This was a fun little experience for us... We love dive bars, so we were looking for a dive bar with good food. This hit the mark. The three-quarter pound burgers were giant and truly delicious as were their onion rings... Crispy and greasy - just the way I like them. Nice selection of local WY beers. We tried two of them. The place is dimly lit and not much to write home about, but that's what we expect from a dive: we loved it! If you are pretentious &/or woke, go away: this is NOT YOUR place. This is a down-home, locals hangout with the coolest local patrons and an hysterical bartender (she was awesome). In fact the day that we came, she was talking about a TikTok warning that the US was going to be bombed by Iran and the locals sitting at the bar were giving her a hella hard time about it - we sort of joined the comedy show as "table number six" (which is how the bartender referred to us throughout our visit) as we laughed along with them, giving this good natured bartender a hard time about the TikTok news; bantering back and forth about how much time we have left before Lusk was bombed . We left in a really good mood and we can't wait to go back - presuming the building is still standing (after we left to get out of Dodge before the 5 1/2 hour timeline before the bomb dropped. LMAO)! Stopping at The Pub has become our road trip tradition when heading west. The 3/4# burgers are amazing! I had a green chili burger this time and it as delish. Messy - but that's how I like my burgers! My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and he said it was great, too. A fun little extra... you can smoke in the bar! My husband brought a cigar so he could enjoy it indoors for a change. That being said, The Pub is well ventilated and is not smoky. I know that's really important to some. Had the Cajun burger with bacon, it was 3/4 lb of tasty burger. Loved this burger and wife really enjoyed the kick burger. If we travel through Lusk again will definitely stop again, Connie was a great bar tender. The place is great! Stop by every year heading to Sturgis. The food and drink are on point.

Simple bar with locals at the bar and just us Aussies. Nice laid back atmosphere. One of the locals wandered over to say 'Hi' and asked where we were from and where we were going next. Very subdued and relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday night with football on the TV and a handful of patrons. Burgers, sandwiches and the usual range of appetisers. Waitress was also doing the bar and cooking the meals but it didn't take long at all. We had a burger and had read it was large so split one with a side serve of onion rings. The meal + 1 wine + 2 beers was less that $25. Can't complain about that! read more

Best burgers in the area, hands down. Nice small town bar, with great food, and a pretty good beer selection. Tends to serve mostly the smalltown and rancher crowd, but the jukebox don't stop if you want something other than Bud, Coors or Jack Daniels. The burgers are AMAZING. 2/3 or 3/4 pound of fresh local beef. It has FLAVOR. Many choices on toppings as well. Standard bar appetizers which have all been good in my visits. read more

It's exactly what you would expect it to be, and that's perfectly okay considering it is what you'll find on the road to Mt. Rushmore. Right off the two lane highways you take for pretty much the large majority on the way up, you can stop here and get a good burger and some nice small town America while you dine. Don't expect fancy and don't try to get fancy, because that's where you might get disappointed. There are fly swatters on the wall and the smell of smoke in the air, but the bartender is your waitress too, and she's very friendly, and the burger is huge and better than it needs to be. We were driving through and were looking for some good food. The atmosphere is a little rough. It is a great biker bar. There is a strong smell of smoke when you go in. We ordered a "Burrito" and the sandwich with chicken fried steak. The lady behind the bar, who also cooked the food, was great. She was very nice and we were surprised how well she treated us. The "Burrito" was actually two fried chimichangas. I don't know if it was a mistake or just what they call a burrito. Regardless, it was a pretty good dish. The chicken fried steak sandwich had onions, bacon, and swiss cheese on it. It came with a heaping pile of fries. When she brought my sandwich, she apologized and said she overcooked it. She said it was the last one or would have redone it. She offered to make something else if it was too overdone. The sandwich was overdone, but will still very good flavor wise. She felt bad at the end and didn't change for the sandwich. If you are looking for some good cheap food in the town, stop by. Don't be deterred by the atmosphere or look from the outside, give it a shot. read more

Huge burger, it was o.k. Got the mushroom and Swiss. It had 3 or 4 mushrooms and a half slice of Swiss. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere, lots of cigarette smoke and o.k food, this is the place. I'll pass. read more
