I went with the buffet and I started with a salad. I used a mixture of iceberg and spinach then I added tomatoes, shredded cheese, sunflower seeds and diced ham and I used their Italian dressing. The salad was delicious. I would have liked carrots and cucumbers but those ingredients didn't look fresh. Then I tried some proteins and I started with the ribs. Unfortunately they were not tender. Next I tried the fried fish. The fish was hot and fresh and cooked well. The tartar sauce on the buffet didn't look fresh so I just used ketchup. Lastly I tried the meat loaf and surprisingly it tasted good. It was flavored nicely and it had a nice texture. We had a fabulous waitress who kept our drinks full and cleared our used plates. The restaurant is pretty big inside.

    Burger... where's the beef!

I wish I was more impressed. New facility. Carry over of some old menu items from their previous restaurant. Honestly just not worth a full blown review to me. The pulled pork, look just okay. The Buffalo wrap, was a Buffalo wrap... the burger? From the picture I was asking.. "where's the beef?" Just nothing to write home about. Basic sustenance. I was hoping for better. I'm still hoping... Fries... looked good, but a bit cold and NOT crispy! Sorry

After a long day on the road, LongHorn Steakhouse in Rolla was exactly the kind of stop we needed…read more I went with the 6-ounce sirloin, paired with a baked sweet potato and fresh steamed broccoli. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked just the way I wanted, with a nice grilled finish that gave it that classic steakhouse taste. The broccoli was hot and fresh, and the sweet potato was a perfect side after a full day of travel, warm, filling, and a great complement to the steak. I also started with a Caesar salad, which was fresh and loaded with crunchy croutons and shaved parmesan. This made for a very satisfying dinner stop just off I-44, and it was an easy, dependable place to unwind for the evening in Rolla. LongHorn Steakhouse 1600 Old Wire Outer Rd Rolla, MO 65401

Finally got to Rolla to try Longhorn and it was not a good impression…read more Seated quickly and in a booth. Appreciated that. Server was fine. She became more engaged when, I believe, she saw we were not having the best experience so I give 4/5 stars for noticing but also because she was more attentive and gave me an extra plate quickly when I asked bc of the steak swimming in clarified butter that was supposed to be in a separate dish for the lobster instead of floating around the plate. Ribeye was actually really thin. You can see in the pics, about the same size as a thin ribeye from a recent grocery purchase I made. It was actually cooked well - for the size I would have expected overdone. Biggest issue is when I cut a piece and started to chew I had the shockwave from teeth on bone. A little chunk of bone was still in the ribeye. Pic included. I told her after we paid so she could warm the kitchen staff. Ribs - fine. Lobster - rubber. Could have thrown it across the room and it would have bounced at least twice. See pics. Also, the butter issue. Sides - side salad was crisp and the cucumber was fresh. Mash was interesting, and that could be because it's processed potato, a gluey issue from over-mixing, or that it was also taking a swim in the spilled butter. Fries were very tasty. Mac was okay. Overall spend with drinks was $109 with a 20% tip. I would not say it was worth it. We basically ate the salad and bread and called it a day.
