    Playground w/ Splash Pad

Acacia Demonstration Gardens in Henderson, NV offers a lovely park experience with its open areas. I have deterred many of my recent visits to this park because of occasional weed/marijuana smoking around the playground. I don't think that's right to do around young children. the strong odor is particularly bothersome. Despite this, the park's appeal is clear, and given the growing residential area, adding another playground nearby could alleviate overcrowding. The park's popularity for birthday parties adds a fun element to its charm.

So this demonstration park is located in Acacia park. It is a smaller easy walking flat area with some labeled plants. Lots of birds. Even a bunny! The park has a dog park, picnic areas, open fields and lots of parking. Forgot to scope out the restrooms.

A beautiful little gem of a park, located next to the highway in Henderson. This place was put here by the city to show us all some demonstrations of desert landscaping. We all have to do our part and practice sustainable landscaping. There were a lot of cool plants and animals here. I will definitely be back for birding. There were some sweet dogs at the dog park. There are open green fields, a dog park, and a baseball field. A lot of the amenities in this park are heightened by the beauty of the park. Parks like this are what make life in Henderson better.

This was a super cool spot! We were in the area, enjoying the curbside life, and we yearned for a walk with the puppo. Stopped here to walk along the trail that apparently leads all the way to Boulder City and follows along a railroad. Super cool! In addition, there are several mini gardens and cultivated desert plants with labels so you can learn about some interesting flora! I loved the canary date palm. So many other cool plants - saguaro cacti, pomegranate trees, etc. It was so peaceful at magic hour with few people to disturb us although we were still decked out in PPE. The corgi had a wonderful time!

I ride my Ebike here as often as possible! I love to have my morning coffee sitting on my favorite bench in the gardens on cool mornings! The trails & the whole park is very well manicured, there's usually a staff member around which makes me feel safe, as I am a senior & ride solo! This place is a gem & I thank the City of Henderson Parks & Recreation Department!

This is a beautiful little park right next to a sports complex. They hide rocks at this park so keep your eyes peeled for some #hendersonrocks so much fun.

Acacia is a cozy park and demonstration garden a block away from Horizon Ridge. It features the typical park amenities such as swing set, baseball field, covered picnic areas, grassy field, etc. It also features two dog parks and the aforementioned demonstration gardens. A bike and running trail runs directly through Acacia, and you can often see bikers, runners, and walkers passing through. I enjoy Acacia park because of the demonstration gardens. Here you can walk through various examples of trees and other foliage which is native to our area, with plaques featuring interesting information about the various vegetation. Although there are numerous parks in the area, Acacia is one of a small number which offers a dog park. In this case, it is two identical dog parks. Although they aren't large, they do allow pets to get out and run. Overall, this is a great addition to the Henderson experience.

The gardens themselves are lovely. A nice little oasis in the desert. We saw multiple bunnies & chipmunks. Theres a dogpark in this area too only drawback is if you dont know its there, youll never find it. Id rate this area a 5. The playground was just average - a 3. Averaged together you get a 4. A nice place to play with the kids or the dogs.

You can even watch them beyond the fence. It's a clean & quiet park, overall good!

We get these feelings of uncertainty and anxiety; it how we deal with this self battle that we come out stronger from. I have always been able to overcome anxiety by just being close to a tree, or breathing in fresh air . We were not meant to be penned up inside a building all day long with fake air. We need to breathe. Hence the reason we escape to the park. Living in an urban jungle where everything around us is covered in concrete is disturbing. We have to keep our calm be collective. When I'm doing the day to day movements of work, the mundane plain that we coexist in an air of chaos sets in . One can call this chitter chatter of fear or anxiety but just going outside enlightenment happens almost immediately. Take a brisk walk, breathe in and out. These things can lower your blood pressure, stress, and inspire your inner greatness to grow. Let's go to the park . How many mornings do we take the time to walk and get in touch with nature. If you have not done this recently make time. A brisk walk would do you good. You can spent time alone or with those close to you. Get out and ride a bike or walk . Are you looking for your best self? Have you gotten lost recently and distracted? Do you need to soar high above the clouds? You can get in touch with your inner self with that trip to the park . Are you brave enough to go down the slide? Cross the monkey bars again? Do you remember how to swing? Push back higher and higher . See you are doing it .
