We absolutely loved this place. Stopped in for an early dinner while we were traveling to Yellowstone. We sat outside in the courtyard (highly recommended) on a beautiful day. Our waitress was great; prompt, courteous and very helpful. She recommended the burgers and the cod. I tried the Cod fillet and chips. Outrageous! Perfectly cooked and good quality fish. We also had several burgers and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Try the Fire Burger. They have a large and local beer selection which rounded out a great experience. Service was a little slow, it took a quite a few minutes for staff to wait on us, and to check on us after food was served. We sat outside on their patio, cool atmosphere and it's right on the main drag so interesting to watch the people/traffic go by. I had the mushroom swiss burger with ff, hubby had wings. Just great. Because we were with my underage daughter, we sat in the courtyard outside, but that was super fun anyways. Beer is wonderful everywhere, here as well. But the burgers were extraordinary. My wife got a cheese burger and she loved it (dies not ordinarily order burgers), but my Black and Blue burger was amazing. We walked here from The Irma Hotel. We waited for about 20 minutes and never acknowledged so went inside to inquire whether we were to order at counter or just what. The 1st guy said "not your bar tender - figure it out. The waitress said I'll get to you when I can. After another few minutes we left. Upon arrival in Cody we thought we would visit a home town business for a drink & a quick snack. The waitresses were attentive & prompt with service. However, after waiting an hour we still had not gotten our appetizers. The waitress told us they had a new cook who wasn't up to par yet. Got to the bar around lunch time. A guy came to serve us with a mad attitude. The waiter told us that the food would take around 90 minutes to make, and we waited. The food came, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken was very dry to be honest. We sat at an outdoor table. It started raining when we were about to ask for the check. We patiently waited for 10 minutes for the waiter as the rain got bigger and bigger. I couldn't wait anymore because it was literally pouring outside. I went inside the bar and asked for the check. The waiter literally wrote a number on a piece of paper and told me that that's my total. My dad paid for it and tipped him 15%. So when we sat ourselves, as is apparently the custom there, and didn't even get greeted for literally 20 minutes I approached the bar and asked if we were going to get service. One of the few games in town. Have to drink somewhere though and the silver dollar is a good place. Locals too so you know it's "authentic?" Always end up here in town for work blowing off steam. Reasonable prices. The state flags are a nice touch in my opinion. Pool tables in the back. Can bring in food if you wanted, Domino's pizza etc. Full bar. Oh Silver Dollar how I dream of you while I'm home in San Diego! Every year we make sure to get a burger or two here! It's no frills and no fuss but the food is dang good and the beer is cheap! Sometimes there's love music! Kid friendly on the patio. Do yourself a huuuuugggeeee favor and get the onion rings instead of the fries. Fries are lacking but the onion rings are perfection! What a great place! This is one of my favorite bars in Cody. Our server was very prompt and friendly, my beer glass was never empty without a new one standing by. She recommended a regional brew to me that I'd never had (I forget the name at the moment) and when I took the first sip I found that she got my taste in beer down perfectly -- it was exactly what I was looking for. The burgers are big and delicious, one of the top burgers I've had. The bar also has a spacious back room with pool tables, air hockey, and other games. We stopped in one night for a quicker dinner and a few drinks. I got a burger and fries - very high quality. Large and juicy burger with a generous portion of fries. Eventually we were greeted by a lovely waitress who advised it would be an hour and a half before we got our food. We left and came back for diner at 5:30 we're served within 15 min and loved the burgers! So juicy! Which was fine just dirty. Clean tables are hard to come by. The beer was fine, but if you want a glass of wine - they will pour it right out of a box. Very limited options.
