The guy who came for the treatment consultation (Bartlett) was very nice, professional and had answers to my questions. Bill's partner who came to quote the pruning was nice enough but when I asked for a price, I was given a very vague answer that it would cost "X" but "X" wouldn't guarantee that the job would be complete. So I asked 2 more times what would be the cost to complete the job and finally I got an answer but it was 2X! Significantly higher than anyone else. I decided not to go with them. I was disappointed I didn't get Bill. Everyone said he's the honest one. He's the knowledgeable one. I noticed my neighbors aren't using WTL anymore either. Be careful when you sign with them. Make sure you read your contract. Be sure your quote is to complete a job, not just for part.

This company must have been terrific in years past, given how many of my neighbors recommend them…read more Sadly, not anymore. They took down a bunch of troubled trees. First, they screwed up the permit, filing an inaccurate description of the property. Whatever. Then, they failed to show up on the day of the appointment. Annoying, but forgivable. Then they did the work and I paid up. And then, last month -- three years after the job -- the local government writes me to say the permit was never closed. The company promised the village that we would replant seven trees. That seems like a sensible rule, and we will comply, BUT the company never bothered to tell us this and left the permit open. And when I called them to get their help closing out the permit, they ignored me. When I persisted, the guy who did the job, Remy, came out and said this was not his problem. But the village had sent me his permit language on his letterhead promising to do something he never did and never discussed with me. Surely that makes it his responsibility. He reluctantly said he would take care of this and then disappeared. I left messages for the owner, Bill Davies. He never responded. This is shady behavior.

The first thing you see on the Timberline Website is "Call us for Free Estimates" I did call, told…read morethem I want them to look at 2 evergreens with yellowing leaves. I again asked them if the estimates are free the person who answered the phone said "absolutely". Two days later someone from Timberline called to make an appointment and told me the estimate costs $200. I told him that is not what the website or the person who answered the phone said. He told me the estimate is free only if we cut down the tree. That is not what is written. How can you trust a place that has false advertisement and lies before you use them . Every other arborist I call give legitimate free estimates.

Beware of using them! you have to know tree language first..pruning, trimming, cutting, cleaning…read moreetc. Walter quoted 4 of 6 trees and got 4 wrong......couldn't even do one tree. Walter lied about the work and what they did..no before and after...doesn't even look like work was performed....Walter didn't do one thing he agreed...he was going to make an appointment to come talk to me but just showed up...contacted company by phone and email with no response...apparently Walter is the only one to talk too and in charge. Argued with me about everything... just a total terrible experience - we will never use them again I can't say enough about how bad Walter is...absolutely the worst to do business with
