The salesman never gave me the vibe that he was trying to get me to spend any more money. Rather he seemed much more concerned with making sure I got what I needed. Even better, I spent far less than what I expected. He seemed obviously much more concerned with winning over repeat business and I would say he succeeded. The storeroom itself is an old drafty building which doesn't make it very cozy and honestly lowered my expectations, but by the time I walked out of the door I couldn't have cared less about that. It was one of those rare old school retail transactions that you just don't get with today's corporate retail environment.

My husband and I have been buying furniture from Harry's for over 20 years and we've always loved…read morethe pieces. We've bought sofas, love seats, recliners, ining room furniture and mattresses and the ONLY negative thing I have to say is that my husband wore out one of the recliners. He is handicapped and tends to fall backwards when he sits. The mechanics wore out and couldn't take the abuse he gave it. Other wise when we've redecorated and bought new furniture the old pieces were given to friends and family and are still in very good condition, even 20 years later. The staff at Harry's are knowledgeable about the products they sell and are very helpful. I went back just yesterday and special ordered a new sofa and ottoman. The salesman was patient as I chose my fabrics and educated me on the manufacturer (American made!) and how they construct their products. As for the above review, it sounds like an extremely rare occurrence.

We picked out another set and was told we could expect delivery in 6-8 wks. It has now been 14 wks. We have made phone calls and we have to make repeated phone calls because they don't call back as promised. Always a differnt excuse why we don't have our funiture yet. Today I have called 4 times and no one ever answers the phone. I have been leaving messages since 9:00 a.m. this morning and no one has called back yet and it is 2:00 p.m. I will never go there again.
