The shoer I had used for 8 years Rod Haggie I called and couldn't seem to make it out for 3 days. I didn't want anymore damage and needed to work cows at pdrc Monday. As I need to sedate horse to shoe her I would not be able to work cows, and also had her shut in barn 24 hours a day to prevent any other damage. Called Pete and he said that he would come out and at least put shoe on bad foot. Said he would call back in 45 minutes after he checked his day and would be out to help. Well 9 hours later no call, no text, nothing left me hi and dry just as haggie did. From where I come from we keep our word. The is also a word called integrity. I wonder, does ol Pete and haggie have a clue of the meaning of that word. I DOUBT IT!!!

He made time to visit her at the hospital and though we aren't exactly in his route area. He visits every 3 weeks to work on our Bella. He does our Baby also with our special needs mate Phili every 6 weeks. We could not praise him and Heather his scheduler, more! They are wonderful people anx hard to find in this day and age. Just so happened, I had…read moreperfect timing and called to inquire on the very day someone gave notice, as they are full most of the time. The fact they are full most of the time says a lot. I have a sense of peace knowing my horse has eyes on him daily and there are folks there that really care. I reached out to the the owner Danica because my horse had attempted to dump his water and made a big mess of things. Also an electric wire had come down that needed to be repaired. I kid you not, it was all fixed and repaired in about one hour! This place is top notch. They're not just lip service at Solo Acers, they care, are super responsive and run a top notch boarding facility! All the boarders I've had the pleasure of meeting at Solo Acres are good people! It's a real pleasure to board there.

We had a great horseback riding experience! Things went pretty smoothly with booking (we called to…read morereserve), parking, and even adjusting when we were running late. My partner and I did a private Eagle View ride, and on our horseback riding hike, a couple of the staff members chatted with us while guiding us along the trail. My partner was hoping that they'd share a little more about horses or the trail, but I didn't mind so much. The staff also helped us take photos. When we got back, the staff let us hang out with the other horses past our hour, and I think we stayed for another 20 minutes brushing horse manes and taking pictures.

A gem of a human but also someone who knows A LOT about horses and can be trusted with real life, first hand skills. When I approached her about lessons, I was a mid 20 year old not looking for a competitive and high strung barn, which is what Sonoma County is highly populated with. I was still nuts about horses but didn't need the pressure and tension that comes along with showing and timelines. Phoebe charmed me with her lesson horses and comfortable atmosphere, so much so that after I had gotten married I decided to buy my first horse with her assistance! This process was rough, shopping was something I wasn't emotionally prepared for but Phoebe took everything in stride, never rushing me or falsifying the process. Thank god I had Phoebe with me, as I would have just given up. Flash forward, I'm now the proud horse mom of a paint! I would recommend Phoebe to anyone, horse person or complete newbie. The horse will be safe and cared for with pride. The price is excellent (includes twice a day feeding ) and the grounds are beautiful. Wonderful views of the hills and rolling grass. We took full advantage of the area next to their lake for both the retreat and then later fun with kayak's and SUPs. We used their beautiful manicured garden by the milk house for our evening dinner. Nicki and Evan were simply amazing. They recommended vendors and then worked with them on our behalf. Then, the day of the event they coordinated so much, even picking up our lunch! They couldn't have made it easier! I highly recommend this venue for any event!
