Exam exam quality good, ordering eye wear poor
After completion of the fall period 2023 eye exam, I'd asked if it was acceptable to use my extant in excellent condition frames to obtain new lenses. The unequivocal answer was yes. Then what proved exceedingly disappointing experiences ensued. I'd simply asked for poly carbonate, single vision, tinted lenses. Over the next several weeks regarding multiple additional visits to the building I was subjected to a series of ever changing price quotes, accompanied by evident confusion among the staffers as to what eye wear features I wanted, even though from day one consistently I'd made it abundantly clear my goal. After the last unacceptable visit, subsequently I sent a detail letter of complaint to this business. I'd also asked to be mailed a copy of the prescription. The answer? Mere provision of the Rx, nothing else. And this attendant problem. It read: 'Single vision, Near Only, Anti-reflective coating, Trivex.' I'd never asked for the latter two features, plus Trivex typically is 2x as expensive as poly carbonate. So a 2nd letter was sent; no type of response eventuated! read more
