I would give zero if I could. I can't believe this is even a real company. The customer service from high up supervisor Cristian is abhorrent. The fact that there is no one to speak to above him is a real problem. If you hit any snags in the very beginning of your order process and try to cancel you will be coerced into believing that they can still complete the project the way you want. Then when that proves to be false and you still need to cancel you will be charged 20 percent in termination fees as well as being gaslit by saying you waited too long to cancel the order and allowed them to proceed with the work. The only person higher than the 'supervisor' I'm dealing with is the owner. Good luck getting in touch with them. Do yourself a favor and go with a different printing company. I had a very disappointing experience with this company from both a product and customer service standpoint. I ordered suede business cards specifically because I expected the soft-touch suede finish that is commonly advertised and provided by other printers. Unfortunately, the cards I received did not match that expectation at all. The texture was not what is typically associated with suede cards, and this was the primary reason I chose this product in the first place. After receiving the order, I reached out multiple times via email trying to resolve the issue, but nothing meaningful was done to address my concern. I eventually spoke with a representative by phone, and the conversation was not pleasant or professional. I was repeatedly spoken over, my concerns were dismissed, and I was essentially told to accept what I received and "be happy with it." That is not an acceptable response when a customer pays for a premium product. Instead of resolving the issue, I was offered a credit toward another purchase rather than a refund for the order that did not meet expectations. That does not solve the problem. As a small business owner myself, accurate product descriptions and respectful communication matter a lot. This experience has been frustrating from start to finish. I'm sharing this review so other potential customers are aware of what they may encounter regarding both the product expectations and the customer service experience. I paid a $99 design fee. After the final draft was approved, the design team sent a pricing proposal. I agreed to print 500 cards and was promised delivery by New Year's Eve 2024. However, when I received the cards late on January 23, I was deeply disappointed with the quality. The cards were not what I had ordered. The cards was supposed to have three layers, but it only had two. The second layer was literally separating from the first, causing every card to come apart. After speaking to a manager multiple times over several weeks, he finally agreed to give me a full refund. However, when I returned the cards, I only received a partial refund. Update since I didn't update last year, and owner is asking now: still wasn't great when I got the "fixed" cards. They *miraculously* were able to make some adjustments that they "couldn't do" before (centering my variable data), but since I had sent them a new file and design (left-aligned) that could accommodate what they couldn't do, the design looked off (variable data was now centered, rest was left-aligned, original everything was centered). Also the variable data ended up being raised instead of printed which wasn't like that on the previous cards? I didn't ask for that. Could barely read the names/variable data on top of that. The metallic copper ink on frosted didn't look great. It was a substitute for the metallic foil since it originally was all scuffed and scratched. Never got the rush job they promised, never got the rush shipping they promised. I didn't bother asking for a refund since it was impossible to get a hold of them once I started complaining. The website really needs to disclose what they can/can't do and was looks good and doesn't look good. Would save people a lot of time, money and stress. It's been 1.5 years since this ordeal, and maybe they've changed since then, but I probably won't be back... read more

They took almost 2 months to deliver my business cards. I used their design team and that alone took one month, after telling them I wanted the cards asap bc that was the only thing my business was waiting for. Once that finally got approved they were horrible to update me on the process and never had any customer service agent reach out to me or pick up the phone. Shipping took long as well. Horrible customer service. The sales rep sent me a credit for free design for a sample of the card. They went ahead and worked on the order and charged my card without my approval. No communciation. They were so shady and refused to refund me. The representative on the phone told me I can't speak to anyone else since there is no one in the building...clearly they have not trained their customer service representatives because she was not helpful and was resistant to help. I told them to not finish the order since I was prematurely charged. And I asked them to refund me because I no longer want to work them. They refused and told me that the graphic designer has to reach out to me. I asked if they could refund be and the girl had no idea. They seemed clueless and so unhelpful. Very shady company. Beware, this shady company accepts your order and quickly processes your payment under the premise that it will be ready by your deadline, and then backs out of their commitment to get it done on time. When you find out and try to cancel the order before approving the proof, they hold your payment in ransom. Dispute the charge through your bank. Watch out for the character named Christian and the woman that occasionally answers the phone. China made, not US made cards, thus the reference to "silk" in the name.... That is also the reason they send out proofs during the night time in the US, when it's daytime in China. read more

