Went to Silver Lake with my son after a volleyball game on Tuesday. He got chicken tenders and fries, I couldn't decide between hot weiners (which were on my mind on the way there) or a pizza, which I had not had from Silver Lake in a while, so I got two weiners and a small pepperoni, figuring I could take most of the pizza home to my daughter. What I didn't originally realize was we weren't supposed to dine in, and the booths and tables were roped off. When I expressed my surprise, the owner said it was OK and we could sit down. That was appreciated. The food was really good. The chicken tenders were large and the fries were hot and crispy, my son loved them. The hot weiners were good, there's not often a large amount of variance in this particular item, but they were hot and the mustard/meat sauce/onion ratio was on point. It what really stood out was the pizza. Medium thick, crispy, airy and a little buttery, nice tangy sauce and real cheese, it was the clear standout of our dinner. My poor daughter only had a couple of slices left when my son and I were done grazing. We kept saying, "just one more slice..." A great little neighborhood pizza place to get something good at the right price to fill you up. Support local, family owned over the chains any day. Quality and price will always win. read more

On 6/11/2021 we ordered a large pizza and large fries to pick up ; we were told 25 min it would be ready. My husband went to pick it up 30 min later and had to wait in line another 15 min only to be told they had not started the order. The woman who spoke with my husband was extremely rude and unhelpful (the woman who we usually see when we order from there who I assume is the owner was not there) The woman offered no explanation or apology ; I get it they are busy but cmon make an effort ! I was out looking for something new to yelp about, so I drove to an area in Coventry and did my little 'near by' search and came up with Silver Lake Pizza. Not much to look at from the outside, but inside it is a pizza joint, and that is a good thing. Too many places focus on delivery these day. SL does that as well, but you can sit comfortably inside as well with friends and family and enjoy the time. So the food. I have only been here this one time and only had Pepperoni pizza. The crust was thin, crispy and favorable. They told me that they make it by hand daily. The toppings were really good as well. Did not taste like they skipped on the product. At this point, I would put on the level as Kingston Pizza (Warwick branch). They also do Cold and Hot grinders, your typical fried items, pastas and sandwiches. Silver Lake Pizza is great. We buy lunchtime sandwiches there from time to time.. Hot oven grinders are always piping hot and delicious. I had foot surgery awhile back. I would order sandwiches and the great staff there would accommodate me by bringing our food out to car with a smile. A couple of reviewers gave them poor reviews because they thought the employees were a bit unfriendly.. I think they are quite friendly. They are mother and daughter..and they have been doing this a long time...They just don't smile much I guess. I suggest you try again and be friendly yourself.. perhaps a smile from you might go a long way.. you get more with sugar than salt ... Being from Connecticut, I was a skeptic about the quality of pizza in Rhode Island. Silver Lake Pizza changed the game for me! My boyfriend introduced me to Silver Lake Pizza a little over a year ago. I love the shape/size and the way they cut the pizza, as weird as that may sound. The rectangular shape provides tones of flavor-packed squares of cheesy goodness. The crust is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Typically, I am a thin crust kind of girl and Silver Lake won me over again with its texture and taste. There is just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Sometimes, other places will either put too much or too little, but Silver Lake has it down to a science. The service is always really great and the staff is very friendly. I have yet to sit down and eat inside, I always order my food to go. If you're looking for a pizza that will please the crowds, then Silver Lakes got it! read more

Was feeling a totally RI lunch- stopped in for wieners and fries! The cashier was extremely nice, talkative. The pricing was decent, they were quick and the fries were very crispy! My Mom kept raving over the crispiness! No complaints, it hit the spot! If you don't feel like cooking on a game night this is the place to go. Their square pizza is amazing, and it comes with plenty of slices for a family of four. There's always some left over! Just ordered 2 fish & chips dinners. Cost was close to $20. Two filet of fish sandwiches, per dinner, from McDonalds would have provided more fish. My daughter also placed an order and they gave her fish & chips to someone that ordered a meal and side salad. Their side salad is now fish. As of lately, the older lady that runs the place is increasingly more and more rude on the phone. Called today (Sunday) asking for a delivery. She rudely and aggressively instructed me that they did not deliver till three pm on Sunday, which I was about to follow up and say "Oh okay, thank you. Can I place an order for pick up?" My HORRIBLE experience yesterday. Walked in, went to the counter. (I was the only customer in the place), and said "Hi" to this old women with white hair. She completely ignored me, as if I wasn't there. Then she walked by me, again did not even look at me. I finally said, "Are you going to waite on me?". She finally looked at me and said, "I'm busy". Are you kidding me! Something is seriously wrong with this women. I walked out, never to return. I order from here, because it's very close to where I live... it never fails though no matter what the order is, they somehow ALWAYS screw the order up. Last night pizza was burnt. Last month Ordered a ham and cheese grinder and they delivered me a eggplant parm. ordered a turkey club fries well done, got a turkey grinder with no fries. While we often get pizza from Dave's across the street, we decided to try SLP and didn't regret it. Thoroughly dissapointed. I called and asked about party pizzas and generally how many people they feed. The woman on the phone simply replied it depends how hungry you are. This was not amusing. After being put on hold about three times during the call I decided just two large pizzas and a order of teriyaki wings would do. The woman told me my total was 27 and change and it would be 45 mins. I shortly later received a call back informing that they don't carry teriyaki and if buffalo or plain would serfice. I chose buffalo and decided on a ranch sauce. About an hour and ten minutes later my food showed up. The driver apologized for the wait and had my credit card slip handy to sign. The total was 38 and change and I signed off on $42. Moments after the driver left I realized the total was off and inspected the food. To my astonishment i received two party pizzas which were satisfactory but the wings were hardly luke warm and it was obvious by the appearance they had sat around a while. They screwed up my order which put a dent in my wallet seeing I was only feeding two adults and two children. (Which includes me). I didn't call back to argue because I received what I paid for even though it was much more than what I ordered.. 4 thumbs down from this guy. I won't order or recommend PERIOD. read more

They don't use gloves while making any of the food.. gross and is a health hazard. They don't pay their drivers much money at all. The mother is sweet but the daughter is highly obnoxious. I worked there for a whole two days before I couldn't take it anymore. They don't chip in for gas and only pay $5 an hour. Not worth the gas you lose. Silver Lake is actually really good. I don't know if they still do the cheeseburger buy 1 get 1 free but that deal was killin it because they are so good! As I was leaving I always say I wanna check out silver Lake pizza so I did. Tight parking some guy decided to take up two spaces so I went across the street to the Plaza and walked across. I like to come into the smaller pizza shops always better service and food is great. Got the 12 inch Italian grinder small fry and soda. Great food and fast service.
