The demeanor, professionalism, skill, and techniques are all very impressive. Hannah is a complete joy. She has impeccable attention to detail. I've never walked out of an apt and felt truly sure every single aspect of my service was done to a T, but she does just that. Her skill and kind attitude are the best and made me feel so comfortable. She is an absolute gem and the Studio is lucky to employ her. Estela is a 10 year veteran of the salon. Her personality and diligent work ethic are extremely commendable. I would absolutely suggest requesting her for your hair needs. The brush technique and stylish flair is one I haven't gotten in the most expensive of salons in DC!!!! Remarkable! The salon is a one stop shop. From infrared sauna to blow outs, you could arrive in need some beautifying and leave a model! The chairs are so comfortable and automatic to recline into the bowl. How cool!! I only knew that I couldn't style my hair every day, but didn't want to cut my hair. Oh, and I was tired of it looking funky. After spending time talking with me, we decided on a perm, but I definitely didn't want a super curly one. I wanted loose curls - more towards a wave. Rebecca scoured the salon and managed to find the right size rods from other stylists to make sure I got what I needed. After she'd worked me into her day, I really appreciated the time she spent making sure I was satisfied. I absolutely recommend this salon - which is now Pure Art Salon Studios - and especially Rebecca.

They are taking covid precautious seriously and it is clean! I have been to this salon for other services: facial, nails etc and always loved it but now that my stylist has moved here, well it's a no brainer. As for the professional hair stylist: I have been seeing her for years and she recently moved to this salon. I should have wrote a review long ago about how awesome she is, but better late than never. Rachael Morgan is the most talented colorist I have ever been to. I have been to so many people who cannot do blonde highlights/color even half as well as she can. I either ended up with candy cane hair that looked like chunky stripes or yellow/brassy highlights that looked terrible. If anyone ever needs an expert colorist. She is your girl. The best part? She is honest. If you have super dark brown or black hair. You cannot get your hair this color. If you try to get it this color your hair will be damaged/breaking and still won't be this color. It's just not possible. She won't sell you something that A: isn't possible for your hair type or B: won't be what you asked for it to look like. If she says she can do it, she can! She won't take your money and shrug when it doesn't look how you wanted it to look. She says, yeah so that won't work on your hair type because of this or that but we can do this and this and that will work and look good. She will say things like, my advice would be this or that to go with your complexion etc. She is a miracle worker. I live in northern Virginia and I drive 2 hours every 6-8 weeks to get my hair done. She is that good! In conclusion, if you are looking for a kind, honest and most importantly expert professional hair stylist/colorist, she is ABSOLUTELY the one you should go to. She is professional and doesn't get offended if you don't want to talk. I have been to many stylists who wouldn't stop talking about themselves the whole appointment. Sometimes you just want to be quiet and relax. She will absolutely be conversational but is fine with silence too, which as many people know is a rarity in this line of business! Go see her! So glad she is at High tech now! I have added a before and after picture that she took today for me for proof of her talent!

I have been going to Omar's for the past two years or so since my freshman year at JMU and strongly…read morebelieve this is one of, if not THE best barber shop in Harrisonburg! Before coming to college, I had long hair and had been going to a hair salon in my hometown for years and was nervous about getting my hair cut any shorter; however, after coming in as a walk-in one day, talking with the barber I now see regularly, Ali, and seeing the vibe of the place I was confident in cutting my hair short here. After that haircut, my confidence was considerably higher and was definitely more comfortable with my hair. Since then, I have been getting my haircut with Ali who has consistently done a stellar job (my hair grows pretty rapidly so I get it cut on a monthly basis). Haircuts aside, the establishment itself is beautifully kept and always provides outstanding customer service, even calling or emailing to confirm appointments a day in advance. I have been and will continue to go to Omar's to get my haircuts with Ali and I strongly recommend for you to check them out as well!!

I visited this barbershop with my 5 years old boy for a haircut today 10/3/26, and unfortunately…read moredid not have a positive experience. The haircut was not done correctly, and I had to step in to guide the barber through the process. This raised concerns that the barber may still be a student or in training, which is something customers should be made aware of. Especially if they are allowing trainees to cut the hair of both adults and children. Another issue was the pricing. The website clearly displays a price of $28 for a kid's haircut, yet I was charged $34 at checkout. This lack of consistency is frustrating and should be corrected to avoid misleading customers. Additionally, customers should be informed that extra services may be added to the bill, even if they were not requested during the booking process. Transparency is important, and people deserve to know exactly what they will be charged for before the appointment begins. Overall, clearer communication, accurate pricing, and proper supervision of trainees would greatly improve customer experience.
