The employee I spoke with was kind and clearly told me it would not be a problem. Based on that, I drove over 30 minutes to the salon with my son. When I arrived, I set up my account, paid, and was ready to go back when the assistant manager, Sarah, came up and said my baby was not allowed in the back and I would have to leave and come back another time. When I explained that I had specifically called ahead to confirm this, she tried to tell me I must have called the corporate office--which was completely untrue. I repeated the exact number I called (the Pantops location), and instead of taking responsibility, she doubled down and refused to acknowledge the mistake. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the situation, and no effort to make it right--despite the fact that I had just driven over 30 minutes each way with a baby based on incorrect information from their staff. I also had to specifically ask for a refund; it was not offered upfront. Yes, I ultimately received my money back--but that does not excuse the wasted time, unnecessary trip, and dismissive attitude. The issue wasn't just the policy, it was the complete lack of accountability and basic customer service. If this is how new customers are treated, I would not recommend this location.

The woman doing my pedicure gave me a look when I walked in and said, "ok....." In a weird tone. She said she didn't know what I'd do with the baby, and when I said I planned to hold her she said she didn't think it would work and wasn't a good idea. I told her it was fine and that I was doing it anyway, and from there the experience improved. I wouldn't say it was a spa-like experience, but it had a very home-y vibe, like going to a friend's.
