Went over to the True value butcher block. Wow am I glad I did. This place has a little of everything. Every possible tool, Gidget, and things you didn't even know you needed and they have. I was thoroughly impressed. My confidence level of doing projects now has greatly increased because I know just 10 minutes away is this outstanding hardware store. The people working there were friendly. I didn't have any questions so I didn't have the opportunity to see how helpful they are. They have a great selection of every possible thing you might be working on in your home. I went for a quick trip and was there for almost an hour because I was looking in familiarizing myself with all the amazing things that they had. If you live in the area, I need something to finish a project rest assure this place will have it. It also made me feel great to know I was supporting local businesses. I will be doing more of that and less of my purchases at the big box store before I come up.

They offered to upgrade me to a larger unit that was missing some functionality. I agreed. I had to call for pickup early to avoid additional service charges when a tire came off the rim. It was apparently under inflated. There were indications that the setup was rushed when they couldn't deliver the tractor I reserved, turns out that the box scraper was apparently installed improperly and didn't work well. I paid for a whole week but only had it for 5 days due to no fault of my own.

They had nearly everything per my "wish list" and beyond that offered better variety (e.g., in lengths of electrical wiring) than the big stores. Even still, while I was indeed amazed with the inventory, that wasn't the best part. It was Aubern that took my initial call and met me in person as I arrived. She very proactively found almost everything with a problem-solving-can-do spirit. She located items quickly, coordinated with other staff to confirm specs, found alternatives for the rare item or two that wasn't in stock, and helped me find my most cost-effective bundle of parts when all was said & done. In the few instances when a certain item is out of stock, it's usually available on my next visit. (I'm up here every couple of weeks.) I've always found the post's personnel pleasant and competent, quickly directing me to the aisle of an item I can't locate (if not actually personally walking me over to its whereabouts). Additionally, in some cases, they will also let me know if they are running low on an item that I may be needing more than one of since the current inventory is limited to what's out on the shelf. This was the case with some fly traps I came in for on my most recent visit. (I guess flies are a problem in the general area at present). Prices are competitive and I can often find multiple choices at different price points. The only thing in recent memory that I couldn't find there was an Adventure Pass for parking along the forest's roadsides or trailheads - but several of the other local businesses that used to carry them also no longer do, as well. Don't neglect visiting here first if in need of a certain piece of hardware. The store is not as big as the major chains by any means, but there's a good chance you'll find what you need without going down the mountain. That's a good thing to be aware of - especially when dealing with an emergency repair!
