So beautiful here! We were greeted at the front desk by Latizia! She is awesome! Thank you for making our stay fantastic!

Damaged key fob

On April 11th I went to Copper & Salt, an establishment located at the Silver Cloud Hotel. I used the valet at the Silver Cloud Hotel and had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. I brought my McLaren GT (a $260,000 vehicle) and entrusted it to their valet service. That night, their porter Sage dropped and visibly damaged my key fob right in front of me - and admitted to doing so on the spot. I reported the issue immediately and was told to contact Kim Straight, the general manager. Despite the clear evidence, admission, verbal and written acknowledgment, Kim made me jump through unnecessary hoops, placing the burden on me and demanding proof of purchase for my fob that they damaged! What really frustrated me was the fact it was a key fob where most individuals would not have a receipt for, but nonetheless, I provided everything they asked for and for over a month I was strung along. I provided bank statements showing the purchase and even eventually got an invoice which I emailed to Kim. Each time she acknowledge, apologize and assured that everything would be taken care of. However, this morning I received an email this morning saying they conducted a "thorough investigation" and found no "validity" to my claim - completely reversing what was already admitted. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. If you're bringing a high-end vehicle or simply expecting accountability and integrity from hotel staff, look elsewhere. Silver Cloud Hotel failed in customer service, responsibility, and basic professionalism. To top it off, I was told to file a claim through my insurance after a month of back-and-forth and Kim assuring me everything would be handled. I plan to pursue this further as I wonder how they treat individuals who are less fortunate that dine and stay at their establishment. Stringing them along, lying and hoping they will just disappear is so disappointing, especially at an establishment where I have spent thousands of my hard earned dollars. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The hotel is gorgeous from the water front

Amazing! The waterfront view King bedroom was gorgeous! The walk-in shower is my dream! Hotel room was clean. HUGE TV ! We booked the spa package for my wife's birthday. The spa was phenomenal! Quiet and clean. Massage was soooooo necessary for our "staycation"!

10/10 would recommend. A beautiful hotel right on the water in Point Ruston. Everything you need is right there. There are restaurants, movie theaters and so much outdoor space available! I visited on a business trip but plan to come back and stay again for pleasure. Hotel is very clean, comfortable and quiet.

Terrific hotel with wonderful views of Puget Sound. No better way to wake up or drift off than with rippling water, gorgeous sunrise/sunset and the occasional spotting of seals at play. The gym is great and the room was comfortable with plenty of amenities. I'd definitely stay here again, even though parking was a pain. You must valet.

We are guest there for 3 weeks if the room a little messy it's understandable. But if people know me they know I am clean as a freak. Some call me OCD. How can you do this to us? A family of 4 with a special kid ( my son is autism with level 3). Ryan ( the director) told a valet guy to called my husband in to talked to him how thoughtful. My husband still went in happily ( I knew something coming up because this is not how you deal with your guest). I went in right after and already there a conflict my husband said they kicking us out I was like what? What did we do? At that time, I have already feel like a criminal. For the way he talked to us. Where the conversation happened. He couldn't lead us to somewhere quiet and told my husband what happened. Where he talked to my husband was the lobby in front of all the other guest and all the employer He even said worst things which really racist. Please don't go to SILVER CLOUD Ruston point the new location please don't. I actually had my friends booked there. Also my family bc I love the place so much but after today...... Ps: and the worst thing is that, few people works in there told us if we are white we would get over anything Only because O stars isn't a thing 1 star for you guys is too much

Mixed reviews. The bain of a existence for a company! But as a previous business owner it's an -opportunity- for improvement. And this place has potential -it just isn't there yet. Good stuff: Beautiful views Great bathtub jacuzzi Polite staff from front to back Comfy bed Aveda amenities CLEAN! The NOT a good stuff: -NOT a good value!! At over $350 a night for my room with the additional notes - ridiculous price! -basically in the middle of nowhere with a string of other 2-3 star hotel/motels -restaurant not fully open mid day. -jacuzzi tub has low water pressure in room 521. And oddly even an hour after beginning to drain would make these ENORMOUS sucking sounds that would last longer than you would expect. Which will definitely interrupt your sleep if you plan to bath and retire. Hotel should check on this! -nothing open until 7 am which if you're vacationing no big deal. If you're here on business - a bust. When I came down for the 7 am breakfast I was informed the chef didn't show up. Really? I feel for the hotel. I asked could I have coffee and toast? They let me in but still proceeded to charge me. I wondered if this place had just opened as there is still dirt movers and looks like they are building more...but I was told they opened two years ago. Hmmmm Again - room for improvement!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Silver Cloud Hotel in Ruston, and by "pleasure," I…read moremean a full-contact endurance experience. Let's start with the parking lot, which appears to have been designed exclusively for clown cars or perhaps very optimistic compact vehicles. If you're driving anything larger than a shoebox, prepare for a thrilling game of "will this fit," followed by a graceful 17-point turn. The rooms are described as comfortable, which I assume is hospitality code for "cozy if you don't inhale too deeply." Spacious is not a word I would use unless we are comparing it to a broom closet. Now, if you enjoy saunas but wish they came without consent, you're in luck. My heater was stuck at a steady 78 degrees day and night, turning my room into a tropical retreat I never asked for. To their credit, they did move me... to a room where I could enjoy the next feature. Trains. Loud, proud, earth-shaking trains. All day. All night. Not "in the distance" trains, but "is there a locomotive in my hallway" trains. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're sleeping directly on a railroad track, this is your moment. There is technically a water view, which sounds lovely until you realize the parking lot sits right below your window. So when you open the blinds, you're not just enjoying the scenery, you're starring in it. Breakfast was... ambitious. I would have gladly paid extra for something edible, or at least something that didn't feel like it lost a fight with a microwave. After working a very long night, I thought maybe, just maybe, there'd be a small gesture of goodwill like a late checkout. Instead, I was told they had 68 checkouts that day, which apparently made flexibility impossible. No apology, no acknowledgment of the sauna experience, no effort to make it right. Just a firm "time to go." All things considered, I'd rate this stay somewhere between a 1 and a 2 out of 5. I won't be returning, and consider this your friendly warning: if you stay here, bring a small car, earplugs, and a strong sense of humor.

