Silk Lounge is a late-night gem with amazing food, vibes, and service--with just a few quirks. We came for the late-night dinner menu (7-9 PM on a Sunday) and had a great experience overall. Our waitress Bri was sweet, attentive, and personable. She's from the Bronx (shoutout to her amazing nail plug!) and gave us solid menu recommendations. She even crafted a custom mocktail based on the flavor notes I liked--citrusy and refreshing. Love the personalized touch! For food, we started with the oxtail eggrolls, which were incredible--tender oxtail meat paired with rice and peas, giving big Trini pelau vibes. My date had the Rasta Pasta, which was creamy, cheesy, and packed with peppers, spinach, and seasoned shrimp. I got the lamb chops, perfectly cooked to medium and paired with a sweet-savory sauce, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Everything was flavorful and well-executed. The music was a great mix of R&B and hip-hop--perfect for millennials--and the vibe was chill yet lively. A few things to note: * Dine-in service uses plastic cutlery, which was surprising given the pricing and ambiance. * The menu prices on the website don't completely match the restaurant's QR code menu, so there's a slight inconsistency. * As of now, there's no written drink menu--the server helps you choose based on your preferences, which is fun but not for everyone. That said, they're open until 4 AM, which is super rare in the DMV--great for night owls. We'll definitely be back to check out their happy hour next!

Me and a group of friends ended up at Silk Lounge after brunch while looking for a nearby spot to chill that had hookah. It was right down the street, not too packed when we pulled up (probably because it was freezing outside), and the vibes were solid from the jump. We ordered hookah and let me just say, it was super bussing. They kept coming around with refills nonstop. Honestly, almost too attentive in the best way. We tried telling them we had literally just sat down and didn't need a refill yet, but they insisted anyway. I swear after every refill, the hookah somehow got stronger and stronger. I don't know what they were putting in that coal, but it was hitting. One of the biggest reasons we stayed longer than planned was the music. The playlist was on point. Good enough that we ended up hanging out at least 30 minutes to an hour longer than we originally intended just because the vibes were right. Hospitality overall was great. Since it was cold outside, they had space heaters set up, which made a big difference and showed they were thinking about guest comfort. The only thing holding this back from five stars is the water situation. No tap water, and a bottled water came out to about $6 after tax, which is wild. They fix that, and this is an easy five-star spot all day.

Lamb chops, wings & brussel sprouts!

Food was great!! We made it during happy hour on a Saturday and were able to try everything. Oxtail egg-roll, lamb chops, pasta wings all delicious. They offer hookah also. We didn't partake but it's a good option for a fun night out. Drinks were good. Tequila sour and house margarita. Overall will be back

This is an elegant and intimate lounge spot located in northwest DC with a decent sized bar with a couple of tv's and surrounded by comfy couches and chairs. I stopped in during the evening hours (their happy hour runs from 5pm-9pm) and their menu features items like beef and chicken empanadas, fish tacos, and Rasta pasta ($12-$36). The staff was quite pleasant and helpful providing great suggestions for items to try given this was my first time at the location. I decided to test out the oxtail eggrolls and the chicken wings as well. The items arrived swiftly and were delicious: the wings were well-seasoned and not overcooked, and the oxtail eggroll was everything I had hoped it would be, tender and flavorful. Definitely give them a try whenever the opportunity presents itself, I'll certainly be looking forward to trying more of the food menu items as well as the hookah on my next outing.

The purple neon lighting creates this sultry, intimate atmosphere without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you can actually connect, laugh, and still feel like you're outside living. The music was a vibe. Smooth R&B blended with some Jamaican flavor and nostalgic cuts that made the room feel alive. It wasn't chaotic; it was curated. The sound set the tone without overpowering the experience. What stood out most was how comfortable the space felt. Beautiful crowd, welcoming energy, and that perfect balance between lounge and nightlife. It's not just somewhere you go to be seen; it's somewhere you go to feel good. Perfect first stop for my DC weekend. I'd absolutely return.

Came here with my a couple of my homies for a quick drink and this place is too cute. Small but spacious, dimly lit but not eerie or creepy and the bartender is NOT shy with the pours. I know sometimes men can feel a little put off by women being in their space, lesbian or not, which I completely understand, but we felt welcomed! It was empty for a weekend afternoon The drinks were cheap - $7 for specials and they weee made pretty strong. Service was friendly. They add 20% gratuity automatically and don't share that with you - which is always a pain and not appreciated when they don't tell you and with lots of restaurants following different rules in DC.

Once inside, we were escorted up an elevator to the rooftop which was set up very comfortably. There's a long bar that seats 10-15 guests, lots of high top tables, and a good handful of booths. The lighting is fun, views are solid, and open-covered patio is really nice. The drinks were good - there was a $6 vodka lemonade special for the day so we had a few rounds of those. The lemonade they used was delicious - perfectly tart to cut the vodka well. They also added mint to the drink, which really made it pop. I'm about to start doing the same at home! We tried the nachos which were a little disappointing. Nothing stood out from a flavor or taste perspective - they need a little pop of seasoning or flavor. They also weren't your traditional nacho platter, but seemingly an elevated 'fancier' version. Appreciate the effort to elevate the dish, but a classic sheetpan nacho would have been perfect. Our service was a little bit slow - we found ourselves having to work a little bit to flag down a waitress or bartender. Not terribly slow, but something that we noticed throughout the afternoon. Pro tip: Keep your eyes peeled as you head towards the entrance - the main door was a little tough to find. We walked right past the entrance way once and had to doubleback. A larger sidewalk presence might be helpful to help bring folks in.
