I had a 1 PM appointment and he didn't end up cutting my hair until 1:20 or so, rather than get upset I appreciated that he didn't rush through his previous appointments hair cut. He is by appointment only so make sure you call ahead. As far as his price I found him to be a little higher than my previous barber who charges 20 for a men's cut but for the location (he's in the heart of downtown) it's not unreasonable and he has a square reader in case you don't have cash. Upon entering I felt at home and sensed a very positive and creative energy right off the bat. The space felt very comfortable as I was enjoying the music while waiting for my appointment. My stylist Shep and all of the staff took time to greet me upon arrival and were very cordial. In hindsight I was very fortunate to be able to schedule my first appointment with Shep. He was very personable, approachable, and really took time to listen and ask me what I was envisioning for my haircut. I told Shep that I didn't have a very clear idea of what I wanted and asked if He could just follow his intuition and creative vision. I'm really glad that I handed him the keys of the car so to speak. Shep didn't seem rushed or wanting to buzz me and get me out the door. It was evident that He approached his craft with a creative conviction and aesthetic like a painter or musician. Needless to say, I was very happy with my haircut. It really exceeded my expectations. My wife loved the haircut immediately at first sight which says quite a lot about the quality and craftsmanship of Shep's work. Got my haircut done by Sarah who was fantastic. She did a great job and was very friendly. The location was convenient and clean. My haircut was probably one of the best cuts I've ever had.
