What you should know: if you have a fireplace or plan to have one installed, or if you enjoy outdoor fireside evenings around the fire pit, you should contact Dan at the Bearded Cordsman. He will consult with you about what kind of wood would be the most effective for your situation. For example, I have a one year-old wood-burning fireplace insert which can only take wood of certain lengths. Every time DAN delivers to me, he is cognizant of that. I have enjoyed my fires so much this year. In addition to them being heat efficient, they are a pleasure with the beautiful wood that Dan has provided to me. His pricing is fair. His service is impeccable. You want to do business with with him. He is so kind and nice.

I bought three cords of firewood from Twisted Tree Service in July at the going price per cord,…read moreonly it turned out to be more like 3 1/2 cords. That's right, an extra half a cord. I stacked and measured it. I offered to pay for the extra wood, but the owner declined. Definitely a major improvement over my purchase the year before when I was shorted on my purchase and the seller never made good. I've already put in a firewood order for the spring from Twisted Tree Service. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I asked him to fix them but offered me a $50 Venmo to bring them to a mechanic lol Or send me instructions how to fix them. I'm not a mechanic. Also, I have no time to fix 3 chainsaws. He was thinking of everything under the sun not to deal with my problem. Telling me he's only a a dealer and does not work on the chainsaws. He'll warranty the parts but not fix them. To me it sounds absolutely crazy. If you're gonna go to the hardware store and buy a toaster. You go home and find out the toaster handle is broken. Are you gonna call the hardware store to get another handle or you want another toaster??? Would not recommend

I wanted my driveway completely ripped up and redone from the base up. Tom came out in a very…read moretimely manor to give me an estimate. He gave me a more-than-competitive quote that was good for 30 days with a scope that was beyond what I anticipated. I have very wet ground. They pulled up my existing driveway and rolled in new Item 4. They allowed it to sit long enough to firm up before returning to re-roll the low spots with more Item 4 and put down asphalt. They applied a generous layer of both for an amazing final product. They graded everything appropriately and were incredibly efficient. The only reason I left off a star is because of the communication. I had to call to find out when they were coming for the tear out and had to call again to get the date that they were coming back for asphalt. I was on their calendar but no one reached out to tell me dates. That was up to me. I would 100% recommend them for their work and efficiency.

I would not recommend them at all. Just like another customer said, the younger generation took…read moreover and the work/work ethics are not the same as years ago any more. 6 years ago, Tom Sr. was in charge. They did a beautiful job sealcoating my driveway with all cracks carefully filled with hot tar. Since then, they bait-switched on me twice. First time they switched the oil sealer with hot tar filling to a latex sealer job. Later, Jr. told me that was his cousin and he's no longer there. Jr. said he would make it right for me if I would hire them again. But Jr. did the same thing to me this year. He sent another cousin over to do the job. This cousin, wearing another company's uniform, said no one told him that he needed to do hot tar crack filling. He got Jr. on the phone. When I confronted Jr. that not only we had agreed earlier about the sealcoating and hot tar filling and the price, but also his office confirmed all this with him, then reiterated to me item by item, which included hot tar filling of the cracks. Jr. said that it was the secretary's misunderstanding /miscommunication! So, the cousin did latex coating of the driveway and cracks. Besides, they didn't do a neat job either. Some part of the driveway edge was not seal coated and the grass on both sides of the driveway was black. Moreover, they tied the yellow ribbon on my fully loaded garbage can which I put outside for next morning's collection. I had to go out in the middle of the night to untie the ribbon and tied the ribbon to something else. I would not go back to them ever again, and would advise if you consider hire them, put things down in writing, don't trust what they say.
