Me and my family ate here and none of us were able to finish our meals. We took one bite and were immediately put off by the obscene amount of salt that was on the sandwiches. I LOVE Lion's Choice! They are my favorite fast food chain and they are also participants in the GiftAMeal program. Way to go Lions Choice! The roast beef with Swiss, light seasoning and an order of fries and large diet Dr Pepper is my go to order. Lately I have also really enjoyed getting their protein bowl. Not every location is familiar with it so sometimes you have to explain that you just want the roast beef with a slice of Swiss cheese on top in a soup bowl. Eat it up with a spoon and ditch the carbs. LOL! I have heard that the $.25 mini cone has gone up in price, which is a bummer but is to be expected with soaring inflation. I'm super stoked that I had purchased a bag of wooden coins for free mini cone last Christmas and I still have at least a dozen left! Sweet! I gave a few to my neighbor kids and kept the rest for myself. ;). Every time I drive to Springfield I have to stop at the Sullivan Lions Choice and pick up a bag of roast beef sandwiches for the family. Wife and I are fans of Lions Choice. We eat there frequently in Ellisville and Chesterfield. Coming from a weekend in Arkansas we decided to grab a bite in Cuba before we got to St Louis. Generally, everything was as expected but the bun was inedible, dry, hard and somewhat rubbery. I ate the meat only and moved on to my ham and swiss. Bun was just the same, so old it must have been days old. Very disappointing, almost like almost line the cook was looking right at us and must have thought, "I am going to push this old food off on these stupid customers customers." Kind of like an Arby's only much better. I'm sure they hate that comparison​ but I'm not sure what less to say. It was cleaner, brighter, fresher. The food was better too. Instead of pressed water-infused meat, they serve real meat and that seems freshly carved. They also have hot au jus in a large urn like a coffee pot out where the condiments are. Everything was fresh and the staff was friendly. I will stop by the next time I come across this chain. read more

I have loved Lion's Choice for decades. Not lately. Ordered 2 large RB sandwiches and 2 LARGE fries. Got home and there was only 1 Fry, looked like a small. So I'm a total Arby's fan but found myself driving through the backwoods of Missouri and saw a 'different' roast beef place. I did my due diligence and saw some decent reviews and said, LET'S GIVE THIS PLACE A SHOT! I'm very glad I did. First off, when the lovely lass at the drive through heard it was my first visit, she offered me and my son a complimentary chocolate covered mini ice cream cone which was very kind and tasted even better. I ordered a giant roast beef with cheese and some fries. The fries are thin natural cut potatoes and are perfectly matched to the oversized roast beef. The meat was fresh and juicy and tasty. My only minor complaint was that something tasted overly salty -- I think the buttered bun may have been salted. The meal set me back about $11 with a drink which I think is a tad high for fast food but I gotta be honest -- if I had one of these near my house instead of Arby's, I'd probably never go to Arby's ever again! read more

It's a chain, so this will be quick. I went, I ate, it was delicious and clean. No staff complaints and no issues with this specific location. My problem is, I paid $9 for a meal!!! What the hell! When did Lion's Choice start serving gold and platinum on a bun! I ordered the large roast beef meal. I didn't really want large fries or drink, but that's how I had to do it to get the large sandwich. Wow, it was so little food for so much!!! I could have hit the Taco Bell and bought food for me AND my wife!!! This is still freaking fast food, it IS NOT a sit-down restaurant, it SHOULD NOT be that pricey! Stopped here today and got the small roast beef sandwich and fries. After I was back out on the highway I took a bite and found out that it was rare, I do not eat rare meat. I called and talked to an employee who said, "We serve real roast beef so of course it is cooked med. rare. The next you stop be sure to tell us when you order and we'll cook it for you." I explained that there probably won't be a next time since I feel that my money was wasted this time. This was my first time eating at a Lions Choice. My husband is a huge fan and convinced me I just had to have it. I have to say, it definitely puts Arby's to shame. The meat was fresh and tender and they put a salt seasoning of some sort on it which was delicious. Our buns were plain jane and i think a different bread really could've made the sandwich. Disappointed----I took my 40 athletes in for dinner on our return trip from state swim meet. When I informed them we were tax exempt they told me they couldn't do tax exemption. When I told them my school district does not allow me to make purchases and be charged tax. They told me again we could not receive tax exemption. We have been eating at this particular Lion's Choice for several years now and the food is usually good. However, lately, when we order a baked potato, the potato is so old and dried out it is inedible. If we eat in the restaurant, the potato is fine, if we drive through and get the food to go, we get a dead potato. It's like they know you won't look in the bag to see what you're getting. And really, most people don't. I will no longer order the baked potato, why pay that much money just to throw the item away. read more
