Getting around in style! So your looking for a tour guide to wine country. Well look no further than Silver Service tours. This is a solid five star experience. Calling us, then picking us up earlier than the slotted time, owner operator Steve was an absoulte pleasure to have taking us around in his Land Rover. With an extensive knowledge of the area and connections to what seemed like everyone, Steve showed us a fantastic time. During the tour we asked to stop in at certain places that were not on a pre determine map, not only did we get shown around, but we got to drive through some of the vine yards which was unexpected. A little tip, have a big breakfast, getting out into wine country is great, but it's country so there isn't a lot of eateries out there. Steve, steve, steve. You really made our Sonoma/ Dry River Valley experience. I am not known for extravagantly spending money. Some may even call me cheap. So when I suggested springing for Steve's private wine tour, my boyfriend and friends were shocked. 5 minutes in, we were all glad I decided to do my boyfriend's birthday right. Steve is obviously very knowledgeable about the area and has connections at just about every winery around. At all of our stops, he made sure we were comfortable and happy. He even went so far as to offer to pick up sandwiches in town when I realized I forgot to plan for lunch. Instead, he ended up arranging a food pairing at Lambert Bridge, totally on the fly. We were recommended to call Silver Service by our AirBnB host for our weekend stay in Sonoma. A group of us signed up for the Winter Wineroad event - and didn't want to be driving around the vineyards. This was the best decision we ever made. Hands down these guys are the cream of the crop! We recently had a fantastic wine tour with Steve and the Silver service. The Mercedes sedan was super nice and comfortable. Steve is extremely personable. We picked one of the wineries we wanted to visit, and let him pick the others. His recommendations were excellent, and he even set us up with a food and wine pairing at Lambert Bridge which was awesome! Everything about Silver Service was great- from booking our tour to the actual experience. I had them choose the wineries we would stop at, and they did a great job with the selection. Steve was very responsive and easy to work with. Our driver Patrick was the perfect balance of fun and laid back while keeping us on schedule for our reservations. He was really flexible when we asked if we could make a last minute change to our itinerary. He even went back to another winery while we were onto our next tasting to look for my friend's lost sunglasses. He also made lunch so easy for us. Having hired Steve and Silver Service a few times previously for a variety of celebratory events, he was the first person I reached out to when my son and his new wife decided they were going to be married in the wine country. Steve, the owner did a complete classic "bait and switch" on day of arrival in San Francisco. The promised services for three days that were reserved several months ago including pick-up, drop-off times and his S Class Mercedes Benz were not honored. Steve replaced services with a completely different company, pretending that the driver was an employee. Sadly, the new driver never received the well researched vineyard tour "wish list", restaurant reservations and isn't able to provide comparable vehicle. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! BEWARE!!
