Admitted from emergency room to an overnight stay in the hospital. I couldn't have been in better hands. Both doctors I saw were super and the nurses were all angels. I was treated with care and kindness. Lucky I live in Newberg. read more

I got hit in the head with a hockey puck during a hockey game and was transported to Providence Newberg for a CT scan and stitches. From the moment I got there, all the staff members were kind, patient, caring and helpful. I especially appreciated the time the doctor took to stop the bleeding and give me stitches. My wife had knee replacement surgery here and all the staff were polite and helpful. Went to the hospital cafeteria "Ruth's Cafe" the food was good had a large Ruben sandwich which was excellent and a pepperoni pizza that was good. I could have gotten better in town, but being able to stay close to my spouse was wonderful. I appreciate the convenience and friendly cooks. read more

Dr. Julie Huber is amazing! She is the PA for Dr. Kris Moore. I had my shoulder done in February and she was so helpful in my recovery. She listened, took time to actually show me some moves that would help me not hurt myself (more) like just basic household tasks to sleeping more comfortably. I haven't had such excellent care in a long time! If you do unfortunately hurt yourself, go see her. She's awesome!!! read more

It's nice having a hospital in Newberg area and the oncology department is quite nice. I might drive the extra miles for primary care.

Lab work at 10:00 called within 5 min. Tech was very gentle with the sticky tape. He knew his job and answered my questions. I had a nice conversation with him and answered his questions about buying a business after he retires. read more

This hospital isn't really good,for example me and my mom went to the emergency room and she was having rashes until Saturday,they looked at one of the rashes and just gave her medicine and sent us home my mom was very tired because we waited at least in hour in the lobby. read more

Nursing staff treated us like family. Couldn't ask for a more comforting place to be when ill. They also know their limits and when to transfer to another facility, which was appreciated. ICU staff, particularly Sue, were all wonderful. Sue was patient and made sure my husband was comfortable and well cared for, even tho he was very demanding. Feel good knowing this hospital is so close to home. read more

This pertains to the occupational therapist. Don't expect her to care about anything but getting you out the door into another facility. You will get no physical therapy at all. If someone does happen to show up, they don't even identify themselves. Just put a negative comment in your file. And if you're not vaccinated, don't bother. You aren't getting any help at all until you get that shot and then they can't get you out the door fast enough. They don't care what type of facility they put you in as long as it means they can be done with you. The hospital should really take a closer look at that department. They do NOT help the patient. They do NOT return calls. They are NO help and offer NOTHING to the patient's recovery. I had to choose a star to post the comment. read more

I usually love this hospital UNTIL I was asked to leave the cafeteria and told to go wait in the waiting room. I was eating!!

I've had several opportunities to visit the ER and have inpatient care at Providence Hospital Newberg and have to say that each time the level of care was outstanding. The doctors, nurses and technicians have all been wonderful in how thoroughly they diagnosed and treated me and members of my family. Most recently I developed shaking chills after an MRI. I walked over to the ER and found I had a temp above 103. They diagnosed me with an infection of the liver bile ducts and sepsis. I was immediately admitted and put on high dose antibiotics. Within a day I had a procedure to remove bile stones which was causing the infection and liver inflammation. I was released the next day and was quickly back to normal. The staff was uniformly helpful and friendly and very professional. The choice of food is better than any hospital I've experienced and very tasty. Newberg is fortunate to have this medical resource. read more

We had 3 babies at Providence St. Vincent in Portland and by far had a better experience with having our 3rd baby at the Hospital in Newberg, OR. Big rooms, nicer nurses, and better care all around and took the drive for a couple ER visits as well and one time with a minor thing they checked me right in to the ER! WOW. At St. Vincent Portland one time I waited 8 hours to be seen! If you are on the SW side of Portland it's worth taking the drive to the Newberg Hospital it's only about 40 minute drive from Portland. I would highly recommend them they don't do high end surgeries like open heart and complicated things but for the basics or having a baby they are the best in my opinion. A+++++ read more
