Wine tasting fees are addl around $35-40 per person. Our last winery visited Paul helped us to get TSA approved shipping boxes which wine got home safely! Wish we could've stayed longer at Buena Vista and Sangiacomo. If Platypus keeps up the experience we had, that 4.8 will go even higher. Our driver, Gary, was personable and accommodating. He gave us some info along the drive to three boutique wineries, but did not drone on and on as some tour drivers can do. This allowed the 12 of us to chat, get to know each other a bit more and build some rapport. We stopped at three wineries: Rutherford Ranch, Ghost Block and Backstage. Each gave us 4 to 5 tastings. At Ghost Block, we also had a very nice box lunch. By the end of the tour (it was all day), we had all had some wonderful conversations and experienced some great boutique wineries. If you are in Napa, I highly recommend Platypus!

Ends up the property I rented offered a wine passport and we were to receive a discount. I called to confirm and they let me know the driver would apply the discount when we paid him the day of the tour. All sounded wonderful and was very clearly communicated. The tour in 2026 only went to 3 wineries. Two were just ok and one was not good. I don't think anyone on our tour purchased anything here. The time at each winery was like a typical tasting with some information on their winery. But no real information on Sonoma and Napa and the history of the area. At the end our driver had no clue on our discount and kept telling me he would get in trouble for charging me less. He insinuated I was making it all up. In the end he did honor the discount but seemed he did it as a favor not that it was a program that Platypus participates in. All in all I was disappointed in this wine tour and would no go on a platypus tour again and would not recommend them. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Luckily all the people on our tour were delightful so that made for a nice day.

I'd use…read morecaution when using a driving app to get here as we were led along a very narrow road through a local residential area with no room and switchbacks galore. Suffice it to say we saw a few locals along the way that seemed perplexed why we were driving very slowly through their neighborhood. I think that had to do with a bridge closure. Anyways... The return was not the same route thankfully. The park has for pay parking areas and what seemed to be free parking along the road to the park at your own risk. We found a spot in the paid lot ($10). Get a receipt, put it on your car's dashboard and off you go. There's a small welcome center and info at the entrance as well. The Redwoods are incredible here, some alive for 1400 plus years. You simply can't see the tops of the Redwoods from the ground. Truly incredible. The trails are well marked and it's highly discouraged to get off the trails as the environment is very ecologically sensitive. Unfortunately we saw some disregard for that. Stay on the trails people! You'll find placards noting interesting names and places along the way in addition to information about the flora and fauna. The history of the park and previous residents from indigenous peoples to the parks name sake are along the trail. It's an incredible park to visit and appreciate nature. The redwoods are incredible and certainly worth a visit.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds I've ever been to!!! Kelly and Mikal treat their guests like family. From the first time I called Kelly was so kind and helpful. I have been numerous times now and it feels like going to a little slice of heaven each time. It's clean, beautiful, quiet, and they live on site so if there's an issue they are there to help! The sites are spread out and spacious so you won't have someone right on top of you. The sites are kept up so nicely and the campground itself is simply gorgeous. The bathrooms are clean, there are several free showers, and there is firewood for sale as well. The town of Guerneville itself is only five minutes away, and there are tons of cute little shops as well as a major grocery store. There are darling little art galleries, clothing stores, bakeries, ice cream shops, coffee shops, etc. The ocean is only a 25 minute drive down the road. There are endless little beaches to stop at, as well as numerous little beachside towns with restaurants and coffee shops. You can spend a whole day exploring highway 1, then head back to your campsite to relax. I feel so lucky to only live 3 hours away and be able to head there any time I want. I'm so grateful to Kelly and Mikal for being so accommodating and kind.

Our trip to Sonoma/Napa was greatly enhanced through Denise's services and assistance. I can't recommend her strongly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The process of putting her on our rental car was painless (she did all the work), and from there she helped us every step of the way - from planning where to go, estimating travel time, figuring out our lunch, taking pictures, etc. And the price she charges for her services is more than reasonable. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone who is interested in touring wineries, but not interested in a DUI. read more

The cute lake right out front and once you reach the top of the tasting room, the million dollar view of the valley. Tasting room itself is beautiful which a good amount of the tasting can be done on the covered patio with umbrellas. The bar counter is nice as well but private rooms can also be accommodated. Wines were great and the service was a match. Fourth of July tasting was a success. Until next time.

I was celebrating my 60th Birthday with two other couples. On couple had been to Napa several times the other on it was there first time. Great time had by all. We went to some small vineyards you can't find in stores. From Champagne in the morning to Cabernet in the afternoon. Everything was perfect!

I was a bit in a panic because the driver I had set up several months prior cancelled on me. I called around and several companies were already booked. Paul's company was booked the Saturday, but available on Sunday. He went above and beyond and began to reach out to other companies for me and secured someone for me for Saturday. I didn't have to work with two different companies, all communications remained through him and pricing remained the same. Our two drivers (Burt & Steve) were on time, professional and super friendly. They had fantastic vehicles that were clean and more than comfortable. My friends and I had an amazing time this weekend and Paul's team made it even more special. I truly can't say how much I appreciated the level of service we received from beginning to end.
