I guess everyone's drug needs are different I will say that you can get your prescription needs cheaper with Good Rx than you can with SilverScript. I have one prescription for Tamsulosin with the free coupon from Good Rx it is $15.31 for a 30 day script. Consider your paying $24.00 a month for SilverScript the same Tamsulosin script cost $23.00 .....that cost you $47.00 ....$24.00 a month for the insurance and $23.00 for the scrip, Where as the free coupon from Good Rx the script now cost you $15.31 it's cheaper ...no insurance premium and the script is more than $8.00 less expensive. This is a terrible part D plan. They have moved the best generic statin drug up to tier 3 so that they do not pay anything on the drug. I didn't find that this was changed until I received the drug and it has been a nightmare getting the authorized return label for the package. I was on hold or waiting for a return call all afternoon Friday and then they said it would take 3 days to send an email with a tag to place on the return package. This is far from my first issue with them but 2020 has been the worst for lack of service and "odd" occurrences that have delayed receipt of medication. I will definitely be finding a different provider for 2021. My hope is that this review will redirect anyone thinking of signing up with SilverScript as their Part D Plan. read more

I've been on hold with siverscript for 45 minutes listening to horrible musac. A rep named Maice told me to hold as she was researching my issue (the same issue every year) They are horrible!! Use any other plan but these folks...I'm just going to stop taking the prescription. It is the worst customer care service anywhere! I switched to SilverScript this past November. What a mistake! A drug that I have been taking for 10 years was a Tier 3 under Humana, and I was told it was a Tier 3 on SilverScript. When I filled the first prescription, it had gone from $45.00 per month (Tier 3) to $325.00 per month ... because it had been changed to a Tier 4. My physician submitted a request that they treat it as a Tier 3 since that is what I had been paying for so long. They denied that. That was bad enough. Then, I filled 3 small prescriptions at Publix, which is on their list, but is not a preferred pharmacy. 3 weeks later I get a bill from CVS Caremark that I owe $12.75 MORE because Publix had not charged me enough. Who ever heard of getting a bill AFTER the claim was approved and you have paid for the prescriptions ... and this bill is from a different pharmacy from that where you got the prescription? I spent 2 hours on the phone, with several different people, and could get no answers. They even said they had never heard of this. My next step will be to contact Medicare and see if they can help with this, since SilverScript is a Part D provider. It is the most insane thing I have ever heard of. Cannot wait until October and I can switch back to Humana! Big mistake on my part. read more

Silverscript Choice Plan 2020. Had these folks for two years now. Will definitely look for a new provider in 2021. One minute your script is covered, the next minute - poof, its gone. Silver script called my husband for his medicare part D and told him all his meds would be covered, but didn't tell him about the $5,000.00 deductible, 2 of his high cost meds are not covered. Up until today, I was very satisfied with this plan. Tonight I opened my package and found out that I had been sent the wrong dosage of my medicine. Upon calling in they said I would have to pay again to receive the correct dosage. Their error and the onus is placed on me. They now have to "review" the call. If I just called them to tell them that they sent the wrong meds...why would they think that I ordered the wrong ones? It is as if they think that everyone is a thief trying to abscond with their meds. Of course, we know that they have to throw them away when they are shipped back to them. Medicare for all is now sounding good..perhaps there will be some modicum of sense in how businesses function. read more

I had Silverscript for 3yrs, then they just turned Formulary 1 into Formulary #3 for no reason. They said the suppliers asks for more money. They were all generics. Crestor Xanax, etc. Rousavastion (crestor generic) went from $27 to over $100. Xanax went from $5 to $25 although its been around since Moses. Silverscript didn't even care nor did they make any attempt to get lower prices. I went to Humana and for Part D $12 monthy, a much lower premium, i got all my meds on Formulary #1. Horrible to enroll in!!! After having applied for coverage in May 1917, I am still waiting for my packet which includes my membership card, when I paid for June 1st as the effective date of coverage. I have received mailings for "Next Steps in the enrollment process", I have called 3 times, and have even been promised overnight mail, but to no avail. Yes, there is a grievance process I was told, but I'll just post this everywhere I can as it is easier than their system & probably more effective. read more

