of other services out there for implants that appear cheaper and easier. This is AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!!! 15 years ago as a teenager and limited insurance,I had one wisdom tooth extracted by my dentist and it was the worse experience of my life!! I have 3 remaining and they were beginning to give me problems. For a few years I ignored this matter and just toughed it out. The thought of having to visit such an awful experience, followed with extreme pain was nothing on my list...........TO THE RESCUE DR. LE!!! I searched Yelp for a good oral surgeon and am EXTREMELY BLESSED to have found Dr. Le. I had previously called a few other oral surgeons and there was always a problem "we'll make you an appointment in 6 weeks", "sure we can see you, all you need to do is pay upfront, and you'll insurance will reimburse you in 2 month", "Sorry, we don't take Delta insurance", etc., I called Dr. Le on a Tuesday in hopes of having the extraction completed that weekend. His office staff were very friendly and explained the process to me. I could have the procedure done on Friday afternoon after I got out of work. All I needed was to explain my insurance over the phone and Dr. Le would be able to complete my consultation and extraction in less than 2 hours. I was very scared and not looking forward to this torture and pain. I visited Dr. Le's office at 3:00 p.m. The consultation lasted 30 minutes where the office staff explained everything to me and calmed my nerves. I then was escorted into a comfortable room where I watched a 15 minute video that re-explained the process and everything that I should expect. I was then escorted to the "operating room", where Dr. Le greeted me and joked with me to relax me. I told Dr. Le that I was quite nervous with the entire process. He explained that I would be having General Anesthesia and that it will be quick and painless. He joked with me some more and explained that he would be giving me a shot for the IV. Once that was in, he said that I would have the General Anesthesia. The last thing I remember is Dr. Le smiling at me explaining that all would be ok. I felt like I closed my eyes for a few seconds and woke to the nurses putting new cotton swabs in my mouth. I asked "when are we beginning" and the nurse responded, "we're done"!!! I was walked to the waiting room and given my pain medication. The nurses explained everything to my driver and what my next steps would be. I went home and it was only 5:00 p.m. I had been anticipating that I would be in such pain just like I was 15 years ago in my previous experience. The pain medicine that I was on lasted until 11:00 p.m. I fell asleep and woke the next morning. I was in SHOCK because I was in NO PAIN!!!! I took one medication pill each day over the next 2 days and continued to have NO PAIN! I kept waiting for the pain to come, however, Dr. Le is the ABSOLUTE BEST Oral Surgeon in the Southern California and Whittier area and left me with no pain. It cant get any better....right???? I was still in shock by the amount of ease behind getting 3 wisdom teeth pulled with limited pain. Two weeks later, I woke up with a lot of pain and it got worse throughout the day. I called Dr. Le's office and his secretary got me in to see him later that day. I sat down with Dr. Le, he looked into my mouth, put his finger in my mouth and found the problem! I had a piece of popcorn that got stuck in one of my new holes and he pulled it out. I asked "is that it" and he said "yup, that's it"! I asked how much I owed him for this quick visit? Afterall, this was the only pain that I experienced and I was forever grateful that he got it to stop! Dr. Le smiled and said "You've already done enough! Thanks for coming back. You dont owe me anything". He shook my hand, wished me well, and encouraged me to return if I experienced anymore pain. It has been 2 months now and I still have had any pain or any issues with my wisdom teeth extraction. I can not RECOMMEND DR. I've always taught my daughter that being a liar and greedy are the worst character traits anyone can have. Bach Le has both of these poor character traits. The first tooth extraction was pretty bad & horribly painful, but it was what my dentist, who I trust implicitly, said this is who I should go to. Unfortunately, I had to have another extraction & implant, and made the foolish mistake of going to this guy again. Part of the (over $4,000) plan was I would be put in "twilight", which never happened. He did give me 3-4 shots in the gum line, so I would not feel anything, however when - what sounded like a jackhammer in my mouth & my eyes about popped out of my head- he said "I'm getting your teeth SO clean! They will be so clean!" Because I was completely lucid I remember all of it. When he left the room, it was time for me to leave. I asked the very tall (big Hispanic guy) if Bach Le said this to patients often and he shrugged his shoulders and nodded. THIS IS NOT THE KIND