They sat us right in front of the speakers and we couldn't even hear each other if we were yelling. This is a great place to chill out, smoke a hookah, and work on the weekdays. It has hookah, reliable wifi, tea and red bull. It may have other things as well, but I'm a simple guy. The real attraction to me is the atmosphere. There is no hassle, no pressure, no bs, it's just a good place to be left alone or hang out with friends. It's also in a good location, near the restaurants and bars (they are open late most nights, and I mean 4am late). I hear that it gets more lively on the weekend nights and that they even have a dj, but I've never been there on a Friday or Saturday. The people that work their are friendly and attentive. Exotic provides you with two very different atmospheres. During the day, you can chill and relax for hours by reading papers, catching up on work, or watching live games. At night things are a bit more lively. They have a good Dj, also takes song request :-) They don't serve alcohol but they have different types of juices, tea, coffee and sodas. The Beef patties and sanbusa is delicious! I think they have it like every Friday and Saturdays! They offer wide selections of hookah flavors. My favorite one is orange/mint. Exoctic is typically my go to hookah spot in the DC area. On weekends they have a live DJ playing hip hop randing from the early 00s to today. This previous tine, I went with a group of 5 people and they told us the price was 2 for 45, which was fine. Because it is such a small space, we were standing for no more thab 10 minutes at the bar smoking our hookah. We were then seated for about 25 minutes before being told we had to buy another one or leave. I asked the young lady whats the time limit and she said 30 minutes! The previousl times I had been there the time limit was an hour and a half to two hours. They should let people know the time limit before people pay the $5 cover on top of the hookah. We lierally spend $75 for 30 minutes. If this is the actual policy, its not worth it. I wont be coming here again. read more

They have a wide variety of flavors, ranging from $15-$20. The guy who was working here was extremely attentive, checking on me every so often and keeping the coals hot. The reason I'm dropping a star from this review is because of the lack of booze or decent food/drink options. While they offer juice and tea, not even having beer was a huge disappointment (particularly when we figured this out after we had ordered our hookah). Additionally, it's cash only. DO NOT COME HERE. My review has nothing to do with the waitress and the service. It only concerns the owner. As you can see, the profile states that this establishment accepts credit cards. THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. THE ATM ALSO HAD NO CASH. I witnessed the owner open the ATM and remove ALL of the cash. He then has the nerve to tell my friend and I to get cash from the same ATM he removed ALL of be cash from an hour before. He could not tell me why his yelp page says he takes credit cards when in reality he does not. He was also incredibly rude and confrontational when I asked why he removed all of the cash from the ATM. My friend and I did eventually (easily) get cash from another ATM. The owner needs to change the yelp page AND LET PATRONS KNOW CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED PRIOR TO SEATING PATRONS. Again, DO NOT COME HERE. read more
