Mine are sparse, so naturally, I was curious when I heard about it. I stumbled upon an up and coming technician, Alexa Bryan, on social media and contacted her for an appointment last Fall. While I was too scared to go through with the procedure at the time, I continued following her IG and saw her business flourish. Recently, the opportunity to connect presented itself once again, and the timing was perfect. Upon booking my appointment, she forwarded pre-procedure prep guidelines and let me know to allow 2 - 3 hours. Alexa is a welcoming and cheerful person, and took her time getting to know me, making sure I was comfortable, while answering any questions I had. She explained her background, training, and what drew her to start her own business. Her studio is a modern bright space, adjacent to Grand Junction Tattoo, but distinctly separate. She made sure to ask what I wanted and took 'before' pictures. Afterward, she applied angles to get precise measurements to create the initial brow shape and symmetry. We modified until I was happy, then outlined and prepped them before taking a short break. Once I was numb, we agreed on a color and got started. The process felt like a scraping, but was not uncomfortable or painful. We talked during the procedure, and before long, I was done and she took some 'after' pictures. Because its a two part process, she explained that I should expect changes in the shape and color over the next 10 days, and that color adjustments could be made during the second procedure. Shaena did a wonderful job and really took her time making sure the shape of my new and improved brows were perfect. I spent a lot of time researching this procedure and businesses that offer permanent cosmetics before choosing Litwin. My procedure was shorter than I expected and only took about 3 hours total, including the pre-shaping that Shaena does before she begins the actual microblading process. Shaena does a great job of explaining all of your options and helping you choose the best solution for you. She was extremely responsive and quick to answer all of my questions before my appointment. Microblading is a bit more uncomfortable than I had anticipated, but everyone has different levels of tolerance and Shaena makes the procedure as comfortable as possible with numbing gel. It is similar to getting a tattoo, but more of a slower, dragging feeling. They also offer a nanobrow procedure using a tool that is similar to a traditional tattoo gun that speeds up the procedure, so if you aren't comfortable with microblading, you may want to opt for nano instead. As with a tattoo, the discomfort is only temporary and IMO it's worth the long term results. Microblading has significantly shortened my morning routine, which no longer consists of filling in my brows and concealing a scar on my right brow. Now I can actually say "I woke up like this" because my face already feels put together the moment I get out of bed. No more reaching for my brow gel! The healing process has been easy and I've experienced minimal sensitivity and no bruising. It may sound dramatic, but I really feel like the benefits of cosmetic tattooing are life changing. If you've been thinking about having this procedure done, just go for it. You will not regret it!

Do you ever go to do something and get a really bad feeling? That's what happened today…read more First I get a message from the original girl I booked with that, "Something came up," but she was putting me with someone else and she was great. Well I then get there and walk in and no one is there to greet me, red flag #1. Then the esthetician finally gets me set up and the whole time she's just saying this isn't her normal set up, I'm going to be the last one here, and during my brow lamination she's thumbing through a book on how to do brow laminations. I wanted to cry. I will be the first to admit my eyebrows are lacking but I was so sad with how they turned out compared to great work I've seen online. Anyway, I immediately went home brushed them down. But what a waste of $100 and my eyebrow health. I knew I should've canceled. EDIT: After this service I got in contact with the owner who offered to allow the money I spent go to another service vs refunding my money (which she did mention they don't normally do but would this time) and she also provided me with a sample of cream to put on my eyebrows because not only did I not get the results I wanted I also apparently had a reaction to the chemicals used.