I convince my doctor to reduce my medication from 120 tabs per month down to 90 per month. I was hoping that this would also reduce my co-pay cost. To my surprise, it did not. Calling SilverScript did not benefit me at all. After being on the phone with the customer service rep for 20 minutes and he kept telling me that the cost doesn't change because it is for a 90-day supply and me telling him that it was not a 90-day supply but a 30-day supply. Because this customer service person was being very flip I asked to speak to a supervisor. At first, he refused to let me speak to a supervisor saying that he could file the complaint, I had to repeat my request multiple time before he would put me in touch with a supervisor. He told me that I would be on hold for 45 minutes before a supervisor would talk to me, my reply was I would wait. Every two minutes he would come back and ask if I was still waiting just to tell me you have 43 minutes, then 41 minutes. Now, I hung up and called back and 5 minutes' later I am talking to a supervisor telling my story. I have had it with this company and sorry I didn't change so I feel I've been duped. read more

Just started silverscript this year for my medicare part b having just started medicare. Called up and spent about an hour trying to get my blood pressure meds ordered. You would have thought I was ordering controlled narcotics. My log in, which I have written down would not work so I had to start over an recreate my login and, lo and behold, my account was there with a different log in????? Processed two prescriptions that were there, I thought it was strange that they were the same, but I processed them anyway knowing I would need both eventually. Looked the next day and one of them had been rejected without any notice or explanation! I can live with the cancellation but would appreciate either or both of the preceding. I am just happy that I do not have a list of medications that I require. I can't imagine having to deal with them on a continuous basis. Re-enrollment is only a year away. When I first signed up I did not realize they are a CVS subsidiary.....should have been more vigilant. read more

My Humira co pay has gone from 5 dollars to 30 dollars to 70 dollars in two years. The manufacture says Silver Script changed their higher tier prices. I had no idea of the latest increase until I went to refill it. I called all day Friday and listened to the same terrible hold music they have had for years. Never got through, and finally tried to order online. It would not let me, saying they need to talk to me about the increase, and to call them. Called Monday and gave up after an hour of listening to that stupid music. Looks like I don't get my meds. Next year, I think I may drop my employers medicare plan and find a different one to avoid Silver Scripts. read more

I had an opportunity to call silver script on 5/24/2017 @3:30pm to my surprise I spoke with a representative Name Maria Who was rude as rude could get. I called because I order my prescription through silver script you would think that they would appreciate the elderly better however I guess not. I speak with my HRA company who blows this company right out of the water totally no comparison called Willis Towers and Watson One Exchange They are always polite the go above and beyond to resolve any issue. So I hung up the phone and called them and because plan silver script plan is through them they immediately told me that they will call silver script for me to resolve the matter of getting an itemized statement. The Representative called and can you believe he actually to my and his surprise got the same rude representative so my point was valid. He immediately asked her to correct her tone so that we could get a resolution finally after an awkward conversation she changed her tone and put in the request for my itemized statement. Silver script should consider talking to there representatives I really appreciate Willis Towers and Watson one Exchange. I will be changing my prescription drug plan this year and I will be letting the company know ( I have my reservations of change but they will keep raising prices but service never gets better ) read more

This has to be the worse or one of the worse Plan D and/or pharmacy programs. I am finally changing because they hire stupid ignorant ineducated foreigners with unintelligible accents who also cannot understand English, cannot pronounce drug names, can't follow simple instructions (e.g., Please do not fill the prescription at this time, etc.), & they do everything possible to prevent me from getting my prescriptions on time, so, I run out of my medication. I am sick & tired of putting up with this company. In the all of the year I have been with SilverScript, ONLY ONE TIME did I speak with a literate well-spoken customer service representative. 95% of the time they are foreigners, 4% are uneducated people from the South who can't spell nor pronounce the medication, & 1% who are well-spoken educated people. I wm writing on behalf of my 78 year old mother. She has spent hours on the phone, many times trying to explain situations to them, they put her on hold, and oddly enough, a machine states "you've dialed this number in error, please hang up and redial again"...all while she is still connected to them (phone timer is still going and their number is still displayed!) On top of that, she went 6 weeks at the end of 2019 to prevent going into the donut hole (?) and she no sooner ordered her medication on Jan. 2. and they just told her she is now in a Choice plan and must pay $528. dollars for her medication up front~ she has now, today, been on the phone 4 plus hours speaking to so many representatives..being giving the above message, or worse, hung up on and she is now fit to be tied. I have been on the same 2 medications since my spinal cord injury almost 10 years ago. Now, I'm paying more for them during the first few months due to deductible, and for some reason, I fell into the gap in May, causing me to pay more. Now I have to have infusions, and they are flat out refusing to cover them. I will be looking for a better plan by a better provider. read more

