Bored dog at this park!
TT F.

Semi-decent park, large grassy area, lighted basketball courts. great if you want to have a picnic with children under 5. OR if your a teen looking for a place, like the "up stairs" to use drugs and deface property. NO wet play area. Limited parking. NO dog area either!! NOT much shade at all!!! Looks like once again, tons of wasted space and money. Henderson needs REAL people on the parks planning committee. People who actually have families and use public parks!

It's a relatively small park, but many of the essentials are there, including a basketball court, barbecue, play area for kids, swing set, and grassy field. On the flip side, it lacks a dog park and water pad, and the parking is very limited. As someone who lives walking distance from this park, I'm happy to have something attractive in what used to be an ugly, empty field. It may not be a full-service park, but those who live in the area seem to like it, as it often has more people than O'Cal down the street. Because it is such a new construction (2015), all of the facilities are new and in good shape. The lights along the perimeter will automatically turn on as you're walking through the park at night. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood, despite being on the small side.

Waited a long time for this park to be done ,finally love it bit crowded cuz it's new but good fun for all ages.

You can even watch them beyond the fence. It's a clean & quiet park, overall good!

We get these feelings of uncertainty and anxiety; it how we deal with this self battle that we come out stronger from. I have always been able to overcome anxiety by just being close to a tree, or breathing in fresh air . We were not meant to be penned up inside a building all day long with fake air. We need to breathe. Hence the reason we escape to the park. Living in an urban jungle where everything around us is covered in concrete is disturbing. We have to keep our calm be collective. When I'm doing the day to day movements of work, the mundane plain that we coexist in an air of chaos sets in . One can call this chitter chatter of fear or anxiety but just going outside enlightenment happens almost immediately. Take a brisk walk, breathe in and out. If you have not done this recently make time. A brisk walk would do you good. You can spent time alone or with those close to you. Get out and ride a bike or walk . I do enjoy the bike lane when I'm walking my beagle where there's less people. When you walk pass the bike lane make it all the way up passing apartment complexes it connects to the bigger road to gas station and way back to my neighborhood street. I get my good steps in for the day when I make the full circle from the park then pass the apartment complexes and make my way back to my place by pacing myself. Just make sure to do the run during day time now that it gets darker fast in the winter afternoon.
