Going to Silk Vet is a delight from start to finish. Jen at the front desk greets you with a warm reception and lots of love for your fur baby! Carissa handled my dog Figgy like a pro and really made us feel comfortable. And of course the incredible Dr. Silk answered our many questions with patience and a smile. I am incredibly impressed by her knowledge, skill set, and warmth! She is so easy to talk to and listens to your concerns. We will definitely be long time clients!

Silk is truly a top notch Veterinary practice. Dr. Silk is as caring as she is knowledgeable. Carissa at the front desk is personable and prompt. I am very happy I made the move to Silk. Most importantly, my dog Charlie is also VERY happy there! His anxiety is noticeably less at Silk than at any other vet I have had. I really do appreciate Dr. Silk and her team. I HIGHLY recommend Silk Veterinary Hospital.

So happy to have found Silk Vet. We've taken our 1 year old pup there the past year and are very happy. Jen is the best greeter ever for our pup! After years of dealing with larger offices which had difficult phone systems and front desks to negotiate past to get to an actual vet....Silk is small and offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for both pets and owners. Dr. Silk is knowledgeable and really listens to your issues and concerns. We will continue to use Silk for our service pups in training!

Dr Silk saved my Yorkie from being put to sleep due to Diabetes. She is an excellent diagnostician and love the small practice atmosphere. My dogs get a little nervous going to the Vet, but not at Silk Vet.

Betsy is technically skillful but also extraordinarily compassionate, understanding, soft spoken and gentle toward both our beloved dogs and the family members present for our dogs' final moments, one on a familiar couch and one on the grass in the yard he so enjoyed. She clearly understands and feels the trauma we were feeling and made our pet' s passing as easy as possible. She assisted at every step, and stayed to help until all was done. We are very grateful to her for making these difficult steps less painful. We were so very lucky to find her. She is the best.

My dog was 15 miles away and when I asked if there was any way she could help us say goodbye, the vet snapped and said, "That's way out of my way." No empathy. No care. Just a complete lack of humanity in one of the most painful moments of my life. I wasn't asking for a favor--I was trying to give my pet of many years a peaceful, loving goodbye. The response I got made an already heartbreaking situation even worse. She was recommended by a local vet too!!! Horrible.

Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.

We are so lucky to have her expertise, she has changed the lives of so many dogs!

It was clear to me that they really know each of their cats and care for them very well--they took the time to get to know me and understand what I was looking for, and suggested a cat who seemed like the perfect fit. They both were eager to answer all of my many questions throughout the process and even helped me out by dropping my new kitty off since I don't have a car. My girl had a few minor health issues after arriving (most likely due to the stress of moving/change in food) and Susan offered me advice about different things I could try and followed up numerous times to make sure she was settling in okay. The process overall couldn't have been any smoother and I am so appreciative of Guardian Angels and the care and diligence they put into finding good homes for all of their cats. If I ever decide to adopt another cat I'll definitely work with them again.

Hi. We took our dog to Sea Legs Integrative Vet in West Roxbury due to a torn ACL, arthritis, etc…read more and it was a very poor experience. Our pet had gone through rehab years before at a different location for a torn ACL on the other side and ultimately had surgery, but at his advanced age we decided not to do the surgery with its long recovery for this side. Session 1. The setting up of the initial appointment was great and the vet Dr. Jaclyn Coble was very responsive, fit us in right away. The staff were also very friendly. We went to the first appointment and the vet was examining our dog's knees and then went to do the Soundwave ultrasound on the wrong knee and when I pointed out that she had the wrong knee she said she thought that it had felt fine on that side (the side he has a titanium TTA in). I wondered why she was willing to do the procedure on a healthy knee. She made some comment about reading through his records, but I had not sent her his records. She proceeded and did the soundwave therapy on the now correct knee, but needed guidance from her vet tech, vet nurse on how to get the machine to work. Her examination on the wrong knee was $295 &$350 for the soundwave ultrasound for total charge for session I of $645 Session 2. We returned a week later to do rehab. First they did warm laser therapy. Then, they had our dog do an obstacle course, stand on an uneven surface. Finally, they had him use the underwater treadmill. While he was on the treadmill, they attached the neck collar at the front of the machine to him (there is nowhere for him to go as the treadmill walls are 4 feet high), but they had the treadmill going so slow that our dog was riding it to the back of the treadmill before he would walk and it was stretching on the collar so I very quickly untied the collar so that he did not get choked. No Session 3. We returned for the second soundwave session and the vet tech/nurse took us into the room and shaved his knee and they were going to start the procedure and I asked why the doctor was not doing it this time, if she was going to see him and they said that they were more than capable. I was not questioning if they were capable, but I did wonder how she would know if he was any better without seeing him. They went to get her and suffice it to say that it went downhill from there and we did not have the second soundwave and we will not be returning. I love my dog and I am willing to do anything to help him have a good quality of life, but this vet did not instill confidence, lied about reading his records, did not know what knee was injured, did not know how to use the machine, let them tie his collar on a moving machine and was either willing to do a procedure on a healthy knee or worse did not realize it was a healthy knee. We had done rehab with the first torn ACL, laser, water treadmill, obstacle/uneven surface so this isn't that the experience is new to us, but I have never felt such a lack of faith in a provider.
