Siler is great! My family has been going here exclusively for several years and have always had a great experience. Note that they did move locations but are still in Burien :) The parking lot is small, but there is street parking all over that area, so it shouldn't be too tough to find a spot. As it is a license agency, they are going to be pretty busy. Go in the morning or during off peak hours and you'll have a way better time. The ladies who work here are always super nice and quick and efficient. I also order my registration tabs from them and they always arrive promptly. HORRIBLE unless you like being ignored and have nothing to do for a days worth of waiting. I did my tabs online to save time. Go there only to have no idea what line was what. Finally a customer told us we cut in the front of the line. I tryed to tell the lady at the window I had my tabs paid for and she needed my license which I got out for her. She then continued to go over all the things wrong with a customer on what they were trying to License. So they have NO ONE for Internet only tabs So after 20 minutes of hearing just a minute I left. Now I am going to another one I know of that has A PERSON right at the front for Internet only. I now have to Pay an extra $14.00 because i listed Silers online. NEVER WILL GO BACK THERE!!!! read more

I have little to no expectations from any kind of bureaucratic agency. The lady at the Driver's License Center asked me to pick up Washington plates from Siler, and so I was here in 15 minutes. Paid several hundred dollars (effin RTA excise tax; hope it's going to good use) and left with new plates. The only reason for one less star is they didn't accept my checks from PNC bank. read more

Angela gave me all the paperwork I need for the appointment and printed out temporary license plate for the car. She explained I could get a new one if it expired but only two more times. I accidentally put my tags on wrong. I called into Siler and asked if they could help. An amazingly nice woman answered and told me to just come in and they have this special tool that they can help peel off my tag and try to re-stick it into the correct spot. She sounded very earnest, but from my experience with any kind of DMV facilities, I was skeptical that this would happen. I couldn't imagine someone from the DMV coming out into the parking lot and helping me fix my tags. But low and behold, I walked in during my lunch, the same woman who helped me over the phone just so happen to be working that day. She actually left her booth, walked into the parking lot and did exactly what she told me they could do. I couldn't believe it. She helped me peel off my tag and place it on the correct side. She even gave me some tips to prevent it from being stolen. Even better, she replaced the month tab for free. She saved me $13 in replacement tags. Probably $100 in just my time in and of itself. But more importantly, the stress she saved me was priceless. Not sure why Siler License Agency doesn't have more stars. 5 Stars for sure for this place. Plus lots of parking and easy to find. Glad this place is my local licensing agency. read more

This Licensing office is overly-rigid with paperwork required for title transfers and is not flexible in using accurate auto market value for tax purposes. Despite this seemingly ultra-compliant approach to transfers, they screwed up my last car I ran through them and it took me almost 9 months to get an overcharging refund from DOL. Hopefully a Licensing office reopens in West Seattle to replace the crooked contractor that got shut down earlier this year. With that office closed, lines are long here and Georgetown Licensing. And remember, tab renewals can be done online. read more

I wish there was a zero star rating. Power tripping staff with a bad attitude and crazy wait times makes a trip to Siler a dreaded event, each and every time. Sadly, it makes me want to just stick to the DOL, you may have to wait longer at the DOL but the staff is capable of independent thought and decision making. I'll never go here again. Today was my third negative experience (meaning most of the staff is burned out with bad attitudes, the majority of them are not cut out for customer service) and I'm calling it a day. Temperature is way too hot in there! The staff is less than helpful with answering questions - directing people to websites for finding information instead of assisting. Trying to register a vehicle from another country, I've recently moved from Canada and the clerk didn't recognize a foreign registration certificate or bill of sale (suspected me of trying to pass a counterfeit). Canada doesn't use separate titles and registration. Get your act together people! If you're going to do a job, know what you're doing. Burien needs another choice for licensing, then, maybe this place may adopt a better attitude towards customer service. read more

So far been in line for 1 hour and a half, they only have 1 person doing titles. They have several other people working in their office helping no one. The dealers line hasn't had anyone in it but the person standing there can't help you for some reason! Just absolutely ridiculous! This agency is absolutely terrible. For starters, they moved from a rented office that was just marginal to an office that is way too small. Then they under staff so badly that often a dozen or more people have to stand outside where there are no signs and multiple lines of captive customers. Some people, mostly men, jump the lines and just force their way to the front. Nothing but chaos and incompetence. The clerks are rude and seem to hate their jobs. Had to wait quite a while, this wasn't the problem. There is no organization, no signs on where to stand, no social distancing at all. I asked the counter person if they had hand sanitizer available, she replied "personally, no?" I just wanted to sanitize the credit card machine that each person used before me and my hands after that. She was super rude. I understand that we all have to make changes in 2020 and now in to 2021 they have had plenty of time to prepare. But, hey, they know we need out tabs, titles and plates so why make the consumer fell safe? I for one will not return and unless you want to be in a small place with plenty of other people and no precautions you shouldn't either. read more

