The food here is SO good! Dined in and started with the fried avocado and pickles. Delicious! I had the Pad Thai and my dining partner had the river prawn bowl. Just to preface, this is for carry out only. I cannot judge on the ambiance or overall experience, just on food alone. I will say it was really cute and posh when I walked in to pick up my order and the girl checking me out was super friendly. I wouldn't say it's the best nor is it the worst Thai I've had. We started off with the egg rolls which were pretty good, standard I'd say. For our entrees we had the green curry which we asked for spicy and it was not, and the Pad Kee Mow which I asked for medium and it was spicier than the curry. Both were good just nothing out of the ordinary that I usually have. If I needed something quick for carry out, I may try it again, if I wanted to go for a sit down place, may try another establishment. read more

I have to go with a solid "meh" on this one. The spring rolls were delicious, but it's kinda hard to mess those up. The red curry was good but not life-changing, and the pad woon sen tasted like they forgot the flavor part. I would have given this place 3 stars were it not for that last dish. Very good Thai food. The vegetables were very fresh, and exactly what I needed, and the sauce was well-balanced (chili chicken - I was really excited about baby corn). Delivery was 20 minutes late, so an estimate of 45-60 minutes was actually 80, and the delivery person was on the front porch if a house 3 doors down when I found them. Overall, the food options aren't plentiful nor is it flavorful. When I happened to stop by for dinner (late Friday evening) it was apparent what type of ambiance and environment the restaurant was aiming for, more bar & louder music then a restaurant. This isn't bad if you're looking for drinks and dinner with a friend, but can make it hard if you're with family trying to have a conversation. The location is good for those in the area or those walking around looking for a bite to eat. I've had better Thai food, in terms of options and flavor, from other major cities. I just came back from Portugal where I had a lot of "prato do dias" (lunch menus) so I've decided to do a Lunch-Special-Tour of Chicago. This was my 1st stop. The Thai food was on-point. I got a penang curry for about $9 and my sis got the Drunken-noodles. Portions were generous too and we had to take boxes to go. The staff was super-friendly and the place was relatively empty at lunch-time so there was no issues with sitting. The wall has a fun painting on the brick. Incredible! You can seriously spend $16 dollars between the 2 people for their Lunch Special and you will be so full and happy! Me and my girlfriend ordered 2 specials, Green and Panang Curry both got appetizers with that. Everything tasted delicious, made from scratch delicious. I want to mention I've been working in restaurants my whole life and my girlfriend is a cook at a Michelin star restaurant. So trust us when we say delicious. Quite enjoyed the food here. Ordered delivery and got the Pad thai and Kori's favorite noodles. The Pad thai was unique in that it was wrapped with an egg, and while it tasted pretty standard otherwise, the portion was large and they hit on all the flavors just right. Kori's favorite noodles was also a dish that I'm not used to eating, but after having a bit I was very pleasantly surprised; a depth of sweetness balanced out by the creaminess of the coconut bean sauce, which permeated through all the thin noodles and made for a very wholesome meal. My one complaint with it is that their wasn't a lot of chicken that I noticed, but I let it slide because it tasted pretty good otherwise. read more

My husband and I were trying to find a good Thai restaurant so I found this by Googling then checking Yelp reviews. Got an early dinner with 2 orders of chicken pad Thai and 1 seared salmon dish. Totaled around $40 so the place is reasonably priced. Picked it up and was pleasantly surprised - lovely restaurant. We will totally go and eat there next time rather than bringing it home. Both of us thought both dishes were great! And I am gluten free and they happily made both gluten free so I guess they do this upon request. The ladies working there seemed nice. Very good food, fair prices and excellent service. I had the salmon with side of rice and veggies. It was cooked just right and service was very attentive without being over bearing. They have a great out door patio in front, and open air restaurant. There is a bit of a dive bar next door that places loud music out of blown out speakers and I think a lot of people pass by without noticing this place. It is definitely worth a stop in! I think the only issue I had with it is the condition of the bathrooms. But I would absolutely go back. read more

