I'm always skeptical about dental offices. I've gone to this office for the past two years and I need to leave a review because I've had consistently good experiences. The staff are always great and everyone here is really efficient at getting you in and out without cutting any corners. Dr. Nelson is great, I don't come very often but he seems to remember me every time. He's attentive and makes sure I'm comfortable which scores major points with me because I have annoyingly sensitive teeth. This is your forever dentist!! I was referred to a very high end dentist in south Orange county, living in Corona it was a drive however I was hurting and I needed help. I had moved, changed jobs and therefore my insurance company. I went to a dentist that had been recommended in the Norco area and was not happy with their work. Unlike a car if it is not running right, you take it back - I was not going back for more of the same work! I thought back to the best dentist I had ever visited and I looked him up on the net and behold, he was in Whittier! I was so excited I drove to him my first chance. He took me in that day after a very short wait! Who does that!! Clearance from previous dentist was the issue, he touched things up and did a cleaning on the spot, with the best and careful touch that could be asked for! I found Dr. Nelson over a year ago. I am not a fan of dentist office and dread going to the dentist each year. I found Dr. Nelson when I had a terrible tooth ache caused by an infection from a previous crown replacement. My previous dental office (that had just down the crown replacement) said they had no appts available and that the pain was normal to just wash my mouth with warm water and salt. The pain was horrible and I was unable to get sleep. I decided to go to Dr. Nelson. From the very start, the front desk staff sympathized with me and immediately gave me an appt as soon as possible (even though I was a new patient). Upon arrival, Dr. Nelson took the time to listen and carefully explain what might be happening. Needless to say, it was an infection and I was very happy to finally get rid of the pain. I was referred to Dr. Nelson by Dr. Bock. I've had horrible experiences with the dentist in the past. Painful cleanings, expensive services I don't really understand and problems that just never got resolved. Although I've only been to see Dr. Nelson for my initial consultation, I'm already feeling much more hopeful. I had been to another dental office a couple of years back and was shocked by the estimate they gave me for treatment. I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years (due to prior bad experiences), so I knew I probably had some work coming, but the nearly $10k estimate was more than I could have imagined. I decided to stick my head in the sand for a while longer. When I finally decided to go back I was referred to Dr. Nelson. After reading the reviews and making sure he was covered by my insurance, I decided to give him a shot. And I'm so glad I did. He completely put my mind at ease. He explained the treatment he recommended, which makes sense based on the issues I've had and isn't nearly as complicated or expensive as I had been told. It feels much more manageable. He even did a good cleaning, which was uncomfortable at times, but nothing close to the painful cleanings I've had in the past. Dr. Stewart has been my dentist since I was 4 years old. He's a wonderful dentist extremely gentle and patient with his patients you don't feel any pain when he gives you the shot to numb you to work on a cavity. He explains step by step what he's doing asks you constantly if your ok, any pain during the procedures. Everything is clean and it doesn't smell like a dental office as some do I have been with a friend who I had to drive her over to a dental office and it was horrible. Dr. Stewart's dental office is clean organized and smells fresh. He even has a treasure box for kids to pick a goodie from after they're done. I recall when I was a kid I used to love to go to the treasure box :) I highly recommend Dr. Stewart to anyone whose looking for a caring good dentist they could trust. read more

Dr Nelson and his team are awesome. I hated going to the dentist due to other places always trying to upscale everything. "Oh you need a deep cleaning or a special toothbrush", this place just cleans your teeth. If you have pain they double check the area and while they're cleaning they always make sure your ok. Shannon is great also she's very gentle and also gives you some fun facts about dental hygiene without preaching or making you feel dumb. This is an old school office that doesn't try to throw in extra charges and actually cares about their patients. I've now got my daughter and husband coming here and they love it also.
