My procedure has included multiple surgeries with plenty of scares, many which are nearly invisible. Although it is not an easy procedure, I feel well cared for and trust her decisions and expertise. My healing has been difficult, but I have never felt alone in the process. Additionally, I have been happily surprised by the responsiveness of the team. Messages are quickly returned and Dr Loyo has been very responsive to concerns and needs.

They had ALL my information. The visit was back in March. I just got off the phone with a collection agency. There are places that do this. Apparently, their accounting department doesn't have it together enough to send a letter, email, or call when you owe a bill. You just get surprised by a collection agency. It's just completely inexcusable, and that's an understatement. I realize this day and age absolutely everything is done by a computer and programs. Well, they can blame the program, but it should be their responsibility to contact someone before just submitting a bill to a collection agency. It's not, though. You just have to trust the entity to do will give some kind of notice. Well, don't trust this place. You can't pay your bill on your way out, and you can't get notification when they get around to determining what is owed. Such a clever system. I wish there were some way to hold entities like this accountable for their carelessness and lack of professionalism far beyond a bad review. Sadly, this all I can do while trying to provide fair warning to others. This doctor Barlow was nice and is quite possibly a great ENT. However, he wasn't worth getting a call from a collection agency, that is for sure. If you don't want to hear from one, definitely don't use this place. I received no letter, email or call. I originally found Dr. Barlow after I had some allergy issues and had a negative experience elsewhere. What a night and day difference. He was very attentive and did a great job helping me. Then I met Dr Green and she helped me so much with my hearing loss, and continued that great service as I had them adjusted over the next couple of visits. I can't imagine going anywhere else. They have convenient underground parking and an exceptional staff. One of the best/most successful medical experiences I have ever had. Count me as a customer for life.

I said I only wanted to be seen by a licensed dermatologist, not a physician's assistant (PA). I was assured that would be the case. However, after making the drive from Silverton, OR, and then entering the office immediately I noted the sole provider was a PA. I was not at all happy with that circumstance and politely made that known to the front desk receptionist. I then asked to make an appointment at the Salem, OR location, that time with an M.D. Although the Salem facility, I only later discovered, is staffed also by lots of in residence training D.O.'s . The aforesaid Woodburn receptionist, after some time obviously looking at booking schedules in Salem, said I could see on May 18, 2026, a one particular "doctor." I said OK. Too, based upon some earlier health care related experiences, I stated that when the May appointment date approached, I did not want to receive the usual bunch of texted repetitive appointment reminders. The receptionist's response was twofold. One, an affirmation I'd been removed from that text notification list. Two, that consequently thereafter I would be limited to receive one phone call?voice mail reminder. I replied that both actions were OK with me. I then sent emails of complaint, e.g., from within the Frontier Dermatology website. Still never having received the prior promised phone call/voice mail reminder, and understandably not keen on a repeat of the April 2026 experience, I phoned Frontier Dermatology. Did you receive it?" In turn, I replied: (1) Before I arranged to skip texts; (2) Regardless, I'd never received one; (3) Nor the April promised phone call?voice mail. From my first experiences with his office (on the phone with Naomi at the front desk), it was clear that the culture at his practice is to go above and beyond for their patients. I was in a bit of an anxiety-fueled state by the time of my first appointment, and had prepared a long list of questions. Over many minutes, Dr Hodgson patiently and thoughtfully answered each question, providing his reasoning each step of the way. He even went so far as to walk me through the many layers of my MRI images (which his medical assistant Daria had miraculously obtained electronically from a provider across town just minutes before). In discussing treatment options, he readily cited research and his personal experiences treating other patients with my condition, all the while relating this information back to the questions and concerns I'd already expressed. It was exactly what I needed to hear, and how I needed to hear it. On follow-up visits, I've been further impressed by his retention of small details from our earlier discussions (especially considering the large number of patients he treats). I've read that being a good doctor requires not just an understanding of science, but also the interpersonal skills to apply it. In my experience, Dr Hodgson is an exceptional practitioner of both.
