After a setback the studio has been renovated, and new high-tech saunas were installed and they are magnificent! The near infrared (850 nm)/red (660 nm) dual wavelength combination helps with overall wellbeing, stimulates collagen, penetrates into the deeper tissues and will make you feel rejuvenated even after one session. Consistency is important though, so you'll want to adopt a schedule for how many weekly sessions to do. It's a great atmosphere and the management and owners are very accommodating since they heat up my room before my appointment. I like it HOT you see. I recently had a great experience with my first massage at this location. To start, booking the massage was seamless and easy! You can schedule an appointment by calling their main business line, or you can book an appointment through the Mindbody app if you're a regular customer. My appointment was booked with Kendra, although there are other ladies who I hear are professional and wonderful to work with as well. When I arrived for my appointment, Kendra greeted me with a warm, friendly smile and made me feel welcome. There is paperwork that clients need to fill out prior to their massage, which was new to me. The questionnaire allows the customer to provide information to the licensed massage therapist that will help them with their massage experience. It asks questions regarding medical history, current sore areas on the body or areas that need special attention, and other relevant information to make sure you have the best massage experience for your individual needs. I informed Kendra that I was having sciatic pain, and she asked me questions regarding to the pain and paid special attention to the problem area during my appointment. The bed has an adjustable heating element which I thought was a comforting touch to the overall experience. I knew going into the appointment that my muscles were very tense from my recent gym workout sessions, and Kendra worked diligently to relax my muscles and work all of the knots out. She was attentive to the amount of pressure she applied and was willing to lessen or increase the pressure based on what I wanted. She and I chatted for the entire 60 minute session, and she was fun and enjoyable to talk to! There are two rooms dedicated to massages, and the room I was in was quiet for the entire duration of the appointment (there were no outside noises drawing into the room), the room was clean and well kept, had dim lighting for a comforting environment, and soft music was played during the appointment to help with relaxation. I was very happy with my appointment and only wish I had booked it for a longer appointment time! I've already recommended this location to my co-workers, friends, and family. You remove your shoes and enter a darkened room with a coarse salt floor (think beach but with large granules of sand. There are several reclining chairs, blankets and relaxing music. A huge plus is that the chairs are wide and comfortable even for me as a plus size person (which is sadly not the case in many spas and healing centers). It is amazing how quick the time flies when in there. My most recent visit was after spending time outdoors during a bad flare up of the Canadian wildfires. I almost felt like I had grit in my lungs and was frequently using my inhaler. I won't say the salt caved was a miracle cure, but I did leave feeling some relief from the discomfort and breathing a little easier. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience and a different way to experience some relaxation and healing. Definitely check it out!