I placed an order for 250 white debossed cards a few weeks ago. I noticed some strange colors on the proof sheet, so I called the customer support line. I asked why there was pink and green lettering on the card proof and why the blank back of the card was in black. Their representative assured me that those colors are simply to show the embossing and debossing of the card and that they would not be getting printed on the card. I thanked him for explaining it to me and approved the proof for printing. 2 weeks later I receive my cards and surprisingly, the back of the card is completely black! I can't give out cards that look like fridge magnets, so I called support to send back the cards for a refund. I was told that since I approved the print, It's my fault that the back is solid black. I told them what their rep had promised me and that nowhere in my order did I ever mention wanting the back of my white cards to be black. They said it must have been a misunderstanding on MY part and that I probably didn't ask my question right. It took me 5 calls and over an hour of my time to get them to admit that they were even slightly at fault for this and offer a refund. The catch? That I, the customer who was lied to by their team, should have to pay $14 to ship the order back to them. This return policy just so happens to be conveniently hidden by a broken link on their homepage. This company, and especially their Brand Representative, Christian, have no idea how to take accountability for their mistakes and treat customers fairly. Please take my experience as a warning, Silkcards is not a company you should ever consider doing business with. read more

The first time I order Business cards from this vendor, it was a NIGHTMARE!! So, I gave them another opportunity, everyone deserves a second chance. This time I called them first to ask them if I can have the business cards ready in 14 business days, and they said yes! Of course, if the business cards are approved right away (which means within 24 hrs) and if I pay the rush fee ($50) I can have the cards ready the time i need them, well, 13 days had passed, I call them up, and according to the customer service, they are still in print (they had been in printing for over 1 1/2 week), I need them for this weekend, and after calling customer service, it seems I am not getting them this weekend. These are not gang run, $25 cards - they offer wild custom combinations of specialty inks, papers and dies. It may take some work to get exactly what you want, and you should know something about graphic design, pantone colours, and paper stock...but after they let me make multiple changes to my proof I got the exact cards I wanted. Ordered business cards using their special capabilities (the wooden piece and debossing), they took a while to be delivered (fine enough I guess, but a little annoying). Once they finally arrived (a month after ordering), the QR code didn't work and the wooden cut outs were broken. I asked for this to be fixed, sent photos and described in detail what my issues were and then sent back the actual cards. They said they would try again. So another 2 months and they again send me cards with broken off pieces. Absolutely not worth the money. It's just a very crappy product. read more

This would be a 3 star, maaaybe a 4 star review, if not for Kenneth. I've now used Silkcards twice. The first time, I was purchasing a custom designed business card for myself. A complicated design with lots of foils, cutouts, etc. At the end of the day, the card came out dope, but they had a manufacturing issue that made the cards super late, and they had inverted the cutout on the design (again, super complicated) so that the depth of field was messed up. However, they were amazing, and reshipped with the proper design at no additional charge. Card One Final Design: 5/5 Turnaround 0/5 Customer Service: 5/5 I didn't much care about turnaround on that card, though it was late for a conference I was attending, so CARD 1 OVERALL: 4/5 The second purchase was a business card for someone else, and was intended to be a birthday gift. Complicated design, lots of cutouts, my MO. Again, the card came out dope. I worked with Kenneth via chat trying to figure out a design, discount, and to pick his brain about concepts. Ultimately I ended up running 2 separate quotes with slightly different designs and sizes, then received a call & robot-like informative mansplanation of why I shouldn't do that next time- seemingly without any understanding of my end goals- from another employee that I won't name. Boo. I continued working with Kenneth, because we were on the same page during the concept phase of the card. At one point, I realized by reviewing their version of the pizza tracker, that this card wouldn't be completed in time to be used as a birthday gift, and inquired about expedited shipping. I received an answer, didn't reply, and went off to ponder if it made sense to pay the additional price considering it still would likely not arrive in time. Ultimately, I went shopping for an alternate birthday gift & never responded to poor Kenneth about expedited shipping- left on read, sorry bud. The cards arrived a week or two later than I needed them, so I kind of put them off to the side and forgot about them until over a month later when The employee who shall not be named hit me up at the end of the day to advise that they would be charging for expedited shipping at the start of the next business day. At this point, the cards had arrived... late.. a month prior. So again, I went back and spoke with Kenneth, the hero of this story, and he again resolved everything & even offered to waive the standard shipping cost. Card Two Final Design: 5/5 Turnaround: 3/5 Customer Service: Mixed bag Get Kenneth a raise. He's keeping clients. Because of him, I'll come back again. I have been using SilkCards when they are 4 Color prints since 2011 they were very good before never had an issue. Either they charged management or ownership their management team will do a reprint for and will not give me a refund just leaving me hanging. Asking me to send them samples why should as a customer spend my time and money for their mistakes. They told me they can get samples from production. Waited 1 week nothing. Got an email that production don't have it. Asking me to send pictures which I sent pictures and video already. Called them no answer spool to a manager Christian told me he will deal with and waited days no answer called him. He was busy will call me back right away. Did not happen. Called today. He is not in. This is the kind of service you can expect now from these guys. Lucky if you get your orders good. By the way I have been ordering premium cards from them since day one. Normally I order 2-3 thousand lucky I ordered much less this round. They don't care about customer service. trying to fight for a refund now. Find new place for cards to print. read more

