What a wonderful spot off the beaten path! Michigan is full of hidden, and not so hidden gems, and…read morethis is one of them. I love the location itself as it is in the country yet still close to small towns. The rustic look from the moment you pull in is so intriguing, welcoming, and tantalizing. The family went on an impromptu mini road trip and I decided to check out the antique shops out here since we were already in the area. We were greeted by a friendly gentlemen at the front desk. From the moment you walk in it is so welcoming. Their sign saying "bigger than it looks" is so true! We could've spent most of the day in here. There was so much to choose from the place had a little bit of everything and I had to go home with SOMETHING. The shop has many booths for different vendors so it was cool to know my money was going to someone local. I will say it is pretty cramped in there so that's one thing to keep in mind. Although definitely look in all the nooks and crannies! Never know what you may find. Overall though I loved our experience here!

The store is definitely bigger than in looks from the outside. We're going to have to go back again because there is so much stuff to check out . I'm not an expert on antiques but some things were expensive and some were fair. Just depends on the item. My family had a great time walking through the store and looking at everything. We did buy a couple things that were pretty cool . We will go again .

Wow! Look at all the sculpture!…read more On the way to the Blissfield Vet, I have been meaning to stop in a check it out. How could you miss it? All that colorful sculpture lying in a field, so close to the road. Previously, I had Reyna in the car and didn't want to stop with her inside. But today, I was by myself and was able to take a moment and do a mini-tour. Unfortunately, no one was there to talk to them about the place. But with the sun shining brightly, and the weather cooperating, it was a perfect time to take pictures. Most of the sculpture had price tags and the names of the artists. One piece, i recall, had a price tag of $6,000. But who would care when the art would look so cool among the conifers and cornflowers? It's a bit tricky to get in. The speed limit is 55 mph and trucks barrel by. Signal ahead of your intention to turn so you don't get run over. I'd approach as I was leaving Blissfield, not before. A left turn could be deadly!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are changes my kid brain can't remember I hiked the trails today on this melty Michigan day. The outer loops is 3.2, but if you take some of the other paths as well you can easily stretch it to 4.5 or a little more. Nothing beats marked paths, fresh air and some scenery. I'll be back to hike again in the spring/summer when things are more bright and cheery. Also I stopped inside briefly for both nostalgia and to see if they had a lost n' found. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

We went through most of the store and asked to set down our finds before continuing to the rest of the store and the man working the counter pretty much just grunted at us that we could. We finished looking around and came back less than three minutes later and were met with the woman running the counter. She read one of the tags on our items and immediately decided she thought the price was too low and said she thought it was a different price. The tag was a sale tag put over the original tag where you could see an 8 peeking out. I mentioned this and she claimed she couldn't see it. She then proceeded to call the owner of the item and literally convince her that the item wasn't $4, and that it was $9. She wouldn't stop until the owner on the phone was convinced and then told us that's the price. Like what??? Do you even want customers? That you're going to make them feel so unwanted over 5 goddamn dollars?????? Not sure what the point of this place is if they're going to run customers out the door for pocket change so id say maybe skip.

We made a visit on a beautiful weekday afternoon in September and, as it turned out, it was a lot of fun. The shop was pleasant with an intentionally rural ambiance. It was a delightful 30-minute stop. This is a great place to visit, especially if you have kids.
