Great small neighborhood park. Safe environment with tennis courts and pickleball courts. Mature trees for plenty of shade. In the back of the park, there is a large open area where kids can play football, or soccer. In the front of the park there is a play area with swings and other activities in a fenced in sandlot. There is a softly paved walking path that circles the park with park bench along the way. Never mind the review from Gertrude, it is NOT located in a ghetto, nowhere near that, it's surrounded by clean, quiet upper middle class neighborhoods. read more

It's a beautiful park to visit I come here often with the kids. In the summer months they have a splash pad that is awesome. There are bbq areas a walking path a few covered areas that people use for birthdays and play areas for the kids they have tennis courts as well. read more

This park is EVERYTHING. It is very spacious, very well organized in sections, something for everyone. I came here as I've been looking where to run. This park has a track around it that's 3/10 of a mile and ergonomically good for you. I improved my time and distance today, so happy I found this track! Besides that I saw there's tennis courts but also 2 courts with concrete walls for racketball! Yasss!! I'll be a regular here from now on!! There is lots of barbecue areas for families, also spread over the park. There is 2 playgrounds that look very new. The grass field is perfect for lounging or other sports. There's outdoors fitness installments and benches. A parking lot provides space for the car. There's bathrooms which is a plus. This park gets 5+ stars!!! read more

A nice average sized park centrally located in vegas with a tennis court and children's playground. Several benches and tables. My friends and I had a picnic here one day and it was a great meet up spot. Owners walking their dogs will pass by and wave. People are generally kind. Good shade. Would definitely picnic here again. Ample parking space for the size of the park too. read more

Cute little park & recreational area you'd probably never know existed unless living in the vicinity! One of my job sites was located within the premises, and it was definitely my favorite of the day & most fun/relaxed/comfortable. Did not expect to be doing work next to a children's playground, but I was very impressed by the abundance of playground equipment & how much fun it looks- kinda feel like I totally missed out as a kid, seeing this playground! There were a lot of parents w/ youngsters here, and everyone was so friendly & happy. I was extremely impressed to see (as much as it can be a pain for me on the job) that absolutely EVERY piece of electrical or telco equipment was barricaded behind steel cages- and painted well to blend in. You'd never really know a cellular compound lies within, unless REALLY paying attention. There were others utilizing the tennis/racquetball courts, and I think I saw basketball, also? But, plenty of courts open- so it doesn't seem overcrowded at all, and it was a more popular time, late afternoon just after school but ample time before dinner. Public restrooms, plenty of drinking/water fountains, and lots of picnic tables! The walking paths are nice & well maintained- benches along the way. And I believe I also saw a bbq? The parking is pretty adequate & very well set up with convenient entrance/exit access. It felt like a lovely destination for a family day at the park or gathering that can be fun for all. And let me also say- the padding on the surface of the children's playground area is HEAVENLY soft & squishy!!! Omg- for someone on their feet 12+ hours a day, I was so tempted to take my shoes off & fully indulge in that comfort of a padded platform! Rest assured- kids will fall & into total comfort! Why didn't we have this in the 80's & 90's on our playgrounds?!? But either way- I wish I could have conducted my entire job standing on that slice of pampering! The plaque up front suggested this is a Memorial Park for Bob Baskin. Very lovely seating area surrounding. And, I loved the vicinity because of the vegetation, as well. Plentiful trees & grassy areas. I could have spent an entire afternoon here. Oh, and they REALLY do NOT encourage feeding the pigeons! (3+ signs were strong on this specific rule!) read more

We were visiting the area and wanted a dog friendly park for our four legged friends. We found this one doing a quick search. It is very easy to find on Oakey Avenue and has several parking stalls. It is not a big park, but a nice one. It has a couple of playgrounds and several tennis courts. There are even a couple of courts where you could work on your return on your own or play handball. There is 3/10 mile track around the perimeter and along the track there are several bodyweight exercise stations where you could do sit ups, leg lifts, pushups and others if you use your imagination. There are also several picnic tables with charcoal grills nearby. This park appeared to be well maintained and clean. The City of Las Vegas has done a good job with this one. read more

Great jogging trail, tennis courts, and grassy areas. The playground is a little small, swings, and one slide/climby thing. They have a danced area with two stone animals that spray water. Their fun unless the big kids are unsupervised, then it's not safe for littles. It's on the edge of s nice neighborhood so I don't understand the Hoodrat feel. I wouldn't be comfortable here at sundown alone, but with the two big dogs I'm good. There have been park workers here every time we've come, and they do a great job of keeping it clean. read more