SilverScript Medicare part D is the most frustrating insurance plan my wife and I have ever encountered! In attempts to speak to representatives I have experienced being on hold for over 2 hours, numerous transfers, call backs that are automated, leaving no information as to the formulary referred to... In my case with SilverScript Medicare, after adding monthly premiums, tier levels and copays, my monthly costs are more than pre-medicare... approximately $850/mo. (Several of the medications are already generic and still placed on a higher tier.) I have also spoken with my medical providers. My healthcare providers are physicians who are professional, highly trained and Nationally certified. They spend a great deal of time looking at test results to determine the best of care, in this case my medication. SilverScript Medicare tries to negate the results of these professionals. This has been a learning experience that has been shared with many others, only to find out they have the same frustrations with SilverScript. read more

Been with SilverScript for several years. Customer service was excellent until recently . Reps have become less competent over the past year & very hard to understand. ALL have heavy middle eastern accents. Out of curiosity I asked last rep what country they're in. She stated they're not allowed to disclose their location. Really!!! The worst Customer Service I've ever experienced. They have gone to an overseas call center & no one can speak or understand English. You often need to spell out words & they still do not understand. Many companies have gone to overseas call centers but SilverScript must have gotten a great deal because theirs is the worst. If you do get a rep who you can partly understand English they are just "screen readers" & don't understand your question. Read the other reviews about poor customer service & you may decide to go with another Part D provider. read more

Bad customer service, member services are all in the Philippines so they really don't understand a thing, no phone numbers that actually get anywhere, and if your enrollment needs to be fixed for whatever reason, forget that. Silver Script is the worst insurance company ever! In addition to paying a monthly fee, I am paying much higher prices for all of my medications than I did under my former coverage. During the 7 months I have been covered by Silver Script as my Medicare part D insurer, I have learned that: 1. Brand name Medication prices covered by my Silver Script plan are much higher ( Advair, for example, is twice as expensive) than what I paid under previous plans and the generic form of Advair is not on their approved formulary list and, when I asked about this, I was told it would be a year before the company would even consider adding the generic version to their formulary; 2. Total prescription costs (my portion plus Silver Script's portion) charged to the Medicare part D 'donut hole" are much higher than under my previous plan, resulting in my reaching the 'donut hole' level several months sooner; 3. Many of my generic medications are not covered under level one or two and there are no preferred alternatives at level one or two; 4. Silver Script's covered generic medication prices ( what the insurance company says are the portion of the total insurance cost which they pay in addition to my cost) are higher than the amount which I pay 'over the counter' with no insurance at local drug stores; and 5. A recent attempt to get a prescription filled for an antibiotic which I have used for decades and which historically cost well under $10 dollars was billed to me at $40.00. When I questioned the cost, I was told the price was so high because it was not a maintenance drug. While I have found that Medicare Part D is not a cost effective plan in general, because of high monthly fees ( or high deductibles) Silver Script is by far the worst Medicare Part D option I have encountered because of their profiteering and disregard for the welfare of their patient-clients. I now purchase my generic medications over the counter and do not use insurance, despite continuing to pay the monthly fee. I use Silver Script only for brand name drugs ( the math works in my favor when I factor in the savings accrued by postponing the donut hole). Like many people, I fill prescriptions abroad whenever possible, split pills, ask for free samples, and occasionally and very reluctantly skip doses or forgo filling prescriptions. And I very much regret ever signing up for Silver Script. read more

I take care of my elderly father who is on Aetna CVS Silverscript. I receive non-stop sales robocalls from them. I have contacted Aetna directly and confirmed that these are not scam calls impersonating the company, but are robocalls being placed from their sales and marketing department. No matter how many times I have contacted them asking them to stop, they continue to come in 3 times per day every day. If you want to constantly be pestered by robocalls, by all means sign up. read more