They have changed locations and now their parking is awful. My husband has one leg and tried to Park right in front of the building. A lady came out and was like if you are here for Siler's you have to park in the lower lot. Ok... So the lower lot has now handicap spots and no ramp... Not a happy customer at the moment. This place always has extremely long lines and you wait out in the cold. They should take lessons from Georgetown license in Seattle, which is awesome !! You get a pager and you can wait in your warm car til it goes off !! They move really fast and the wait is not long at all !!! I've never had such a pleasant experience with a dmv before. I was transferring my Florida registration and didn't have what I needed. They told me what to get and I was all set in under 30 minutes! Shocking to me as back home in Florida the dmv is an all day event!! Highly recommend! read more

Great place however a lot of customers don't pay attention to the lines so sometimes they move slow or they are in the wrong line. I had my lic plate number but no registration. I got my tabs and was in and out in 5 minutes. The owner is here on site everyday. 2$ fee for cards which kind of sucks. The ladies working here are very friendly. If you have all your info you shouldn't have any problems. There's no where to sit so you have to stand. Make sure you ask for itemized charges because they will try to get you with the 5$ donation for state parks which I don't use myself so watch out. Other than that this place is fine. What a mess - one of the clerks mixed up my plates with a someone else. When I tried to fix the issue, I was told by a DOL employee that I'd have to pay for my own plates again, even though it was an error on the side of the employee. I get that people make mistakes, but there should be an emphasis on ensuring you're not giving away the wrong plates. Now I have to go BACK to the dol and pay for them again. read more

Horrible customer service. My father gifted his truck he bought back in 1999. They refused to issue me my tabs unless I proved my father paid sales tax in 1999. Last time I checked there is sales tax in Az. Needless to say I got my plates and tabs at another location. This location is terrible! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! ...NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ...SERVICE WITH A ATTITUDE.... its called customer service for a reason, i am the customer, and i needed some service to register a out of state car, that was bought for me . First time coming in and automatically i get a sense that the woman helping me, is NOT knowledgeable, does she ask for help NO, she assumes she knows the answer even though she stated many times, "i don't know". was told i needed a emissions test, fine i can do that, come back dealt with the same woman, this time she says because the title was "altered" (meaning that people sometimes make mistakes, everything was initialed ,and only date) No Not good enough. she told us we had to send a letter to the state it came from asking the previous owner to state why it was altered.) also when i raised my voice, the other lady next to this one starts to talk $--t, when all is done, i had a very different experience from the other person on here who had a out of state car also. So if you want your day to go a little bit more sour, then by all means go here. if you want to only support businesses that work for you PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, they do not know what their doing, and you will have multiple excuses why it cant be done read more

I've been in a few times over the past 2 months as I was getting rid of vehicles and getting new ones.... after this I won't be back i'm tired of being spoken to like i'm stupid by the staff. I walk in a smile on my face ask them how they're doing try to be friendly and the lady behind the counter acts like she's talking to a mentally disabled leper... I was extremely insulted I won't be back again .... I'll be going to ballard from here on out as the employees at silar are horrible ..... I mean is it too much to ask to just do your job at leave the condescending comments at home.... I mean i'm sorry I interrupted you while you were reading your book on the clock but your job is to do title transfers and give out tabs.... if you don't want to do your job and treat your customers like crap maybe you shouldn't be at that job.... UPDATE: went to another licencing agency and found that siler licencing agency is padding the value of the vehicles.. they said one of the cars fair market value was 6k... ballard said it was only 3k..... sounds like siler is padding the value of the vehicles to charge more money in "taxes" on transfers... I am currently figuring out who within the state I need to contact to have them conduct an investigation into this companies practices as this really comes across as fraud on their part. read more

Love this location. They have an emission place close to them. This place can get busy but moves faster than most other DMV locations. Located in center of old DT Burien. I wish their parking was accessible and they had more organized lines inside the DMV but other than that it's a great location. read more