OF DOCTOR YOU WANT. Being a liar and being greedy are not good traits. He didn't show up on time, yet had an office FULL of patients, hence the greed. The lie has already been explained. Dr. Bach Le was referred to me by a family friend who is a retired general surgeon living in Palos Verdes. To garner complements from my friend, I thought Dr. Le must practically walk on water. Well, he doesn't. The good news is that as far as oral surgeons go, he's gotta be one of the best! Let me give a little background. I made a mistake of putting off my wisdom teeth extraction by about 15 yrs. Blame it on the naivete of youth but I gambled with nature and lost. My impacted left lower wisdom gave me a terrible cavity in the adjacent tooth (which needed a root canal) and my dentist said that all 4 wisdoms would have to go, no questions asked. After going through the seven stages of grief, I made an appointment for consultation with Dr. Le. He went over my xray and gave me some bad news that the tooth I had the root canal would likely be gone in a decade. The impacted wisdom had caused some bone loss between it and the adjacent tooth. Damn. *this is the point where I wish I had a time machine so I could have taken care of this when I was younger* He assured me that he could spare any damage to that tooth when removing the wisdom to not accelerate any bone resorption. Feeling very confident that Dr. Le knew his trade, I made the appointment to go under the knife...or whatever it is that he uses. My appointment was at 11AM. I was done before noon and my wife picked me up, 4 wisdom teeth lighter. The aftercare instructions were great and Dr. Le even called me later that night to check in on how I was doing. Simple awesome! My mistake was putting off my wisdom teeth extraction and now I may end up losing an extra tooth as a result. Dr. Le is a true professional. I had to do some serious work (implants and bone graph on 4 of my molars). The procedure itself was expectedly painful; but nothing out of the ordinary. It has been 2 weeks since the procedure and some of the swelling is still here, but the work is immaculate. I paid top dollar for the procedure, but the work is worth it. Dr. Le know's what he is doing. You really do get what you pay for. Dr. Le was very nice and took a personal interest in my specific case. He gave me honest advice. Dr. Le is a great oral surgeon and I would recommend him to anybody. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and it was a rather quick process. He knows what he is doing and does an above average job, in my opinion. I came out without feeling too loopy from the anesthetic, had little to no pain the first day, and never needed the ice pack (for swelling) or the pain killers. The office is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I didn't feel like I was in an oral surgeon's office, but rather in a regular office setting. The staff is extremely friendly and sociable. I'm currently recovering from getting all four of my wisdom teeth removed (it's been about 4 hours) I was referred to Dr. Le by my normal dentist and was told he's the best around. I came in to have all four of my impacted wisdom teeth removed. The staff members were ALL friendly. I was scared going in and the staff's humor and how they explained the procedure really did loosen me up and made me feel very comfortable. Before the actual surgery, one of the hygenists made sure my mouth was clean (to avoid infections) and was very kind - she asked multiple times how I was doing and feeling. She also answered all my nervous questions professionally and explained what everything was. Again, they/she made me feel super comfortable. I remember asking Dr. Le about when they'll knock me out and he said he was giving me the anesthesia now and I was out... I was very comfortable and I felt at ease. I thought after my surgery that I was going to be tired, swollen, and in a ton of pain, but nope! I'm wide awake, comfortable, and my cheeks are not swollen at all. I was given general anesthesia and I was asleep for the whole procedure. Dr. Le was very quick, and he knew exactly what he was doing, all four teeth were removed in around 45 min. I am very pleased with the work here. Oh and to top this great experience off, about 2 hours after the surgery when I was home I received a call from Dr. Le, himself checking up on me. If I ever need oral surgery again I'd definately make sure I come here. I'm so happy with the work! I'm so glad I came here! read more

