I asked the girl with the green hair where the resin was. The area was almost completely wiped out. There was hardly anything there. I asked her where the alcohol inks were and she told me which isle it was. I asked the other one where the washrooms were, and she told me they were closed due to Covid ( this may or may not of been true considering the other locations have been open ) She then followed me and stood 2 feet from me watching me, making me feel like I was going to steal something. I asked her if there was another area where they had resin ( as other stores often have an end cap of it in addition to the regular section ) she just brushed me off and said "no" Funny, as I found it myself a few minutes later. I got in line and waited. There was one cashier. The girl who was bitchy to me then told me I could pay her. I was scrolling on my phone looking for my coupon and she sighed dramatically, instead of just scanning the one they have at the til. She then slammed my change on the counter instead of putting it in my hand, and didn't thank me. Just walked off. Wow .. Management really needs to have a talk with her about basic Customer Service. I was planning on buying more then one item, but after the way she was acting, I decided to go to the one Downtown where they are all super friendly and helpful. Viewing photos at home, They have printed black and white photos in color? This causes red Hughes in the white and blue hues in the black completely unusable! I feel a company offering professional printing should be able to sit down on their customer and show a client what the print should look like?!? Here is where I have issues ... how they cut the fabric. They have a system where they cut exactly the amount you ask for. It an millimetre more. Some staff cut crooked which is what happened to me. I pointed out that her cut was crooked. She apologized and re-measured. Sure enough she was off by a few inches on one side because she cut crooked. So I said that I'll still take the piece but can I have a discount? She asked her manager and basically the answer was no. I still took the fabric, I suppose I could have asked for another piece to be cut (unfortunately I'm a people pleaser) but I bought the fabric piece as is. I felt bad to ask for another piece to be cut. There were people in line etc. On my drive home I became distraught about it thinking they could have given me a small discount and I regretted not asking for a new piece to be cut.

I found a new addition to the shop since I was there last -- Tejo handcrafted stone decor. With a couple of shelves devoted to displaying a limited selection of their soapstone crafts. Very cool stuff. I looked and admired. Left the shop with two, crochet-crafted tulips, and a ceramic mug. One of the flowers will look just right in a vase purchased at the shop next door. Not sure, at this time, whether I will use the mug for hot beverages, or as a vase, for a grouping of flowers. Time will tell -- at present, just pondering and admiring. I am glad to have devoted this time to returning to Churi. It is a fine shop, with such lovely displays of rather unique crafts and related products. And my purchase will provide memories to "keep in touch".