I had an issue with an order I received and SilkCards remedied the problem right away, re-printing and shipping the new cards at their expense. Christian, the Customer Service person I dealt with was great to work with, and provided regular updates as to the status of the re-print and delivery. I ordered cards through this company, Silk Cards, using my local card shop. I was told they take longer but quality is solid. We made the order and it was approximately $500 for 500 cards. 250 were supposed to be blue and 250 grey. Premium cards we thought. I received charcoal color cards that look like magnets. The colors are off. The quality is off. The customer service person, Christian, who identifies himself as the Brand Ambassador would not talk to me. He explained that he would only talk to company that placed order. I put Sobe Express owner on the phone and he would not talk to us. No problem talking to us when we were both on the phone clarifying our order. Christian said he would not speak to him with the customer on phone ( that's me). Christian gave the owner a phone number to call him on and it went immediately to voicemail. We called back and Christian was annoyed. Immediately upon receiving the deficient cards, we sent an email with photos. Clear as can be that colors were wrong. We will now follow Christian's request for 2-3 physical cards be sent back to him. They just printed them and we sent pictures but they need them back and say we need to make a claim. We are following their bogus request. BUYERS BEWARE! Look at other reviews. They have issues getting the colors correct. The brand ambassador can't speak to customer. Will not speak to card company that placed order on my behalf. What happened to the time where customer satisfaction meant something? Simple response should have been send back cards and we will correct the problem and send out new cards. read more

I was very set on having foil gold on my business card. I called around locally to other business and I was told it would be over $400 for the business cards I wanted. I contacted 6 other people around the nation to get a quote and I found Silkcards. I chose this company because of how I was treated. The sales team was incredibly nice and respectful. You can tell even over email. I was assured by them that they could do the job at a reasonable price. I was very skeptical. The sale person knew that and offered to send me a sample pack to get an idea of what I was purchasing. When I received the sample pack, you could tell the cards are of a higher quality. The feel and thickness of the standard card alone was incredible. These cards stood out among other cards - and that was my goal. So I decided to have my cards designed by Silkcards. I outline very specifically in written text and provided a picture of exactly what I wanted. The design process I feel was a bit bumpy. I partially feel some of that was because I asked for slight creativity. I got a lot more than I wanted. The process of undoing that was even more bumpy. Ryan helped smooth that out and was very helpful during the entire process. Regardless, when I got my cards, they were everything I wanted - and it didn't cost me $400!! I am handing my cards out like candy. The first response is about the design and the feel. I do not hesitate to tell them about Silkcards. Silkcards makes my business stand out. Deceiving business service: they make you pay $99 for business card design but they never give you the actual design files so you are then forced to print the cards from them. They never specify this point on their website or when paying. Only after paying they will send you an email with a bunch of new conditions. Very questionable pricing also. They quoted me for 1000 biz cards to then quote me for 250 cards at approximately 10% difference in pricing. Go figure how they make their maths... I've lost my $99 to these deceiving folks and so be it but I hope others will not fall prey as I did. read more

The quality is always fantastic. When I have detailed changes, they are very careful with proofs to highlight all changes and be 100% sure we are on the same page. Each time I have any questions, comments, or concerns they are quick to reply to my emails or messages.
