This is a stop you must make when in Lusk. This place has a second name and it holds true for the owner, Scrappy is real. He kept the name so he didn't have to reapply for a bar license but added his name for the food. It's really Scrappy's. The beer is cheap, the food (try the pizza or burgers) was great and the conversation truly enjoyable. Being from a non smoking state, smoking patrons, reminded me why our state banned indoor smoking. read more

The steak dinner was great. Nothing fancy, but great ingredients and preparation. The salad was iceberg lettuce based with red cabbage. Again, nothing fancy, but very fresh and refreshing. They served a mountain of nicely crisped waffle fries. The steak was perfectly done and very flavorful. Note that Wyoming permits smoking in bars. We asked for the non-smoking section and the staff even turned on the building's exhaust fan to minimize the smoke. I'm normally very sensitive to smoking but with the staff's accommodations it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. read more

The Silver Dollar was recommended by our hotel for the "good ribeye" so my wife was on it. It was a typical small town bar-restaurant, lots of locals and bikers on the way to Sturgis. The bar tender/server was very attentive. Nice beer selection, except they were out of their one IPA. The menu was bar food, burgers and steaks. We had jalapeño poppers with our beers, very good! My wife's salad was very nice and her steak as tasty if a bit tough. My mushroom, Swiss burger was very good. It really stuffed the bun and was cooked perfect. My biggest complaint was the bun, it fell apart with the burger and all the fixings. Nice for a small town bar-restaurant. read more

Worst experience. Check out my check in. Picture a bunch of drunk women all upset picking fights with others. A bartender stomping around with a bat. Damage done to doors, people yelling, whining and screaming. Ridiculous. Police present and us begging for a check. One particularly nasty specimen would yell at anyone walking in with a mask telling them to take it off "Rona is a bs hoax to get Trump out of office". Then would go and tell more directly at them. Hated it here today. Swiss mushroom burger was pretty good (boxed it for eating elsewhere. Philly cheesesteak was super delicious but strongly believe it's the frozen kind from Costco( which we like anyway). We've been here before on our way to Sturgis. Tonight was significantly different, maybe if you go the day time would feel safer. read more

Ordered take-out on at 7 PM on April 30, 2020. Burger arrived with a thumb print in the bun (pictured) and the home chips had melted through the container (also pictured). Definitely room for improvement. The food tasted great, but thumb prints, melted containers and an apparent lack of attention to detail or pride in their product doesn't do much for the experience. It's too bad, because we would prefer to support local businesses. read more

We were passing through town, needed dinner, and took a chance on good bar food. And are we glad we did! We both had burgers, fries, and shared a side of onion rings. The food was great and came out quickly. Everything tasted fresh, burgers were huge, fries and rings were delicious. The staff were very friendly and checked in with us several times to make sure we were doing well. An additional plus, the bathrooms were very clean with extra amenities in the ladies room. I always feel a clean bathroom is a very good sign in the restaurant business. Highly highly recommended if you need a quick bite to eat. We didn't drink there but the bar looked fun, too. read more

Great little bar and grill with a good vibe and friendly service. I got the "Gunslinger" sandwich for lunch which was 2 chicken tenders, bacon and Swiss on a bun. They were 2 very large tenders and were topped off with pickle, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I was very pleased with our little stop on the way through Lusk. Haven't been put West since a couple family vacations when I was a kid, even called my dad while here to reminisce. :) I definitely recommend The Silver Dollar Bar for a laid back lunch! read more

Came in from a long drive and asked 40 minutes before closing if they were still serving food. The girls at the bar were nice enough, asking the cook if she would serve us. She, howecer, just kept looling at us and not answering. One bartender came back and asked what we wanted. We didn't kniw, hoe could we? We said "amything, sustenance?" Still no answer, so we left. Apparently one of the girls felt bad maybe, because she came out to the car to tell us where else we could try. Instead we went to the gas station for pizza. I guess they don't need the business, so that is a good problem to have. read more

This is a decent place for a burger and fries. The burger was great, hand pressed, fresh tomato, lettuce, pickles, and a nice bun. The fries weren't greasy and there were more than enough of them. It's important to understand that this is a bar with bar food, good bar food, lots of fried stuff, (they do offer steaks as well). Another thing to keep in mind if traveling is that north and south there is virtually no where to eat for at least sixty miles in either direction. We did not eat here so it is probably not fair for me to be giving it a review. However, we walked in to try to get a table and found it to be 21 and over only; we could not stay because we had our children with us. Based on a quick visit I did notice that the tables in the bar and restaurant were filthy and several patrons were clearly drunk. One man stood in the middle of the restaurant staring at me and would not move out of my way as I tried to walk around the bar. Another leered at my teenage daughter. This may be a great place for a group of rowdy bikers but is not the place for a family dinner. read more

My husband's steak was delicious and my burger was very good. But I'm so missing good, fresh veggies and ones that aren't overcooked. I haven't seen much of those since we left California on this roadtrip. His steak was offered with Tater Tots, surely the same little over-processed nuggets that are in the frozen food section of the supermarket, and canned green beans.
