    Park

I live near this park and frequently go there to walk for my health with my husband when I am not going to the gym. It has ball fields, dog park, paths to walk throughout the park, playground, skate park, picnic tables, benches, restroom facilities, basketball courts and dog clean-up stations. There is a vast amount of grassy areas and trees throughout the park. Parking is plentiful too. I love this park. It is one of my favorites in Las Vegas. It is taken care of and it's clean. I will keep returning for my walks. It's a gem!

Silverado Ranch Park is an AOK Green Space that's situated very close to the South Point Hotel and Casino. Inside this park you'll find baseball fields, as well as paths for walking/running/biking. Also inside the park you'll find a picnic area and a dog park; the latter is partitioned for use by dogs of different sizes.

Large park with lots of parking space. There's baseball fields and a play ground but what I like the most is a dog park

No grass in the dog park, no working water fountains, super disappointing. It's close by so we'll use it occasionally but there is so much that could be done to liven this place up and make it more enjoyable and cooler for the dogs and humans. And by cooler I mean there's no shade what-so-ever in the dog park area. The water fountains were not working when we were there either but we brought our dog her own water. I wish the city would take a peek at the Bark Park in Henderson, WOW now they put some effort into that place, I just wish it wasn't so far. On days we don't have much time this place will have to do. Thanks!

Fresh air, clean fun, escape the daily grind, freedom to just run and play! Does this ring a bell? Yes, but one simple question! We are in Vegas! Parks and recreation places outside we have those here! As a matter of fact we do! For those of us that call Vegas home some of the best parks and hiking area can be found in this area; and of course Henderson, NV! Silverado Ranch Park sits a stone throws away from the beacon of lights that shimmer on LV Blvd of the South Point Hotel. This park does not need to sit in any shadow it stands alone in its own righteousness! The park offers it all from skateboarding grounds, doggy play areas, baseball fields, beautiful trees, playgrounds, and even a bridge not sure if there is a troll under it! You will have to walk under it to find out! Tonight as most, I took the puppy for a walk here along the wonderful paths and grassy knolls we go. The nights in Las Vegas are usually what is locals have to wait for to be able to "go" outside during the day! I may love the outdoors; but I'm not crazy. In the middle of our summers it can get up to 114 degrees by 1 pm. By 2 pm, if you live this long let's just say not a good idea. As I said before this park has a little bit of everything. When the twins were a little younger we used to frequent the park so much more. Our early mornings and late nights were filled with jaunts to the monkey bars; and late night swing sessions. As they have gotten older we don't come here as often. The playgrounds here are amazing, but even with the canopy covers in the summer the slides can be 150 degrees. That's third degree burns. The weather is getting better here as we enter Fall; so the play is on! The Fall and Winters here are very mild so this is when we can come from the ac and enjoy the outdoors. There are baseball and softball practice here in the evening and weekend. It is fun to come and enjoy so many amazing individuals seeking their fun in the sun and cheering on little Jon and Susie. It's all in good clean fun. The doggie area is very pleasant and welcoming here. With areas for large and small doggies. While the pet area does not include much activity furniture for your pet, it is very large especially tor larger dogs over 35 lbs. The park incorporates more of a natural ecological setting for the dogs and their play area. I feel this is good, since we live in the desert leave the natural surroundings. Their is not grass here for your puppies just sand and the Vegas grounds under that. My puppy enjoys playing here so much. Usually she can play for hours; it's too hot now for her little paws. But here play time is coming back. Come and cross the bridge and bring the whole family they will love it here! The playground is fun for the little beings and us larger more experienced ones too! There are plenty of bbq grills, so stop by your favorite store load up he ice chest with soda, beer, and water! It's time for shrimp and steak to be on the barbi. The puppy can come bring everyone. Come on down the nights are better; and only getting cooler. See you there!

I've been coming to Silverado Ranch Park for several years, it's close to the house. It's a great park. Not a huge park, but filled with activity areas. A skate area, ball fields, a work out area, basketball courts, children's jungle gym area, horseshoe pits, walking paths, open spaces, lots of covered picnic tables and benches and segregated dog runs all make this community space a wonderful space to unwind and have some time outside. On 3 sides of the park are open desert areas and on the 4th side is Gillespie street. Convenient, easy to find there is always people here. The dog runs are maintained well, but they are all dirt which is a downside and on my last visit I picked up broken glass in the dog run. This could seriously injure any of the dogs running around and playing in there. While one can't control the actions of others, I can and do pick up after them. When I first started that project, I picked up some 500 discarded metal bottle caps. Those also could injure a dog or a person just walking barefoot in the grass or falling or just doing what one does while in a park. The skate area is riddled with broken glass, caps and just a mountain of trash. I've spent hours picking it up and filled many large trash bags over the years. All in all it's a nice park to hang out, picnic, play ball, watch a sunset and get some outdoor air.

    Small Dog area

Terrible dog park. No shade, no grass, so hot for dogs paws in all the many months of heat. The only reason i gave 2 stars is there is 3 areas separated for sizes and 2 of the sides are larger. They should really make this park better and plant grass. Save your time and go to Sunset dog park or Heritage bark park.

Came here to take a friends 22 month old to play on the playground before we began our 2 hour drive to st George. There weren't many cars in the parking lot but there were a couple of people at the play ground. One group of guys were just hanging out near the kid playground without kids and that was a little strange. The play ground was a little old looking and beat up but had the two play grounds for the different ages. It was a really nice park and had a different variety of people there walking or bringing their dogs to the dog park. Overall a cute place but they have to update the kids play ground.

While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.

This place is huge, beautiful, and surprisingly impressive. It has that rare park energy where you can wander around and still feel like you have only discovered about 12 percent of it. The grounds are spacious, clean, and well kept, with plenty of room for events, families, kids, dogs, festival chaos, and people like me pretending I am "just going for a stroll" when really I am hunting for snacks.