Customer service will not answer your questions. They put you on hold incessantly (10 times within one call to them) then return, only to not remember the question you had asked. They answer the incorrect question, give you inaccurate information and are adamantly unwilling to be responsible for an erroneous quote I was given. When I asked for a refund, our call was mysteriously disconnected. When I asked for a supervisor, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. When he came on the line, I asked if I could summarize what happened and what I am asking for, and he....yes.....put me on hold. Don't waste your time with them. If you are stuck, plan on your out of pocket expense to be much more than they say, as they will find a way to upcharge. And you will have NO recourse. read more

Dirty crooks. I feel bullied and raped I applied to Silverscript 2 years ago and recieved no info on wether I was enrolled. So I tried again and still nothing. In March I recieve a letter from Silverscript threatening to unenroll me if I didnt pay $300. Mind you I didn't know I was enrolled and never used the Plan, I used GoodRX the whole time. They then told me that I had been enrolled for 2 years. Even though I didnt see any benefits we came to a resolution that I pay double my premium to stay enrolled and by December Id be all caught up. I was invoiced to pay$100 per month starting in June. This was our agreement and if I were to miss one payment Id be insantly unenrolled. Good Deal. I made my first payment of $100. The following month I called to make another payment of $100 and guess what? I was told that I need to pay $400 or Id be unenrolled. Mind you the initial debt was $300. The debt was higher even though I paid. So after 6 hours of explaining to Silverscript hanging up the phone and speaking with different Reps, who all had zero recall of the deal we made the previous month, but they anxiously took the payment of $100. They just wanted the money dam my concerns. However, the very next week received a letter to pay $600+ in full or be dis enrolled. I thought maybe it was a letter sent in error based on my last conversation and current payment with Silverscript. The next month I go to make my premium payment of $100, but they said I broke the deal back in March so Id have to pay $600+ now or be cutoff. Recall I paid the $100 for the last 3 months yet my debt is higher and they have 0 knowledge of the agreement I made in June with their company not could recall last month. So I argued for another 8hrs speaking with different reps until one understood and allowed me to continue with my plan. The next month????? Yep you guessed it same ole thing they had no knowledge and told me my plan ended in March. Its now November and I was supposed to be $100 away from clearing my debt. However they wanted me to pay$745 now or else. After another 4 hours of arguing this new sales rep crew she renews my deal with Silverscript. Remember my deal was to pay the $100premium until the debt was cleared. I ask the Rep while creating a new deal, what happened to all my other payments of $100? Instead of understanding she found away to cover the $100 like this: She said my new premium is $73 and the rest was for late fees. So now im not even putting a dent in the debt plus its higher and I will be paying continual late fees for $300 of service never used. This is how souless the Silverscriot Reps are. Even though all had seen my previous payments not one intervened and corrected a clear wrong. The Customer Service Reps are a souless Middle Eastern people now I wish I could speak to just one American who probably could have fixed the issue in minutes. No matter how much or how long.you explain they will sit and.listen but sldo not change or intervene when they see a.clear error. I decided to give up and find another company I couldnt continue to allow Silverscript to run up my blood pressure every time I try to make a payment They are crooks beware and avoid this company they arent to be trusted at all and their Reps make silly mistakes bases on their misunderstandings of the English language. If one makes an error and dont correct it the next Rep wil legitamize that mistake against you. read more

They decided to impose a $300 deductible per year. When I called to question it, the agent barely spoke English. I had to repeat my account number three times. Even when she finally understood what I was asking, she had no answer. She just simply said, "you'll get a discount" but she didn't know how much When I went into a drugstore today to get a prescription through silver script it was over $100. All of the other newer prescriptions that you see on TV, such asGood RX or Single care were under 20. Be careful with this company when you are making an order for a prescription. Call the drugstore to get a price before You pick it up. Check with the other companies. Single care is free. Good RX with the gold plan is five dollars a month. Well worth it. They are extremely deceitful. Statement shows the plan paid 303.17 and I paid 506.00. Note on side (This is a reversed claim) meaning that they paid nothing and nothing went toward deductible. I was told that it is not covered at all but I am sure I checked the drug before going to them. read more