Very nice clean park. No graffiti on the equipment. Working restrooms for men & women. Lots of activities for kids to play on. There's also a splash pad with tennis courts and a walking trail. Park site back from the street which is nice due to cars passing by. read more

Renovated! There is now a water feature area! The kids will be able to play in the sprinklers beginning May 1st. The perimeter includes a walking path, and all the playground equipment is new! The courts are still there. There's still some construction, and this is not the best area of town but it's not the worst either. read more

Planned on coming here to eat since I have 2 little ones with me traveling from Cali. Didnt know it was closed because of renovations/construction. Had to goto plan B in regards to finding a suitable place for a toddler and baby to entertain themselves and eat. Would've been nice if it was posted online or on Yelp that they were temporarily closed for renovations. Then I wouldn't have had to change my plans drastically, and would'vehad the heads up coming in. Was very inconvenient. read more

This is a nice little park with plenty of things for the kids to do. Playground, splash pad and open grass area. For the most part it is well kept and not to much litter or homeless. Wish there was more shade tho. read more

I remember going to a park in elementary school on a field trip and thinking it was the bomb because it had a turtle and a whale that shot water. Growing up with Vegas summers you learn to appreciate little watery oasises. (Oases? Oasi?) I couldn't remember the name of the park or where it was and I mourned that I'd never find it. Then one day some friends invited me to Bob Baskin. There they were. I was 7 again, pushing the button and playing in the spray. It was probably kind of disturbing. Anyway, the park is nice for a Vegas park. Lots of grassy areas, mature trees, tennis courts and creepy bathrooms. And a turtle and a while that shoot water. That just wins. read more

We live behind this park and it is lovely. Nice big grass area to lay a blanket and relax while the kids run out energy.

I went here for a baby shower and here is what I found: 1. There were two racket ball walls and four tennis courts. 2. Large green area in the back of the park away from the streets. 3. There is a nice walking path 4. There is a nice playground. 5. I caught a strange man walking around all the cars "shopping." He particularly had a keen interest on my truck and what was in it. I stood there and looked at him. It didn't phase him, he proceeded to shop the rest of the vehicles in the parking lot, which included about 6 other cars of my party. I stood guard and waited for everyone to get their cars while he intently looking to pick something up. Be careful of your vehicles when you park here. read more

Small dog-friendly park with a tiny parking lot (two short rows- that's it). This is where many families congregate- there is a walking trail, tennis courts, small picnic areas, and exercise stations. The back of the park backs up to an apartment complex, so expect kids coming through. Usually there are other dog-owners here besides us. Once, an owner with five dogs had a few of them off the leash (there's a leash law here, BTW, but you probably already knew that). My dog found some food on the ground. The grass is not as green as it should be, but it's a nice little park. read more

This park is located on Oakey and Rancho. Right behind an old neighborhood. The neighborhood isn't that bad at all. It's somewhat close to UNLV, about a 10-15min drive. My friends and I go there a lot to play tennis. The courts are really nice and the lights I believe shut off around 10pm? But there's a button for the lights where you can stay later!! If you do however need the light to stay on longer, I believe the time limit is around 30mins-1hr but you'll need to constantly hit the button....it does take about 30mins for the lights to come back on if they shut off. All in all it's a good place to go play tennis at least =] read more

This is a great park for playing tennis. They have plenty of courts and they are fenced in so you don't have to chase after tennis balls. They have walls to hit against for practice too. It's clean and lighted well for nighttime tennis. I have always found the parking to be easy and safe too. Best of all it's free to play. read more

This is a great little neighborhood park. Honestly, more than I expected. I walk my dogs here frequently and see others doing the same. I've walked here after sunset and have never felt unsafe. There are frequently others doing the same. Lots of people with dogs; others playing soccer; tennis and racquet ball courts always in use, as well the playground. Everyone is friendly and respectful. And it's immaculate. Kudos to the park workers who keep it that way. It even has little rose gardens, which are blooming at the moment. Honestly, it's a hidden gem of a neighborhood park. read more

Really nice little park! The wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon to take our Pomeranian for a walk. It's a clean park with a lot of cool amenities! Tennis courts, a little water park area for kids, a bunch of BBQ grills, a running path around the perimeter, and even little designated workout stations along the running path for exercises like pull ups, sit ups, etc. Grass was well manicured, people were very friendly, and the park was quiet and cozy. There was a big family there having a BBQ for a kids birthday it appeared. They were swinging at a pinata hanging from a tree. :-) Just a really good environment and I recommend you go see for yourself! read more