This review is not favorable in the least. I too was referred by my dentist. I had two wisdom teeth extracted on a Monday by Tuesday evening I had pain, by Wednesday I had a foul smell in my mouth and the bottom extraction was hurting more than the actual toothache I was having prior to seeing him. I spoke with Dr. Le that Wednesday and he said it was normal pain. When I told him about the odor in my mouth - he also said it was normal....really?? I asked him why he didn't prescribe any antibiotics since he told me on the day of the surgery he was going to prescribe them to me (never received a prescription for them), I explained how the bottom extraction hurt and how red it was and again said it was normal. This is from a Dr that knew my history with prior dentists and my fear of them. So who am I to question the oral surgeon......I tried to tolerate the pain but by Sunday I was in agony. I called their office and all they could say that Dr. Le was on vacation and the only other dentist was a doctor I had never heard of before. I was desperate so I called my regular dentist and he immediately returned my call! Dr. Horseman asked if I was taking the antibiotics Dr. Le prescribed. I was never prescribed any!!! Dr. Horseman asked if the bottom wisdom tooth extraction was sewed up (so no food could enter and blood clot would develop). Once again neither of those things occurred; no antibiotics nor the extraction closure. Dr. Horseman got on the phone and immediately ordered antibiotics to my pharmacy - I had developed a dry socket. Dr. Horseman saved me from further agony. This could have been avoided had Dr. Le seen me that Wednesday but he only dismissed my pain. On Oct 27th I emailed their office telling them of my experience and that I was requesting to get my money returned to me (minus what I owed). Not once did they ever respond to my email nor did I ever get a call from their office. That is poor customer service. If you have an unhappy customer, client or patient that is unhappy about the services they received. What what should a business to about an unhappy client? I did not get a calI from anyone. So I had to call them and speak with their office manager, "Alma". All Alma could say is that she hadn't seen the email and apparently the office staff ignored it!! There was no apology nor was there any question how I was feeling (again this is an oral surgeons office) - their was nothing. The reality was they didn't care. This left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. To make matters worse I had to fork out over $668.00 to Dr. Le's office initially. I have MetLife and a PPO . They wouldn't touch me unless I gave them this amount. I am now trying to collect my monies back. Today I contacted their office and here's what happened: Conveniently, both their office manage is on vacation and their accountant was out. The accountant only comes in 1x monthly to issue checks! This was the last straw for me. When I explained to Bernadette that this was unacceptable. All this admin could do was to spoke over me and was very patronizing towards me. She did not care to listen to my frustration nor did it matter to her what my experience was. This person should not be working at any type of medical/dental facility. I will never refer Dr. Le to anyone. Concern for a patient, however minor the surgery was, should never be dismissed. Had their office manager reached out after reading my email that would have spoken volumes but alas, it did not. The lease thing they can do is to fund me what they owe me. I got my wisdom teeth removed last Friday and it only took them 30 minutes to remove all 4. All 4 was impacted and I had general anesthesia. Dr. Le was great. He definitely knows what he's doing and his staff, especially Carmen, was very friendly and knows what they're doing too. Dr. Le was very accommodating and I didn't feel anxious about the surgery. He even called me after just to check up and ask how I'm doing. I didnt feel groggy after the procedure and everything went well. Definitely referring my friends to them! read more

Dr. Le is amazing! I had gone in to get all my wisdom teeth extracted. I have diagnosed anxiety and Dr Le and his team was so relaxing and had me feeling at ease about my appointment. Even when I was super nervous, they accommodated all my requests and made me feel like their number #1 priority. The procedure went really quickly (so I was told) and I healed perfectly. My healing went so well, I hardly had any swelling and the gave me comprehensive instructions to have a speedy recovery. I honestly recommend all my friends and family to this amazing doctor. Day after bone graft and the procedure itself went so well. I was really nervous about being sick after the procedure. I told Dr. Le I have always gotten very sick after being put under anesthesia. He gave me something and said it would help and Thank God he was right. I felt great after and I've had no issues. He gave me a rx for painkillers but haven't had to use them. Have had swelling and some brushing but nothing major. He's so good at what he does. All three of my kids have had their wisdom pulled and extractions for braces. He's been amazing each and every time. If your looking for a Doctor who's skillful, compassionate, caring and professional, look no further. Office staff is great and easy to work with. Will be back to him in few months for implant. No worries being in his care. read more