The hotel interior is absolutely beautiful and serene - sophisticated and colorful art graces each hallway. The lobby is spacious and comforting. The location is primetime Tacoma, walking distance to the convention center (1 block), Pantages Theater/Rialto Theater (2 blocks) and many restaurants. I actually think if they updated their *exterior* it would take this hotel to a 5 star hotel. It seems a bit dated outside, but walking inside is a breath of fresh air! The room was clean and updated. Housekeeping was done daily (we stayed for 3 nights) and top notch. Gym was good.. 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, a bike, a full free weights rack and two other machines, 1 weight bench. Each time I went to the gym, I was alone, so thumbs up from me for accessibility. *Runners know, however... the treadmills were on a 0.5-1.0 incline which is pretty much death. :) Not sure if it's the floor or the treadmills themselves, but they're both on a slight hill. Parking was easy, and they provided a nightly discount for our conference! Thank you to Hotel Murano and their manager for this. I am sensitive to synthetic fragrances so it may not be an issue for everyone but it seemed like maybe they were covering up previous smoking damage with more chemicals or something! It was overpowering and I had to hold my breath in the hallway. It was a little better in my room but still an uncomfortable place for me to spend time. Additionally, I woke in the middle of the night to a strong smell of marijuana, which I assume was coming from another room. I'm not sure what their policy is on smoking, perhaps that was the issue. I ended up sleeping with the windows open which helped some, though it is a little noisy downtown so this may not work for everyone. Also their food safety rating was "Okay" at the time of my visit. The drinking water also tasted very chlorinated to me. The bed was comfortable and it is in a nice location (easy park at the hotel and to walk to restaurants), but the other factors make it so that I won't visit again.

I was thrilled about the garage parking as I saw broken car windows of cars parked on the street. The garage was gated and required a key card for entry. I worried for nothing. My car was safe. My only gripes are that the rooms were not connected and there was construction going on. That was not enough to make me unhappy with my stay. Overall, 9/10 I would recommend.

I had a run in with a gal one fine morning, her name is Edith. She was rude, curt and well a few other words I won't use here. "What do you want just like regular drip coffee?" Um yes. "Well I don't have a till yet so you can pay at the host desk and then come back here." You don't just have any out here like complimentary? I didn't really read it very closely, and let me tell you it was stressful finding parking near the hotel! All the spots near the hotel were taken and we drove up and down the streets looking for parking. At first, we were going to park down a ways, in a neighborhood. But it seemed too far to lug our luggage. So one more try..and someone just vacated a spot close to the hotel in one of those spots that is back in parking only. Okay, for me that is stressful trying to back into a spot with traffic coming towards me! Finally, I was parked and told that my vehicle should be fine during our stay. We arrived 2 hours early. I got in line behind a couple, they were given a room. When it was my turn, my room wasn't yet available. No problem. They stowed our luggage, they had my phone number to text when my room became available. We went to the restaurant to eat lunch and start getting our passports stamped. It was typical McMenamins food. We went to other bars to get stamps, and we got to one of the bars right before 2 and was told that if we went down to the Spanish ballroom, there was a tour starting at 2 that we could get the stamp without buying a ticket. How very fortunate! The ballroom is beautiful! Shortly after that, we had all our stamps. We went to sit in the lobby to wait for our room to become available. One of the front desk clerks came to ask our name to check our room. She did not come back. Next thing I know, the check in rush arrived! Everyone got their rooms! Finally, I just got up and got in line and was given a room. The room was nice. Wished there was a fridge and microwave. Never turned the TV on. We were on the 7th floor and had a cool view of the atrium on the 6th floor. There's coffee on the 6th floor in the morning. Also, in the lobby. It's a fun place to visit. But we paid over $300 for one night. $275 plus taxes and fees. I would never stay here again based on my parking experience alone.