We walked here for a late lunch and stumbled out with full happy stomachs . We ordered the son in law eggs, koris favorite noodle, kao soi, and a beef curry. Our favorite dishes were in that order as well. The son in law eggs was fantastic - everyone at the table loved it . Aside from the entrees we each got a small appetizer (lunch specials come with apps) . The crab Rangoon and the tempura veggies were also on point . The cocktails (Bangkok mule and the de Laura ) were fabulous. The bar tender actually mixed fresh mint in the drinks (as opposed to the drink mixes). We will definitely come back when we visit Chicago again . It was affordable for lunch with each meal costing around 10-12 . Decent serving sizes too ! I really don't know why this place has 4.5 stars. The food here is very below average. To be fair I only ordered one thing, very simple pad se ew, and for them to mess that up, I highly doubt I will be back. I ordered take out, and I expected my container to be filled to the brim with food because I paid for extra vegetables, but when I got my container of food, it wasn't full, I literally could see the bottom of the container, a very meager serving, in an already tiny take out container. It seemed like instead of giving me the extra vegetables I paid for, they just gave me less noodles! Yeah. And to add insult to injury, the vegetables were damn near raw, not that good fresh-n-vibrant cooked-n-crunchy, but super under cooked and tough. Then the noodles were overcooked. Over all the dish was blah. I've never had Thai food so bad. This location used to be Thai Village, which was some super mediocre Thai food. Once I saw that it became a totally new restaurant I was excited to try it, but I regret it. To me Silli Kori is worse than Thai Village. If I could give them zero stars I would, but I guess they deserve the one star because the guy who took my order was super cute. I'll never eat there again. read more

Charming, romantic ambiance and tasty food and cocktails! Strongly recommend the Massaman curry, which was reminiscent of a tender pot roast, only served in a delicious curry sauce. Also recommend the Bangkok Mule and Tetra cocktails (both have lavender in them, but were very distinctly different from each other and both were enjoyable). One of my fav Thai restaurant in town! Remember to ask for other menu that has more authentic food. Portion is small but the price is extremely reasonable. My roommate and I have ordered pickup from this place, formerly known as "Thai Village," a couple times. We usually order the Panang curry and the pad thai dishes. The food is pretty average, and the pickup is often available before estimated time. We also love the thai iced coffee. Pleasantly surprised by our last minute decision to stop at Silli Kori! We sat outside and soaked up the beautiful evening, but the inside decor looked cool and intimate. No complaints about our prompt and friendly service. We ordered the crispy roll, pad Thai and Kori's favorite noodles- all delicious! Noodle dishes were flavorful and unique. Kori's favorite noodles even had a slight sweetness from the coconut! Really good! I only gave it four stars because the prices were a couple dollars over what I'd like to pay for Thai food, especially if you choose to carry out, and because their outdoor furniture needs an overhaul. Looking for a new spot on Division to try and stopped here. Patio was open on a Friday night so made the choice easy. My date and I shared the namesake Silli Wings and Kao Soi curry bowl. Our drinks came out first. The New Moon tequila cocktail lived up to its looks. Our meal came out 5 min later and the Silly Wings were flavored well; the meat fell off the bone. The papaya side salad that came with was very good. Our Kao Soi came out next. The noodles came with a light mixture of pickled-veggies and beef in a sweet but spicy, curry sauce. We finished the meal with a Thai Iced coffee and dessert. The Thai Iced coffee proportions were just right. And our carrot cake was served warm. Not too sweet. With just the right amount of cream cheese frosting. Found out it was $3 and should have ordered another! Service was excellent. Our server Eric advised us into a delicious meal and paced the shared courses out perfectly. 60 bucks total with tip. read more

This place is totally unassuming with what seems like a menu without much depth. How completely wrong is that assumption. The food is DELICIOUS. The crispy rice "salad" is actually a pile of the crispiest, limey rice with peanuts, red onion and cilantro with pieces of romaine on the side to make the most savory lettuce tacos ever. My family loved our dinner at Silli Kori this weekend. This isn't your typical Thai restaurant, instead they have dishes that are fresh, vibrant, and infused with Thai flavors. However, you can ask for dishes off the old Thai Village menu that are Thai restaurant standards (such as soups and noodle dishes). My kids loved the corn fritters, crispy rolls, gyoza, and avocado tempura. We also loved the pan seared salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and the crispy curry rice salad with tofu. We'll definitely be returning on a regular basis. The patio is nice in the summer. read more

Beautiful space but the food is bland...Opart Thai is soooo much better!

Everything is pretty freaking amazing. I loved the uniqueness of the menu. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes. The wine list is extremely reasonably priced and great selection. Agree with another review that talks about a musty order but these old buildings often have that smell. read more
